  • the invention has for its object to show an automatable method for producing a multi-page cover for a brochure and to provide a flap brochure, which has an envelope with more than 8 pages.
  • the document DE 102006019868 A discloses a method of wrapping a similar book block except that the first fold line divides the cover sheet into two halves.
  • FIG. 1 a first embodiment of a suitable cover sheet (1) is shown.
  • This cover sheet (1) has a rectangular Form with side edges (21 and 22) and a head edge (20) and a foot edge (19).
  • a fold edge (2) extending parallel to the foot edge (19) divides the cover sheet (1) into an upper half (0) and a lower half (U).
  • Perpendicular to the first folded edge (2) a folded edge pair of two parallel and at a small distance from each other arranged folding edges (3, 4) is formed.
  • the folding edge pair (3, 4) is arranged centrally in the cover sheet (1) and divides the cover sheet (1) in a left half (1) and a right half (r).
  • the folding edge pair (3, 4) limits the later formed Umtschschreiben (5) of the multi-sided envelope, which is made from the cover sheet (1) according to the inventive method.
  • further folding edges (6 and 7) extending parallel to the folding edge pair (3, 4) are arranged both in the left half (1) and in the right half (r) of the cover sheet.
  • the folded edge (6) arranged in the left half (1) subdivides the left half (1) into an outer section (a) and an inner section (i).
  • the folded edge (7) arranged in the right half (r) of the cover sheet divides the right half (r) into an outer section (a) and an inner section (i).
  • the first folded edge (2) is preferably formed by a slot-groove punching in the cover sheet (1) and the perpendicular folded edges (3, 4) and (6, 7) are each preferably as a groove in the cover sheet (1) educated.
  • the Umtschschen (5) bounded by the folding edge pair (3, 4) on the top of the cover sheet (1) along a glue track (8) coated with glue or an adhesive.
  • a narrow side glue track (8a, 8b) is also applied to the right and left of this glue trace (8) on the cover back (5).
  • FIG. 2 shown schematically and FIG. 3 shows the intermediate step of the method according to the invention with the outer sections (a) folded over and embossed on the respectively adjacent inner section (i).
  • the envelope resulting after completion of this process step is in FIG. 5 shown in perspective.
  • the envelope is composed of the respective one front and one back having cover sheets 11, 12, 13 and 14 on the header and the cover sheets 15, 16, 17 and 18 at the trailer and arranged between the cover sheets 11 and 15 Umtschschreiben (5) together ,
  • the cover sheets 12 and 14 and 16 and 18 are each formed as an envelope flap and along the respective folded edge (6a, 6b or 7a and 7b) from the adjacent cover sheet (11, 13 or 15, 17) folded, as in FIG. 5 shown.
  • a book block can be hung in a conventional manner in a conventional perfect binder.
  • a back and / or side gluing the book block is made in the perfect binder to connect the book block with the envelope in a known manner.

  • FIGS. 7 to 9 Cover sheets (1) are shown, which can be used in alternative process guides for the production of multi-page leaflet envelopes.
  • a glue trace (8) provided only along the Umtschschreibens (5).
  • On a side gluing is omitted here.
  • a two-ply brochure cover can likewise be produced with the method steps described above, in which the two layers are glued together only along the glue track (8) on the cover back.
  • the brochure resulting from hanging the book block (23) is in FIG. 7 in the lower illustration in a side view in detail in the area of the brochure back.
  • the two layers of the brochure cover are glued together only at the Umtschschreiben (5).
  • FIG. 8 Another embodiment is in FIG. 8 shown. Unlike the embodiments of FIGS. 1 and 7 Here are the two layers of the leaflet envelope not along the Umtschschreibens (5) but along two parallel and spaced from the Umtschschreiben (5) extending soleimspuren (8a and 8b) connected to each other. Along the cover back (5) the two layers are free, whereby a hollow back is formed, through which a better impact behavior of the brochure can be achieved.
  • the brochure resulting with the manufacturing method according to the invention is shown in the illustration of FIG. 8 shown below in a side view in detail in the area of the back. From this view, it can be seen that the two layers are joined together only along the side glue tracks (8a and 8b) and are free along the cover back (5).
  • FIG. 9 Another embodiment is in FIG. 9 shown.
  • this embodiment also no gluing along the Umtschschreibens (5) is provided, but only along one of the Umtschschreiben (5) immediately adjacent and parallel to the Umtschschreiben (5) extending 9.leimspur (8c).
  • the resulting brochure is in the detail of the FIG. 9 shown below in a side view. From this it can be seen that the two layers of the brochure cover are connected to one another only along the side glue track (8c). This results in an impact of the brochure, which corresponds to that of a Swiss brochure.
  • gluing of the two layers of the brochure cover can initially be dispensed with.
  • the folded edges (3 and 4) of the Umtschschreiben (5) limiting fold edge pair (3, 4) by a line perforation or a punched in the cover sheet (1) are formed.
  • a book block (23) is hung in the leaflet envelope in a known manner.
  • a conventional perfect binder is used.
  • a back gluing and possibly also a side gluing of the book block (23) to be hooked is carried out.
  • the liquid glue penetrates through the openings of the perforations along the folding edges (3, 4) to the outer layer of the leaflet envelope (ie, the envelope sheets 11 and 15) ).
