Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method according to the preamble of the first independent claim, with which method printed products such as magazines or brochures, which print products can be produced consist essentially of a plurality of folded sheets.
  • Printed products consisting of a plurality of folded sheets are usually from an intermediate or from one Produced a plurality of sub-products, the intermediate or Partial products consist of a plurality of loosely folded sheets.
  • Such partial products are produced, for example, by that a printed paper web is cut lengthwise into a plurality of partial webs that the partial webs are guided one above the other and that the superimposed partial webs cut transversely and essentially folded in the middle between the cutting lines.
  • cover sheets can be used in a variety of ways or cover sheets and / or back panels on the combined Part products are attached.
  • the object of the invention is also a method for the production to show printed products from at least one partial product, wherein the partial product consists of a plurality of loosely folded one inside the other Sheets are made as it is produced, for example, by gravure printing (tabloid).
  • the process should be very easy to carry out and as simple as possible to different people Customizable product thicknesses, product formats and / or paper qualities his. Nevertheless, it should deliver a product that is comparable Quality has like corresponding products manufactured according to known methods, which in particular has similarly good opening properties.
  • the method according to the invention is intended to make it easy to add to the product in addition to the sub-products, other printed products, such as single pages or smaller, printed cards or sample bags or similar and the product with cover sheets, cover sheets and / or To provide back paneling.
  • the sheets of the partial products are folded in theirs State to be stapled and that the folded state of each sheet through the stitch is fixed.
  • the sub-products have to be collected not be opened, that is, they do not need any tools to be equipped, such as a pre-fold a simple Allows opening.
  • the stitch with which the assembled partial products are summarized is, for example, a multiple, for example a triple Wire stitching or a full length spine Thread stitching.
  • the step of collating is omitted.
  • a product of the same type as that which is produced from only one intermediate product also arises if instead of collating, a plurality of partial products are inserted into one another or collected on one another and the partial products are then stitched together in the manner described above.
  • Such a method is conceivable, but it has the disadvantage that with an increasing number of sheets folded into one another, the necessary distance of the stitching from the spine increases, and as a result a larger area of the pages cannot be printed on and the opening of the finished product is more and more impaired.
  • a cover sheet is placed around the stack of partial products or back strips and with the stitch on the product attached.
  • the method according to the invention has the based on the gluing of a milled back, the advantage that it is largely regardless of the paper quality to be processed, it is no drying time or curing time and energy required and that it delivers a non-aging product. Furthermore, the most varied can easily Paper qualities and / or differently coated papers with each other are processed for which different types of glue are used in a gluing process would be necessary.
  • the folded The sheet according to the invention has to be stapled in the fold Process the advantage that the sheets of different partial products are not opened that the alignment and pressing of the sheets for the Stapling is easier because there is no need to staple in the fold, and that too individual pages can be easily integrated into the product.
  • the Fold stitching however, the paper stack to be stapled is twice as thick, but what up to very high thicknesses easily manageable with known staplers is.
  • FIG. 1 schematically shows an exemplary variant of the method according to the invention for producing printed products which essentially consist of a plurality of folded sheets.
  • the partial products are manufactured by cutting the printed paper webs 10, 20 or 30 lengthways (schematically represented by two small scissors each), by the by the Slitting 11, 12 and 13 or 21, 22, 23 or 31, 32, 33 are guided one above the other by turning over turning bars 3, by cutting the overlapping partial webs across and by the groups of superimposed that result from the cross cutting Arch (11/12/13, 21/22/23 and 31/32/33) across and essentially be folded in the middle.
  • the result of the cross cutting and folding of the overlapping partial webs The resulting partial products are brought together on a collation line to a stack 40 (11/12/13 + 21/22/23 + 31/32/33).
  • a cover sheet 41 e.g. front page
  • Stack 40 and cover sheet 41 combined into a finished product 50, by, for example, three staples on a stitching line 42 parallel to the spine 43 51 are attached.
  • the printed product 50 is optionally opened at the three Trimmed edges.
  • FIG. 2 shows a printed product 60, which essentially consists of folded sheets and is produced by the method according to the invention.
  • the product shown consists of only one partial product or it was created by collecting or inserting different partial products in such a way that all sheets are folded into one another.
  • the position of the stitching line 42 is one Must have a minimum distance d from the outermost back edge 43, namely in such a way that the innermost sheet of the product is captured by the stitching and is held.
  • the distance between Stitch line 42 and outermost back edge 43 must in any case be larger than half the thickness of the finished product.
  • FIGS. 3 to 6 also show different variants with which products produced by the process according to the invention can be provided with cover sheets and / or back coverings.
  • Figure 3 shows a printed product 81, which consists of eight sub-products of different thicknesses and which is provided in a known manner with a cover sheet 82, the cover sheet 82 having a format which essentially corresponds to two sides of the finished product plus spine width. Sub-products and cover sheets are then joined together by stapling.
  • FIG. 4 shows a further, exemplary printed product 83.
  • This backing strip 84 is also to be positioned on the back before stapling and then fastened to the product with the stapling.
  • FIG. 5 shows a further printed product 87 which, like the product 81 of FIG. 3, is provided with a cover sheet 82 connected by the stapling to the partial products, the staples being covered by cover strips 88 which are, for example, glued on locally.
  • FIG. 6 shows a further printed product 95 with a cover sheet 96 consisting, for example, of stiff paper or cardboard, which was connected to the partial products by stapling them.
  • cover sheet 96 consisting, for example, of stiff paper or cardboard, which was connected to the partial products by stapling them.
  • the cover sheet is folded parallel to the stitching line, the folding line 97 being further away from the product spine than the stitching line.
