Abstract

A packaging for cigarettes or other items is designed as a covered box with a box part (10) and a lid (11). An open side of the box part (10) can be sealed by a tight-fitting covering film (28) which is detachably connected to the covered box and/or the box part (10) by means of adhesive strips (29) along the edges and which can be opened and closed repeatedly.

Description

The invention relates to a pack of the type cap box for lumpy packaged goods, in particular products of the tobacco-processing industry, consisting of a (lower) shaft part and a lid connected thereto.

Capsule boxes are used worldwide for the packaging of cigarettes. Usually, this type of packing consists of a rectangular, possibly also square box part with box bottom, upright side and transverse walls. A lid formed in an analogous manner is pivotally connected to the box part, usually by a strip of material or paper, the box part and lid together. When the lid is open, one open side of the box part is completely free so that the cigarettes are ready in full length. Usually located within the box part, a collar or a frame of a web-like strip of material that runs around and protrudes with a supernatant from the box part. The cigarettes or a cigarette group is therefore surrounded by the frame. Such a pack is over US 5938 018 known. A package according to the preamble of claim 1 is made US 5938 018 known. GB 1269 783 discloses a further pack with a support made of plastic.

The invention is concerned with the further development and improvement of such or similar cap boxes. The aim is to increase the tightness of the package against loss of aroma and moisture, but at the same time not to impair the handling by the consumer and also the industrial producibility of the package. Furthermore, new applications of this type of packaging to be developed.

The invention is therefore the object of cappods in such a way that they meet the above requirements.

To solve this problem, a package according to claim is disclosed.

The large open side of the box part is responsible for aroma and moisture loss. The (tight) sealing foil counteracts this disadvantage. A multiple-use, namely in the open and closed position bringable sealing film increases the aroma and moisture preservation even after the first opening of the pack.

The invention shows different possibilities for the attachment of the cover sheet covering the open side. One approach is that a separate inner piece is inserted into the cap box or in the box part to which the closure or covering is releasably attached or detachable, in particular with permanent adhesive for repeated use. Alternatively, this can also be connected to the frame, namely with the edge strip protruding from a box part.

As an alternative, in the cap box, namely in the chess part, an insert or a cover introduced, which covers a partial area or the vast area of the open side with a top wall, such that in the top wall an opening for the removal of the contents remains free. This embodiment of the cap box is particularly suitable for receiving chewing tobacco portions and similar pieces of packaged goods.

Cap boxes are cuboid hard packs, which usually consist of (thin) cardboard. The standard construction includes a (lower) box part 10 and a lid 11. The box part 10 consists of a box bottom 12, here to transverse box longitudinal wall 13, 14 and box transverse wall 15, 16. Accordingly, the lid 11 consists of a top wall 17, opposite to the box bottom 12, cover longitudinal walls 18, 19 and cover transverse walls 20, 21. Box part 10 and lid 11 are pivotally connected to each other by a line joint. To this Purpose are the rear box transverse wall 15 and the associated lid transverse wall 20 by a strip of material or a hinge strip, in particular made of paper, connected to each other.

To a standard cap box further includes a frame 22 or collar, which consists of an elongated strip of material and is arranged as a closed unit in the box part 10, wherein frame longitudinal walls 23 and frame transverse walls 24 bear against the inside of the box walls 13..16 and preferably bonded to them by adhesion. The frame 22 is dimensioned such that a strip of material or a frame part 25 protrudes from the box part 10 around it. This free frame part 25 is encompassed by the cover 11 in the closed position of the pack. The package contents are usually arranged flush with the frame 22.

The cap boxes according to Fig. 1 to Fig. 18 are preferably used to hold cigarettes 26. A cigarette group 27 with several layers one above the other is arranged in the box part 10 and surrounded by the frame 22. A free, upwardly directed side of the box part 10 is covered by a closure element, in particular by a closure film 28 of preferably moisture and aroma-resistant material. The closure film 28 may be multi-layered (laminate). The closure film 28 is dimensioned and arranged so that at least the open side of the box part 10 is covered over its entire area in the closed position.

Furthermore, the closure film 28 is designed for repeated opening and reclosing of the package. For this purpose, the closure film 28 is fixed to the box part 10 or a special additional element in the box part 10 by adhesive, in particular by permanent adhesive, in such a way that in the closed position a largely dense contact of the closure film 28 is given to the box part 10 and to the additional element.

In the embodiment according to Fig. 1 to. Fig. 6 The closing film 28 corresponds approximately to the size and contour of the box part 10 or of the area enclosed by the frame 22. The closure film 28 is provided with a peripheral edge-side adhesive strip 29 which forms longitudinal strips 30 and transverse strips 31. On the opposite side to the lid 11, ie in the region of a box transverse wall 16, the opening side is provided in the present case by a (adhesive-free) grip tab 32. The sealing film 28 is connected to a separate element in the box part 10, with an insert 33 from a separate blank ( Fig. 3 ). The blank is designed so that - starting from an intermediate folding position according to Fig. 4 - An automatic erection in a cup shape or in an open-top box shape is possible, with insert side walls 34, 35 are folded into an upright position. The insert 33 in this embodiment is formed so that the insert side walls 34, 35 are double-layered, namely in each case with two individual walls 36, 37 at a distance from each other. An insert bottom wall 38 abuts the box bottom 12, while the insert side walls 34, 35 on the inside of the box walls 13, 14, 15, 16 or, as in Fig. 1 shown, on the frame walls 23, 24 abut. The space available for the package contents is reduced by the width of the insert side walls 34, 35. It thus arises around the contents of the package, ie next to the cigarette group 27, a transverse material strip or connection strip 39 as connection of the individual walls 36, 37, with which the closure film 28 is detachably connected via the adhesive strip 29.

The insert 33 is made so that trapezoidal connection tabs 40 are bonded (glued) to the underside of the insert bottom wall 38, in a relative position as shown in FIG Fig. 4 , Due to a number of parallel (shown with dashed lines) fold lines are thus all areas of the insert 33 in the required relative position. By erecting the insert side walls 34, 35, a parallelogram effect becomes effective such that the individual walls 36, 37 are spaced apart in an upright position and the connecting strip 39 is folded as a transverse end of each insert side wall 34, 35, respectively.

The trained in the above or similar manner insert 33 allows a machine feasible manufacture of the package. The flow chart according to Fig. 6 shows in the direction of the arrows the following stations: A standard cap box is factory prefabricated and in particular with a strip of tape running around Paper delivered. On three sides, a separating cut is then made, whereby the box part 10 and cover 11 are separated from each other while maintaining the connection in the region of the joint. The cap box can then be opened. In another station, the prepared insert 33 is inserted from above into the box part 10, in a flat-lying Zwischenfaltstellung according to Fig. 4 , In this case, pressure in the area of the insert bottom wall 38 is effective, with the result that the insert side walls 34, 35 are erected by the box walls or by the frame 22 in the functional position. This step of inserting the insert 33 may be coordinated with the insertion of the group of cigarettes 27 such that both units enter the package simultaneously or immediately in succession. Thereafter, the provided with around peripheral edge adhesive strips 29 sealing film 28 is placed, such that the adhesive strips 29 abut the connecting strip 39 of the insert 33. The gripping tab 32 is located on the opposite side to the lid 11. The cap box is then closed.

The insert for fixing a closure film can also be designed and / or arranged such that it assumes the function of the frame 22. Such an embodiment shows FIG. 7 to FIG. 12 , The insert 41 used in this pack consists of a rectangular or square blank ( Fig. 9 ). This is designed so that only in the area of two opposite sides, here in the area of the box longitudinal walls 13, 14, double-walled insert side walls 42 are provided with two individual walls 43, 44 and an upper, free connection strip 45. With this a closure film 46 is connected, which is attached with longitudinal adhesive strips 47 to the connecting strip 45. Transverse transverse adhesive strips 48 are connected in this embodiment with upright insert walls, namely with an insert transverse wall 49 adjacent to the lid 11 on the one hand and with an opposite insert transverse wall 50 on the other. The closure film 46 is angled for this purpose, such that an end-side leg 51 rests with the transverse adhesive strip 48 on the respective upright insert transverse wall 49, 50 and is connected thereto. The front leg 51 is provided with the grip tab 52, which lies in the closed package within the range of the lid 11.

The cut ( Fig. 9 ) for this insert 41 has the double-walled insert side walls 42 with the individual walls 43, 44, which are delimited by the connecting strip 45. These folding flaps extend over the full length of the cap box or of the box part 10. The regions for the internal individual walls 43 are arranged adjacent to one another and delimited from one another only by a peripheral support strip 53. The adjacent support strips 53 are delimited from one another by a central separating cut 54. At the ends of the folding tabs 43, a cross-section 55 is attached, which separates the internal individual walls 43 from the insert transverse turns 49, 50.

The thus formed blank is in a first folding step in the position according to Fig. 10 folded, in which the blank or the insert 41 has a cap-shaped, only open at the bottom. In this Zwischenfaltstellung the insert 41 is inserted into the pack, namely in the open box part 10 (FIG. Fig. 12 ). Thereafter, the insert 41 in the end position according to Fig. 11 folded, by moving down the trained as a free wing walls 43 with the support strips 53, the system received at the box bottom 12. The inserts 33 and / or 41 of the described embodiments can each be arranged within a frame 22 of the box part 10. But you can also completely replace the frame. Furthermore, the cap boxes can be factory prepared to the extent that the inserts 33, 41 are used in the factory production of the package in this and thus finished cap boxes are provided with insert of the packaging machine for the cigarettes available.

Instead of a separate insert piece, a frame 22 designed in a conventional or modified manner can also be used to fasten a closure film or a closure flap.

Such an embodiment is in FIGS. 13 to 16 shown. Here, the closure element or the closure film 28 is part of a larger film cover 56. This consists of the closure film 28, here in the area size corresponding to the box part 10, and edge - side connecting straps, namely longitudinal straps 57 and transverse straps 58, 59 provided with glue at the side facing the box part 10, namely with glue strips 60 corresponding approximately to the length and width of the flaps 57, 58, 59. The longitudinal flaps 57 are in the packaging positioning of the film cover 56 (FIG. Fig. 14 ) folded against the frame longitudinal walls 23 and the free frame part 25 and connected thereto by the glue strips 60. The dem_Deckel 11 facing_Querlasche 58 is connected to the frame transverse wall 24 on the lid 11 and the transverse tab 59 on the outside with the frame transverse wall 24 opposite to the lid 11. The transverse flap 59 is designed such that, in addition, the area of the glue strip 60 is formed by the grip tab 32, which is folded upwards in the initial position and thus hidden by the closed lid 11 (FIG. Fig. 14 ).

In the region of the longitudinal straps 57, the closure film 28 can be separated out of the composite with the film cover 56, namely by weakening or perforation lines 61. When the package is opened for the first time, the grip tab 32 is grasped, the transverse tab 59 being pulled off the frame transverse wall 24 and then the closure sheet 28 is severed along the lines of perforation 61 to the opposite frame transverse wall with the cross-bar 58 which also remains in contact with the frame 22. Upon reclosure, the cross-tab 59 engages the front frame transverse wall 24 over the glue strip 60 reconnected. In the area of the perforation lines 61, that is to say on the longitudinal sides, there remains a gap as the boundary of the closure film 28. The longitudinal flaps 57 and the transverse flap 58 are therefore permanently connected to the box part or the frame 22.

The package contents or the cigarette group 27 may be surrounded by an additional, in particular tight envelope, namely by an inner cut 62 made of tinfoil or the like. In the embodiment according to Fig. 13 If the inner blank 62 is strip-shaped, therefore, the cigarette group 27 does not surround in the region of longitudinal sides of the pack. At the upper side, that is to say in the region of the sealing film 28, there are two partially overlapping blanking tabs 63, 64 of the inner blank 62 provided, which also automatically enter the closed position when closing the sealing film 28.

In the embodiment according to Fig. 17 to Fig. 19 a two-part or two-layer closure unit 65 is provided for the box part 10. These glue areas are designed such that the longitudinal straps 57 and both transverse straps 58, 59 are permanently connected to the box part 10 or to the frame 22.

The actual closure film 28 is formed as a partial region of the film cover 66, by a weakening or perforation 67. This is U-shaped and limits the (smaller) sealing film 28, to a border or folding edge 68 adjacent to Cover 11 can be separated out of the film cover 66. According to embodiment of the Fig. 25 can be dispensed with the inner package 79. The cap boxes according to FIGS. 20 to 25 can also be modified to the effect that the frame 22 is omitted and instead the side and transverse walls 73..76 of the cap-like Abdeckstücks 71 take over their function.

All embodiments of the described cap boxes can be provided in the usual way with an outer envelope made of film and tear strips. To further increase the tightness of the packs described, it is proposed that the packaging material of scraper part 10 and cover 11 be coated at least on the inside. For this purpose, substances with improvement of the tightness can be applied to the surface of the packaging material. As a packaging material is also a laminate advantageous that has a higher density due to the composition. This embodiment of the material can also be used in the cover piece 71. Furthermore, the embodiments according to Fig. 1 to Fig. 19 be suitable for the inclusion of smaller, lumpy products, with a correspondingly smaller training and appropriate arrangement of the sealing film 28. Claims (15)

1. A pack of the covered-box type made of (thin) cardboard for piece-form pack contents, in particular for cigarettes (26), comprising a (bottom) box part (10) and a lid (11) connected in a pivotable manner thereto, the pack contents being covered by a closure sheet (28) which can be pulled off, characterized by the following features:

   a) the closure sheet (28) is fastened to a supporting part such that the closure sheet (28) can be moved into an open position and a closed position repeatedly,

   b) the supporting part comprises a separate blank made of thin cardboard and is fixed in the box part (10),

   c) the supporting part extends all the way around in the box part (10) and abuts against longitudinal box walls (13, 14) and transverse box walls (15, 16) of the box part (10),

   d) the supporting part forms abutment surfaces for connecting the closure sheet (28) to the supporting part.

The pack as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the supporting part for the closure sheet (28) is configured as a insert piece (33) comprising a foldable blank made of thin cardboard and folded such that the insert piece (33, 41), at least in the region of two opposing longitudinal box walls (13, 14), comprises at least two spaced-apart walls or individual walls (36, 37; 43, 44), with the individual walls (36, 37; 43, 44), connected to each other by means of a connecting strip (39, 45), forming a horizontal surface for the detachable fixing of the closure sheet (28, 46).

The pack as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the supporting part or an insert piece (41) comprises a blank with lateral individual walls (44) adjacent to the longitudinal box walls (13, 14), with transverse insert walls (49, 50) adjacent to the transverse box walls (15, 16) and with folding tabs delimited by severing cut (54) and transverse cut (55) for the formation of inner individual walls (43) parallel to the (outer) individual walls (44), with the transverse insert walls (49, 50) adjacent to an articulation of the lid (11) and on an opposite side of the box part (10) each forming a single-layer wall of the insert piece (41).
4. The pack as claimed in claim 3 or one of the further claims, characterized in that the blank for the insert piece (41) can be inserted into the box part (10) by erecting the transverse insert walls (49, 50) as well as the individual walls (43, 44), it being possible to erect the inner individual walls (43) by pressing subregions against a box base (12).
5. The pack as claimed in claim 1 or one of the further claims, characterized in that the closure sheet (28, 46, 78) has peripheral connecting strips or glue strips (30, 31; 47, 48; 59; 69) for the detachable connection of the closure sheet (28, 46, 78) to the insert piece (22, 33, 41, 71), in particular adhesive-bonding strips.

The pack as claimed in claim 1 or one of the further claims, characterized in that the supporting part or insert piece is configured as an all-round frame (22) within the box part (10), with longitudinal frame walls butting against longitudinal box walls (13, 14) and transverse frame walls (24) butting against transverse box walls (15, 16) and with a free, upper peripheral strip projecting out of the box part (10), with a closure sheet (28) or a sheet-material covering (66) with longitudinal flaps (57) and transverse flaps (58, 59) abutting the upright, free side surfaces of the frame (22) and being connected to the latter by adhesive bonding.

The pack as claimed in claim 1 or one of the further claims, characterized in that a sheet-material covering (56) or a closure unit with lateral flaps (57, 58, 59) and having a sheet-material covering (66) is fixed permanently to upright surfaces of the box part (10) or of a supporting part, in particular to the regions of a frame (22) which project out of the box part (10), and a closure sheet (28) for opening and closing the box part (10), as part of the sheet-material covering (56, 66), can be severed, or pulled off, from this covering, with the closure sheet (28) preferably being delimited as part of the sheet-material covering (56, 66) by means of weakening lines or perforation lines (61, 62).

The pack as claimed in claim 7 or one of the further claims, characterized in that the closure sheet (28) or the sheet-material covering (56) has an in particular glue-free grip tab (32), preferably on a transverse frame wall (24) located opposite the articulation of the lid (11), for pulling off a transverse flap (59) of the sheet-material covering (56) and for pulling off, or severing, the closure sheet (28) along preferably peripheral perforation lines (61), the perforation lines (61, 67) preferably extending up to a peripheral edge which is formed by a transverse box wall (15) and/or a transverse frame wall (24) adjacent to the articulation of the lid (11).

The pack as claimed in claim 7 or one of the further claims, characterized in that the box part (10) is covered by a closure unit (65) which comprises the sheet-material covering (66) and an actuating flap (68) which is arranged on the outside of the sheet-material covering and covers over the closure sheet (28), bounded by perforation lines (67), such that the closure sheet (28), as part of the sheet-material covering (66), can be severed from the connection by the actuating flap (68), with the actuating flap (68) preferably covering over the region of the grip tab (32) on at least three sides such that the actuating flap (68) forms lateral connecting strips (69) which, on account of corresponding gluing, are connected in a releasable manner to regions of the sheet-material covering (66) outside the closure sheet (28).
10. The pack as claimed in claim 9 or one of the further claims, characterized in that, on the side which is located opposite the articulation of the lid (11), the actuating flap (68) has a preferably glue-free grip tab (32) and is fastened by means of glue, by way of an end retaining strip (70), on a transverse frame wall (24), which is directed toward the articulation of the lid (11), and/or in this region, on a transverse flap (58) of the sheet-material covering (66).
11. The pack as claimed in claim 1 or one of the further claims, characterized by the following features:

    a) arranged in the box part (10) as a supporting part is a covering piece (71) comprising a separate blank,

    b) the covering piece (71) has an upper wall or a top wall (72) which at least partially covers an open side of the box part (10),

    c) the covering piece (71), or the top wall (72) thereof, has an opening or a window (77) for the removal of the pack contents,

    d) the window (77) is covered by a closure means which can be used in particular repeatedly, preferably by a closure flap (78) which covers over the window (77), is made of sheet material and is fastened in a detachable manner around the periphery, by means of adhesive, on the top wall (72) in the region of the window (77).
12. The pack as claimed in claim 11 or one of the further claims, characterized in that the covering piece (21) is of cap-like or cup-like design, that is to say with a top wall (72) and side covering walls (73, 74) and transverse covering walls (75, 76), with the upright walls (73..76) preferably standing on a box base (12) and connected to the box part (10) directly or to a frame (22).
13. The pack as claimed in claim 11 or one of the further claims, characterized in that the window (77) is covered by a closure means which can be used in particular repeatedly, preferably by a closure flap (78) which covers over the window (77), is made of sheet material and is fastened in a detachable manner around the periphery, by means of adhesive, on the top wall (72) in the region of the window (77).
14. The pack as claimed in claim 11 or one of the further claims, characterized in that the interior formed by the covering piece (71) and the box part (10) contains a separate inner pack (79) for the pack contents, in particular a sheet-material or bag pack with closure seams (80), the inner pack (79) having a removal opening (84) in the region of the window (77) of the top wall (72).
15. The pack as claimed in claim 14 or one of the further claims, characterized in that the removal opening (84) of the inner pack (79) is covered by a closure flap (78) which is fastened on the inner pack (79) in the region of the removal opening (84) by means of adhesive such that the closure flap (78) is arranged on the inner pack (79) in the region of the window (77) and can be actuated by means of grip tab (85) through the window (77).
