Definitions
- the invention relates to a symmetrical electrical contact for mutual contacting, formed from a contact body, with a contact side and a terminal end to be inserted into a plug body for a detachable contacting of connectors, for the transmission of high-frequency signals.
- Such a symmetrical contact is needed for a detachable plug-in connection, in which high-frequency signals must be transmitted as smoothly as possible.
- a printed circuit board connector for direct connection of two printed circuit boards wherein electrical contacts are each held on a printed circuit board in an insulating body.
- the electrical contacts are bent as flat corner contacts by 45 ° in the X and Y directions, with a contact finger in the corner is aligned in the Z direction.
- the electrical contacts are now held in such an insulating body that the corner side are aligned with the soldering ends perpendicular to the insulating body, while the other corner side is aligned at 45 ° within the insulating body.
- the contact finger is aligned in the direction of insertion to the mating connector.
- the two contact fingers meet at 45 ° to the insulator aligned, but in itself, against each other in parallel, wherein the contact surface of a contact finger is flat and the other slightly convex.
- the invention is therefore the object of such a form a symmetrical electrical connector contact for the transmission of high-frequency signals that are reduced to a minimum, regardless of the insertion depth of the contacts, reflections and propagation delays of the signals.
- the electrical contacts are formed from a contact body having a contact side and a terminal end, wherein the contact side is provided with two molded, symmetrical spring legs with opposite contact tips having rounded contact zones.
- the contact tips similar to a circular section shaped as a shoulder, with a thinner material thickness than the general material thickness of the spring leg or the contact body.
- the spring legs opposite terminal end of the contact body is provided with a 90 ° to the spring legs angled solder pin, ie transverse to the insertion direction, and has a soldering surface for a Surface soldering on.
- the soldering pin is angled at 45 ° to the surface of the contact body.
- a plug body in which the symmetrical, electrical contacts can be used.
- the plug body has intersecting, rectangular-shaped chambers for receiving the electrical contacts. Wherein one of the chamber is provided for latching each of an electrical contact, while the second chamber has only a certain insertion depth into which the electrical contact of a mating connector equipped with the same contacts can be inserted.
- the spring legs of the electrical contacts facing the plug side are advantageously guided at least halfway into sub-chambers, which are formed in at least one longitudinal wall penetrating the plug body. The spring legs are guided almost to the contact points in the sub-chambers.
- a single symmetrical electrical contact 1 is shown, which is formed from a stamped metallic contact body 4, with a contact side 3 and a terminal end. 5
- the contact body 4 is slightly trapezoidal in shape, on the tapered side of the contact side 3 is provided with U-shaped spring legs 13, at the ends opposite, symmetrically shaped contact zones 16 are arranged on contact blades 15. Wherein the contact blades 15 are formed parallel to the contact zones 16 and narrower by means of a shoulder 17 than the remaining material thickness of the spring legs 13. Wherein the paragraph 17 may have different lengths.
- connection side 5 is formed by an integrally formed, freed soldering pin 10 which is angled relative to the contact body 4 by about 45 ° in the punching direction of the contact 1.
- soldering pin 10 is held on a molded onto the wider side of the trapezoidal connector 7, wherein the connecting part 7 but is designed to be narrower than this trapezoidal side.
- connection part 7 a so-called undercut 8 is formed on both sides of the connection part 7, for locking the contact 1 in a plug body 20th
- the soldering pin 10 is formed integrally on one of the vertical sides of the connecting part 7 and arranged horizontally below the connection part 7 and has a slightly offset soldering surface 11.
- Fig. 2 an embodiment is also provided in which the contact blades are formed in a variant of an electrical contact 1 'by means of a bevel 18, thus narrowing from the material thickness of the spring legs 13 to the contact zone 16.
- FIG. 3 two plugged electrical contacts 1 are shown.
- the two symmetrical contacts are rotated in the direction of insertion by 90 ° to each other and put together.
- the function of the oblique transition zone 14 between the spring legs 13 for widening the contact tips 15 on the material thickness of the contact body 4 can be seen.
- the contact blades 15 are pushed with the contact zones 16 almost to the mutual stop of the electrical contacts at the transition zones 14 each on the other contact 1.
- FIG. 4 shows how two electrical contacts 1, 1 are plugged together, at a time before the contact zones 16 contact the other contact body. That is in the Fig. 1 indicated by the line 4 - 4, at the height of which are approximately the two contact zones 16 of the electrical contacts.
- the electrical contacts shown here are designed in the geometry of the contact caps 15 such that they do not touch during the mating process.
- the contact blades 15 are narrower than the spring legs 13, so that during the mating process no mutual contact takes place and the contact blades 15 are only bent apart with the sliding of the contact zones 16 on the slope 14 between the spring legs 13 to each other on the contact body 4 to contact.
- Fig. 5 is the time shown, in which two electrical contacts 1 'are plugged together, which instead of the paragraph 17 have a slope 18 on the contact tips 15 between the spring legs 13 and contact zones 16, at the time when the two contact zones 16, the transition zone 14 reach before the contact blades 15 and widen the contact body 4 contact. That is in the Fig. 1 indicated by the line 5-5, at the height of which are approximately the two contact zones 16 of the electrical contacts.
- the Fig. 6 shows a section of the plug body 20 in which a number of symmetrical, individual electrical contacts 1 are inserted in two rows.
- 20 offset rectangular chambers 23 are provided on the solder side 22 at 45 ° to the longitudinal direction of the plug body 20, which are guided to the mating side 21 of the plug body and in which the electrical contacts 1 are inserted and latched.
- a latching is achieved by means of the undercut 8 of the contact body 4 in a corresponding recess within the chamber 23.
- the inserted contacts are now led out with 90 ° laterally to the longitudinal direction of the plug body due to the offset by 45 ° chambers 23 and their bent by 45 ° solder pins 10.

Description

Fig. 3 sind zwei miteinander gesteckte elektrische Kontakte 1 gezeigt.
Fig. 9 gezeigt.
