Definitions

  • It relates generally to port handling of goods packaged in standardized containers to be transported by ship.
  • Shipment of goods by sea today is mainly done by means of standardized containers 1 of which the two most used models are respectively twenty and forty feet long ( figure 1 ).
  • These containers are in the form of large parallelepipedic metal boxes having at each of the eight corners where the horizontal 3 and vertical edges 4 of the walls meet, a hollow element 5 of substantially cubic shape whose upper or lower surface is provided with a oblong opening 6 for receiving a rotating lock 7 for securing the containers when superimposed on the transport ship.
  • These devices can be manually operated by means of a lever 8 or automatic type ( Figures 2 and 3.a ).
  • turn locks (called “twists” by tradespeople), are set up by the dockers under the floor of the containers before they embark.
  • the container attached to a crane or a ferry bridge, is maintained at a certain height above the ground.
  • the equipment according to the present invention aims to remedy this state of affairs. It is designed to promote the synchronization of people and machines in order to optimize the loading of containers whatever the weather conditions.
  • This equipment also delimits the work area and reduces the risk of accidents. It removes the wait for setting up "twists" and allows a minimum of rotation for the crane.
  • the docker is sheltered from the weather.
  • the solution proposed by the invention is an equipment consisting of the assembly of a metal support structure on which are placed and immobilized the containers, and a shelter structure for the establishment in complete safety for stakeholders, locks rotating under the floor containers to be stacked, through a series of cuts corresponding to openings in the support structure and arranged to allow access to the hollow elements receiving the twist locks and located at the bottom of the vertical edges of the containers.
  • the object of the invention is to facilitate the implementation of devices intended to make integral containers superimposed onboard a ship, and the object is the port handling of goods packaged in standardized containers to be transported by boat.
  • a metal support structure 11 on which are placed and immobilized the containers 1, 2, and a shelter structure 10 allowing the establishment under the floor of said containers, safely and protected from the weather for the speakers, rotating latches 7 for securing the containers to be superimposed, thanks to cutouts 20, 20 'corresponding to openings 19, 19', 19 ", 19” 'provided in the support structure 11 and arranged to allow access to the hollow elements 5 receiving said twist locks and located at the bottom of the vertical edges 4 of said containers.
  • the equipment object of the invention is formed of a shelter structure 10 surrounding a metal support structure 11 determined to receive a twenty-foot container 1 or a container forty feet.
  • the shelter structure 10 is designed to serve as protection against bad weather and enhance security. It forms covered walkways accessible by lift and on foot. It has windows and is equipped with heating lighting, a generator and 380 V outlets.

  • the four containers making up the shelter structure 10 can be assembled and joined together by providing vertical runners allowing assembly and disassembly of the assembly and will comprise fork passages 15 in order to be able to move the assembly by means of a forklift truck. .
  • the support structure 11 metal is essential because it allows the positioning and immobilization of containers 1, 2 with their floor to height of man, as well as access to the four hollow elements 5 lower to receive the twist locks 7.
  • This structure can be adapted to the gantries used to board and unload the containers.
  • the second platform consists of a rear platform 16 for container 1 of twenty feet and a platform before 17 for container 2 of forty feet.
  • This second platform is in two parts separated by a space allowing the handling equipment to access the rear platform.
  • the two platforms are fixed at their two ends on vertical elements 18 having a determined upper part to immobilize the container 1, 2 resting on this platform and openings 19, 19 'corresponding to cuts 20 of the shelter structure 10 allowing the
