Description

Domaine techniqueTechnical area

The invention relates to a versatile asymmetric luminaire made from an extruded profile cut to the desired size.

Etat de la techniqueState of the art

The luminaire according to the invention is intended to form a lighting ramp which can be used horizontally or vertically. The applicant has already developed a large number of power supply lighting ramps described in European patents no. EP0375623 , EP0516578 and EP0652398 . These lighting ramps may contain neon tubes of a certain length or a succession of bulbs arranged along two superimposed conductive strips having a succession of pairs of electrical contacts. to hold the bulbs. The lighting ramp or luminaire can be made from a profile preferably up to six meters in length and cut as needed. The conductive strips carrying the bulbs will advantageously be slid into rails extending over the entire length of the profile and forming part of it. In the patents mentioned above, the lighting produced by the neon tubes or by the succession of bulbs is a lighting perpendicular to the opening of the luminaire, that is to say that the light beam coming out of the luminaire is symmetrical in relation to this one. However, there are luminaires on the market made from an extruded profile for directing an asymmetric light beam by means of reflectors judiciously arranged in the luminaire frame. These types of luminaire, however, do not give very satisfactory results on the understanding that they do not allow the light beam to be concentrated where it is desired. On the other hand, they are of relatively complicated design, and require additional parts to arrange the reflectors adequately.

Un exemple de ce type de luminaire est décrit dans le brevet US 5,032,958 .An example of this type of luminaire is described in the patent US 5,032,958 .

The patent application published under the number JP 2000-348507 discloses another type of luminaire projecting an asymmetric light beam in which a parabolic reflector, formed in one piece, is disposed within a substantially parallelepiped frame. However, the assembly of such a luminaire is delicate, not only from the point of view of mounting the reflector in the frame, but also for the establishment of illuminating elements after mounting the reflector.

Divulgation de l'inventionDisclosure of the invention

The object of the present invention is to provide a luminaire made from an extruded profile which is of a simple design and manufacture and which does not necessarily require the addition and positioning of additional reflector. Advantageously, elements According to the invention, reflectors will be made from the walls of the extruded structure.

The lighting ramp or the luminaire is made from an extruded profile cut to the size desired by the user and comprises an outer envelope having a predefined interior volume communicating with the outside by means of an opening and in which is housed at least one reflector defining, in section, at least a portion of an ellipse or a parabola placed asymmetrically in the interior volume. The luminaire according to the invention is characterized in that the reflector is defined by at least two inner walls formed directly with the outer casing during the extrusion of the profile. In addition, these inner walls are disjoint in the region of the top of the ellipse or parabola to make accessible fixing means for receiving one or more lighting elements.

Preferably, the ellipse or parabola may have a major axis forming an angle of approximately thirty to sixty degrees by relative to the plane of opening of the envelope, more preferably of approximately forty-five degrees.

The invention also relates to the profile for the embodiment of luminaire with its light element fixing rail placed above the top of the ellipse or parabola, the profile can be extinguished in natural or in color.

According to a preferred embodiment, the fixing means of the lighting element or elements consist of a longitudinal rail placed near the bottom of the envelope, above the top of the ellipse or parabola.

The lighting elements may comprise a power strip formed of two insulated flat conductors feeding a succession of electrical contacts supporting bulbs fixed on the strip, the latter being slid into the longitudinal rail.

The lighting elements may comprise at least one fluorescent tube held at its ends by sockets whose supports are slid into the longitudinal rail.

The inner walls may have at the bottom of the casing longitudinal grooves adapted to receive a reflector whose configuration is arranged to form and close the top of the ellipse or parabola.

The reflector may have along its entire length a succession of perforations intended to receive and be traversed by electrical contacts of the supply band of the bulbs.

The inner walls opening towards the outside, on the side of the envelope opposite the bottom, may have longitudinal grooves adapted to receive a filter, a grid or an acrylic glass closing the envelope.

The envelope of the profile may be of parallelepipedal shape and have on its lateral faces grooves for receiving luminaire fixing elements on a wall, a ceiling or in a recessed structure.

Finalement, les ampoules fixées sur la bande conductrice pourront être des ampoules navettes à incandescence, des ampoules XENON ou des LED.Finally, the bulbs fixed on the conductive strip may be incandescent light bulbs, XENON bulbs or LEDs.

The four lateral faces 2, 3, 4 and 5 of the profile 1 are in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped which can be closed at its ends by a plate 9 as shown in FIG. Fig. 1 by means of the end screws 10. The end screws are introduced into housings 11 extending over the entire length of the profile 1.

The grooves 6, 7 and 8 will fix or maintain the profile against a wall, ceiling or inside a structure as shown in the fig.3 . An opening 12 is provided on a good part of the lower face 5, so as to release a large part of said face 5 and allow the light beam generated from the interior volume of the luminaire envelope to exit the structure. At the location of the opening 12, the luminaire will have grooves 13 and 14 for sliding a filter, a grid or an acrylic glass 15 (FIG. Fig. 2 and 3 ). The opening 12 is adjacent to two inner walls 16 and 17 extending in the interior volume of the envelope and defining in section a portion of ellipse or parabola. The inner walls 16 and 17 are disjoint in the region of the top of the ellipse or parabola and preferably have, in this region, grooves 18, 19 for receiving a reflector 20, of rounded shape, intended to close the top of the ellipse or the parable. As shown in the figures of the drawing, the reflector 20 forms with the walls 16 and 17 of the profile an ellipse or a parabola which will open towards the opening 12 on the lower face 5 of the luminaire 1.

It is obvious to those skilled in the art that according to the intended use of the luminaire, the axis of the ellipse or parabola may vary within a range of thirty to sixty degrees from the horizontal or with respect to the plane of the opening of the profile 1.

1 il pourra être fermé à ses extrémités par des plaques 9 au moyen des vis 10.The extruded section 1 is preferably made of metal, for example aluminum and can be extruded and eloxed natural or in color, or in white. It will be in the form of an elongated structure of up to six meters length determined by transport requirements and can be cut by the user to the desired dimensions. As visible on the Fig. 1 it can be closed at its ends by plates 9 by means of screws 10.

Alternativement, le profilé 1 pourra être fixé au mur au moyen d'un support non représenté fixé au mur 30 et fixé par exemple dans la rainure 7.In the Fig. 2 , the luminaire is applied against a wall 30, so as to overcome a mirror 31 shown in FIG. Fig. 2 . The profile can be slid into a not shown rail previously fixed against the wall 30, if this is possible. Alternatively, the profile 1 can be fixed to the wall by means of a not shown support fixed to the wall 30 and fixed for example in the groove 7.

An example of attachment of the profile 1 is shown in the Fig. 3 , where fixing lugs 32 each in the form of an L are previously fixed against the luminaire by means of the screws 33 and nuts 34. The supports 32 rest on the inner part of a false ceiling 35 after that an opening was made in the false ceiling and that the luminaire was introduced in the vertical direction to then undergo a rotation of ninety degrees within the opening and take the position represented in the fig.3 .

The reflector 20 will have a length substantially equal to the length of the profile and will be introduced into the grooves 18 and 19 placed at the vertices of the inner walls 16 and 17 of the profile. As represented in the Fig. 2 , the profile 1 will be used in conjunction with one or more fluorescent tubes 22 held at their ends by sockets mounted on supports 23, themselves slid in a rail 24 extending inside the profile 1, above of the reflector 20. If several neons are used in the same profile, it is obvious that perforations to pass the supports 23 must be provided in the reflector 20.

In the execution mode of Fig. 3, 4 and 5 , the lighting elements for use in the section 1 are arranged on a power strip 25 formed of two insulated flat conductors by magnetizing a succession of electrical contacts 26 supporting bulbs 27 fixed on the strip, the whole being slipped in the longitudinal groove 24. In this case, the reflector 20 will have a succession of pairs of perforations 28 intended to receive the contacts 26 which are previously introduced from below onto the reflector 20, the supply strips 25 being applied against the underside of the reflector 20. The whole is then slid into the grooves 18, 19 of the inner walls 16 and 17 of the profile, the conductive strips being introduced into the groove 24 after the reflector 20 is rotated relative to the conductive strips 25. As soon as the conductive strips 25 with the contacts 26 have been slid with the reflector 20 into the grooves 18, 19 and 24, the lamps 27 can be put in place and they then will find below the reflector, so that the lamps are disposed on the major axis of the ellipse or parabola in a position adjacent to the reflector 20 corresponding substantially to the focus of the ellipse or parabola.

In the case represented in fig.2 where a luminaire of eighty watts is placed at a height of about two meters, the illumination obtained at a distance of sixty centimeters from the wall shall be from one hundred and sixty lux to ten centimeters from the reflector, one thousand eight hundred lux to fifty centimeters from the reflector ( corresponding position approximately at the head of a person standing), a thousand lux at one meter below the reflector and six hundred and thirty lux at one meter and fifty meters from the reflector. A person standing sixty centimeters away from the reflector will be perfectly illuminated. In the same way, always sixty centimeters from a mirror, we will have with a fluorescent fixture T5 of eighty watts at two thousand seven hundred degrees Kelvin, the luminaire being placed at twenty centimeters of the mirror and at about two meters above, a lighting from three hundred and sixty lux to ten centimeters from the luminaire, one thousand six hundred lux to fifty centimeters, one thousand two hundred lux to one meter and seven hundred and twenty lux to one meter and a half below the luminaire.

In the case where the luminaire is equipped with a fluorescent tube T5 of eighty watts, two thousand seven hundred degrees Kelvin, used to illuminate a wall, the luminaire being placed at about two meters forty height and away from the wall eighty centimeters, there will be against the wall a lighting of three hundred and twenty lux ten centimeters below the luminaire, eight hundred thirty lux to fifty centimeters below the luminaire, six hundred and eighty-five lux to one meter below the luminaire, four hundred and twenty lux to one hundred and fifty centimeters, and one hundred and eighty lux to two hundred centimeters. It is noted with the two examples mentioned above that the luminaire can be used either in direct lighting or in indirect lighting against a wall to obtain a brightness quite satisfactory with a lamp of only eighty watts. The walls 16 and 17 and the reflector make it possible to direct a light beam in an extremely efficient manner.

The luminaire will advantageously be made of natural anodized aluminum for wall-wiper lighting or direct lighting on a person for example in a bathroom.

As mentioned above, the lower wall 5 of the luminaire has notches 13 and 14 for mounting a filter, a grid and / or an acrylic glass closing the envelope of the luminaire. The bulbs used and fixed on the conductive terminal are incandescent shuttle bulbs, XENON bulbs or LEDs. Alternatively the luminaires can be equipped with neon tubes of any type.

Finally the lighting elements will be placed on the axis of the ellipse or parabola between a position very close to the top of the reflector and the focus of the ellipse or parabola.
