Definitions
- the invention relates to a specified in claim 1 method for adjusting a hearing aid and a specified in claim 8 hearing aid, in which hearing programs are selectable.
- Modern hearing aids usually have elaborate classification algorithms for automatic adaptation to environmental situations in order to ensure sufficient hearing comfort and good speech intelligibility at all times.
- a related method for adjusting a hearing aid to a current acoustic environment situation is specified.
- one of several hearing programs is offered to the hearing device wearer, the current acoustic environment situation being analyzed.
- learning hearing aids as in the patent US 2005 0129262 described, are known.
- hearing aid wearers often desire changes in the configuration of a hearing aid, for example also the sequence of the stored hearing programs. Investigations and observations of the applicant show that about half of all hearing aid wearers want a change in the program order. A change in the order of the program slots can nowadays only be made by the hearing care professional or the manufacturer. This is perceived by the hearing aid wearer as annoying.
- the object is achieved with the method of independent claim 1 and the hearing aid of independent claim 8.
- the learning algorithm can weight the determined time periods, wherein the program location of a longer selected hearing program comes to lie in front of the program location of a shorter selected hearing program. As a result, the useful life of a hearing program becomes a measure of the hearing aid wearer preference.
- the learning algorithm can take into account at least one sound quantity concerning an environment situation and / or at least one desired setting value of the hearing device.
- the advantage of this is the inclusion of additional characteristic variables.
- a selected hearing program can be displayed to a hearing aid wearer by means of a sound icon or a talking beep.
- the name of the selected hearing program on a remote control of the hearing aid are displayed.
- the hearing program of the first program slot can be selected automatically when the hearing device is switched on.
- the favorite program of a hearing aid wearer is immediately active when switching on the hearing aid.
- a hearing device is also specified in which hearing programs can be selected, wherein the program locations of the hearing programs have a predeterminable sequence.
- the hearing device comprises a measuring module, with which time periods within which hearing programs are selected, can be determined, a calculation module with a learning algorithm with which a new order of the program positions can be determined taking into account the determined periods, and a modification module with which the order of the program positions is changeable after a predetermined period of time according to the determined sequence.
- the computing module can weight the determined time periods such that the program location of a longer selected hearing program lies in front of the program location of a shorter selected hearing program.
- each selected hearing program can be displayed to a user by means of a distinguishable sound icon or a different talking beep by a hearing device handset. This makes the program selection clearly audible.
- the name of the selected hearing program can be displayed on a display of a remote control.
- the hearing program of the first program slot which is the favorite program a hearing aid wearer can be automatically selected.
- the hearing aid can be preconfigured in different hearing programs for different hearing losses during sales / shipping.
- the hearing device does not have to be specially adapted to the hearing of the hearing device wearer when selling or shipping.
- FIG. 1 shows a functional block diagram of a hearing aid according to the invention 1.
- the hearing aid 1 comprises an electro-acoustic transducer, for example, two microphones 5, and a handset 6 (speakers).
- the microphones 5 are connected to an input of a signal processing and transmission unit 8 whose transmission characteristic is adjustable via an analog / digital converter 7.
- the signal processing and transmission unit 8 is connected to the handset 6 via a digital / analog converter 9.
- a number of different signal processing parameter sets are selectable, each set belonging to a listening program.
- a program selection button 10 for selecting programs is connected to an input and output of the signal processing and transmission unit 8 and an input of a timing module 2 via a program selection module 11, in which among other things the order of the program slots is stored.
- An exit of the time measuring module 2 is connected to an input of the signal processing and transmission unit 8.
- a remote control 12 is connected to an input / output of the signal processing and transmission unit 8.
- the program slots of the hearing programs have, upon delivery of the hearing aid 1 or after being adjusted by a hearing aid acoustician, an order corresponding to the expected usage behavior of a hearing aid wearer.
- the most preferred listening program is in the first place and the expected least useful program in the last place.
- the real needs of the hearing aid wearer are generally different from these default settings. Only in operation, the user recognizes that other programs are more important and therefore need a place ahead to be easier and faster to select.
- the timing module 2 determines the time periods within which individual hearing programs are selected or selected.
- a computing module 3 in the signal processing and transmission unit 8 determines a new order of the program locations from these time periods with the aid of a learning algorithm. After a determinable period of time, this new sequence is transmitted to a modification module 4, which then changes the order of the program locations in the program selection module 11 accordingly. The new order is then made available to the hearing device user.
- the different programs are recognizable by distinguishable sound icons or talking beeps in the listener.
- the hearing aid 1 thus learns automatically over a defined period of time the preferred hearing program of his hearing aid wearer from the measured individual service life. For example, the first program slot is occupied by the most frequently used program, the second program slot by the second most frequently used, and so on.
- FIG. 2 is a method according to the invention in the form of a flow chart again.
- the method for setting a hearing device in which hearing programs HP1, HP2,... Are selectable, wherein the program positions of the hearing programs HP1, HP2,... Have a prescribable sequence starts with the selection 99 of a hearing program HP1.
- step 100 a period ZR1 within which the listening program HP1 remains selected is measured.
- step 101 a new order nRF of the program locations is determined with the aid of a learning algorithm including the determined time period ZR1. If a predefinable time period ZSP has expired, the order of the program locations is changed in step 102 according to the ascertained order nRF. If the time period ZSP has not yet expired or if another hearing program HP2 is selected in accordance with step 99, a continuous or new measurement of a time period takes place.
