Definitions

  • the invention relates to a rocker arm made of thin-walled steel sheet for pivotally hanging arrangement under a beam-like support of a valve train of an internal combustion engine, with inverted U-shaped cross-section, wherein at one end of its crossbar at one end an investment for a gas exchange valve and at the other end a roller is applied as a Nockenanlauf phenomenon or relates to the invention relates to a bar-like carrier with a number hanging thereon arranged rocker arm as mentioned above.
  • rocker arm is described in EP 1 1 19 689 B1, s.

  • This is also mounted pivotably suspended under a beam-like carrier of a valve train of an internal combustion engine.
  • the aforementioned rocker arm only has insufficient rigidity, especially in the area of its valve stem installation, but also over its entire course.
  • its manufacture and installation proves to be relatively complex, since, for example, a separate, transverse system part is provided for the valve stem at one end. For attachment of the plant part, the side walls must be provided with separate recesses.

However, it is also conceivable to have a plurality of longitudinally distributed recesses in the transverse bar or in the side walls, which lead to a mass reduction. If necessary, the person skilled in the art will be provided with suitable beading / stiffening ribs etc. for sufficient rigidity of the material
