Definitions

  • the present invention relates to channel separators used to isolate one channel from another or to protect a particular area and more particularly mobile devices for separating lanes to temporarily signal areas or sites to prevent all types of risks.
  • Lane separators are commonly used to channel flows of people or vehicles such as cars, trucks and two-wheelers and / or to protect people working near dangerous areas. There are many types of lane separators, fixed or mobile.
  • Fixed track separators are usually heavy and bulky. They are difficult to move and transport. In addition, these elements are not intended to be frequently transported, their structure is not designed so that the elements are stackable into each other, reducing the volume required for transport and storage.
  • Mobile track separators have the advantage of being generally easy to transport. In particular, the mass of these elements is such that a single person can move them. However, to ensure stability, these elements are often provided with a cavity adapted to receive a ballast.
  • These track separators are generally made of plastic, the ballast being made of water or sand.
  • ballast used when it is water, it may be subjected to an evaporation phenomenon, presenting a risk of instability of the channel separators.
  • the presence of the ballast cavity in the upper body makes the lane separator difficult to grasp to be moved.
  • inverted V-shaped channel separators with a double wall, which can be filled with water or sand through an orifice on the upper part, to ensure their stability.
  • These channel separators have many advantages, particularly with regard to their stability due to the closed ballast cavity.
  • these track separators are difficult to catch because of their shape and can not be stacked to reduce the volume required for transport and storage.
  • WO 00/23657 describes a device according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • FIG 1 including Figures 1a, 1b and 1c , illustrate these three examples of known mobile track separators.
  • the invention solves at least one of the problems discussed above.
  • the invention thus relates to a mobile and stackable device for channel separation, comprising the features of claim 1.
  • the mobile device for separation of lanes thus has the advantages of being stackable, which makes it possible to release gains in storage and transport volume as well as in handling time while incorporating a ballast lashing system whose ballasting capacity gives it a great stability on the ground while improving the strength of the device.
  • the horizontal section of the device is preferably substantially rectangular to optimize the ground surface of the device when it is used and to optimize the volume required for transport and storage of several similar devices, and the device further comprises a first hexahedral portion formed on the lower part of the body to ensure the stability of the device and reduce the risk of dropping a person walking nearby and the risk of damaging the lower part of the device.
  • the device further comprises a second hexahedral portion formed on the upper part of the body.
  • a recess is made substantially in the center of the hexahedral portion formed on the upper part of the body to create a handle for transport and handling.
  • the handle built into the separator facilitates the transportation tasks of the device to reduce loading times, moving and unloading, even when multiple devices are nested to each other.
  • the device further comprises at least one reentrant portion formed in the outer wall, the reentrant portion having an oblong shape and being formed vertically in the conical portion of the body.
  • a re-entrant shape makes it possible to stiffen the structure of the device and thus to increase its resistance to wear and external stresses.
  • the device also advantageously comprises reentrant shapes adapted to receive a retro-reflective film to allow a better visualization of the device.
  • the device further comprises an orifice formed in the upper part of the body, the orifice being adapted to fill and drain the second cavity of the liquid or powdered ballast.
  • the advantage of positioning the orifice in the upper part of the device lies mainly in the fact that it is not necessary to use a cap that can be easily lost and whose seal must be perfect.
  • the position of the orifice facilitates the filling and emptying operations and thus reduce the durations.
  • the device is advantageously made of plastic, preferably molded in one piece and having good characteristics of resistance to wear, deformation and shocks.
  • the device is preferably manufactured by rotational molding or gas injection molding.
  • the device according to the invention comprises a double-walled body having a truncated conical shape, the horizontal section of which is preferably substantially rectangular.
  • the lower central portion comprises a first open cavity of substantially equivalent shape to the outer upper form of the device, for stacking several elements together.
  • the double wall of the body forms a second cavity, closed, adapted to receive a ballast such as water, sand or other powdery material.
  • the ballast is introduced into the second cavity through an orifice formed in the upper part of the body. This port is also used to remove or drain the ballast during transportation and / or storage of this device.
  • the figure 2 illustrates an example of device 200 according to the invention.
  • the Figures 3a, 3b and 3c represent the front, top and side views of the device of the figure 2 , respectively.
  • the device 200 comprises a body formed of a double wall, that is to say an outer wall 205 and an inner wall 210.
  • the outer wall preferably has a truncated pyramid-shaped shape whose rectangular base forms the lower part of the device.
  • the lower and upper portions each comprise a hexahedral portion.
  • the lower hexahedral portion forms a support edge under the device to ensure its stability when it is set and a freeboard avoiding a person walking beside the device is unbalanced by placing his foot in support on the part of the latter or that the device is damaged.
  • the hexahedral top portion makes it possible to form a handle facilitating transport as described later.
  • Other conical shapes may be used to form the body of the device, particularly a regular pyramid shape or a conical shape having a circular base or Oval shape.
  • the shape of the inner wall, according to vertical sections connected to the longitudinal axis of the device and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the device, is substantially similar to that of the outer wall.
  • the inner wall thus forms a first cavity, open, in the central lower part, so that when the device 200 is placed on an identical device, these two devices snap into one another to be stacked.
  • a distance for example a distance of between two and seven centimeters, separates the two walls 205 and 210 to form a second cavity, closed, adapted to receive the ballast.
  • the device 200 comprises in its upper part an orifice 215 for filling the second cavity formed between the walls 205 and 210 with the ballast and drain it.
  • the orifice is preferably positioned in the hexahedral upper part, at one of the longitudinal ends of the device as indicated on the figure 2 , to minimize the effects of this orifice on the device stiffness 200.
  • the hexahedral top portion advantageously comprises a recess in its central portion to form a handle 220 facilitating the transport of the device 200. The size of the recess is such that it allows to pass part of the hand.
  • the device 200 further comprises protruding parts 225 and 240 at each longitudinal end to allow several devices 200 to be connected together in an articulated connection and thus make them integral to form a kind of barrier whose length is greater than that of the device 200.
  • the length of such a barrier is a multiple of the useful length of the device 200, that is to say the length between the axes of the elements 235 and 245.
  • the projecting portion 225 is positioned in the lower part of the device, at the lower level of the hexahedral portion or slightly higher.
  • a connecting element 235 cylindrical or frustoconical (whose conicity is oriented upwards), is arranged on the upper part of the projecting part 225.
  • the projecting part 225 comprises a cavity 230 whose shape is substantially identical to that of the cylinder or the cone of revolution 235 and whose size is slightly greater so that the cylinder or the cone of revolution 235 can be easily introduced into the cavity 230 of another device identical to the device 200.
  • the connecting element 235 and the cavity 230 have the same axis.
  • the projecting portion 240 is disposed in the upper part of the device 200, at the other longitudinal end relative to the projecting part 225.
  • the projecting part is positioned in such a way that its upper part is at lower level of the upper hexahedral part, as shown.
  • the lower portion of the projecting portion 240 is in alignment with the upper portion of the projecting portion 225.
  • the projecting portion 240 includes a cavity 245 in its lower portion.
  • the shape and size of the cavity 245 are preferably identical to those of the cavity 230.
  • the projecting portion 240 advantageously comprises a lug 250 on its upper part.
  • the lug 250 preferably has a spherical shape whose diameter is slightly less than that of the opening of the cavity 245 so that when two devices 200 are stacked one on the other, the lug 250 of the one of the two devices 200 enters the cavity 245 of the other device 200.
  • the cooperation of the lug 250 with the cavity 245 of two devices 200 improves the maintenance of a device 200 on the other.
  • the device 200 also includes an inverted V-shaped opening 255, at its end including the projecting portion 240 and under the projecting portion 240 such that when a device 200 is stacked on an identical device, the lower projection 240 one of the devices 200 comes into contact with the upper projecting portion 240 of the other device 200.
  • the device comprises reentrant portions 260, or stiffeners, formed in the wall 205, preferably four, located on each side of the device along its longitudinal axis.
  • the reentrant portions 260 are preferably oblong and formed vertically in the conical portion of the body. The depth of these reentrant portions 260 is advantageously between one and two centimeters.
  • the reentrant parts 206 make it possible to stiffen the device 200.
  • reentrant portions 265 are also formed in the upper hexahedral portion.
  • the reentrant portions 265 are adapted to receive retro-reflective elements (not shown), for example reflex reflectors, which are thus protected from external aggressions such as friction that can lead to tearing of these elements.
  • the reentrant portions 265 are preferably of rectangular shape and their depth is advantageously between one half and one centimeter.
  • re-entrant portions 260 may be used as a location for retroreflective films in addition to or in place of the reentrant portions 265.
  • angles of the conical and hexahedral parts of the body are here slightly rounded to improve the rigidity of the assembly.
  • the Figures 4a and 4b illustrate the cuts of the device 200 according to the marks AA and BB, respectively.
  • the shape of the open inner cavity 400 is similar to the outer shape of the device 200 such that multiple devices 200 may be stacked on each other.
  • the Figures 4a and 4b also highlight the internal cavity 405, formed between the outer wall 205 and the inner wall 210, used to receive a liquid or powdered ballast through the orifice 215.
  • the figure 5 illustrates the manner in which two devices 200-1 and 200-2 are assembled in an articulated connection formed by the projecting portions 240-1 and 225-2.
  • the junction of the elements 200-1 and 200-2 is established by fitting the connecting element 235-2 of the device 200-2 in the cavity 245-1 of the device 200-1.
  • the engagement of the connecting element 235-2 in the cavity 245-1 forms an articulated connection allowing a circular movement of the elements 200-1 and 200-2 relative to each other along the axis of the connecting element 235-2.
  • the maximum rotation angle is determined by the dimensioning of the device 200.
  • the position of the device 200-2 may vary by about 70 ° with respect to the device 200-1 as shown in FIG. figure 5b which represents a view from above of the assembly of the devices 200-1 and 200-2.
  • the figure 6 including Figures 6a, 6b and 6c illustrates the stacking of several devices 200 to optimize the volume required for storage and / or transport.
  • the figure 6b represents a front view of the stack of two devices 200 while Figure 2a is a side view of the same stack.
  • the stacking of two devices 200-1 and 200-2 is done by superimposing them in the same direction, that is to say vertically aligning the projecting parts 225-1 and 225-2 as well as the projecting parts 240 -1 and 240-2.
  • the protruding portion 225-2 comes into contact with the projecting portion 225-1, i.e., the connecting element 235-1 is located in the cavity 230-2, and the projecting portion 240-2 comes into contact with the projecting portion 240-1, that is to say that the stud 250-1 is in the cavity 245-2.
  • the contact established between the projecting parts 225-1 and 225-2, between the projections 240-1 and 240-2 as well as the cooperation of the connecting element 235-1 and the lug 250-1 with the cavities 230-2 and 245-2, respectively, provide good stability of stacking devices.
