Definitions
- the invention relates to a heat exchanger with combustion chamber for a fuel-fired heater.
- the exhaust gases of a burner are cooled in a heat exchanger and transfer the heat transferred to a water cycle for service water or space heating.
- Such heat exchangers are usually cast iron, finned tube or fin tube heat exchangers.
- heat exchangers in which the heating water flows through assembled metal plates. From the DE 10 2005 033 050 A1 a heat exchanger with combustion chamber for a fuel-fired heater is known in which two metal plates form water channels and the hot exhaust gases of the burner flow through several gaps between the parallel water channels.
- the present invention has for its object to provide a heat exchanger with combustion chamber for a fuel-fired heater, which is characterized by a simple, but efficient structure.
- the object of the invention according to the features of claim 1 is achieved in that from two plates, a water channel is formed and two water channels are arranged such that they form both the combustion chamber and a Schugaskanal combined. While the water channels are arranged on the side of the combustion chamber relatively far apart, so that a burner can be accommodated, the distance of the water channels to the other side tapers, so that on the side facing away from the combustion chamber only a thin heating gas channel forms a narrow channel.
- parts of the plates may be at least partially ribbed.
- a ribbing increases the heat transfer surface area and also gives the component more rigidity.
- the plates are bent in such a half-shell-like manner that the water channels adjacent to one another form a channel. It when the two water channels, which are formed by the plates are constructed mirror images, so that in each case for a heat exchanger two identical outer plates and two identical inner plates can be used is particularly advantageous.
- both two plates can be welded as a water channel, as well as two water channels to the heat exchanger with combustion chamber. It is optionally possible to connect all 4 plates together in one welding process.
- the heat exchanger is connected to a heater such that the return of the heater to the side of the Schugaskanals and the flow are connected to the side of the combustion chamber.
- FIG. 1 shows a heat exchanger 1, which consists of plates 3. How out FIG. 2 it can be seen, two plates 3 each form a water channel 6. Two water channels 6 are so assembled into a heat exchanger 1 that on one side the plates 3 protrude far apart and thus form a combustion chamber 2. On the side facing away from the combustion chamber 2 side, the distance between the two water channels 6 tapers and form a Walkergaskanal 4. This Bankgaskanal 4 tapers again from the side of the combustion chamber 2 to the combustion chamber 2 side facing away. On the side of the Russellgaskanals 4 is located in an outer plate 3 of a water channel 6, a return inlet 7. This is connected during installation of the heat exchanger 1 in a heater with the return.
- FIG. 3 shows the frontal view of the previously described heat exchanger 1. Here, it can be seen that in the region of the combustion chamber 2 of the heat exchanger 1, the plates 3 have a ribbing.
- the plates 3 are bent like a half shell, so that the two water channels 6 can be joined together to form a channel for the heating gases. At the edge on which the plates 3 abut each other, they are connected by a weld 5.
- an inner plate 3 and an outer plate 2 can first be connected to one another so that they form a water channel 6. Two such water channels 6 can then be assembled and connected so that they form an exhaust-carrying channel.
- the heat exchanger 1 with combustion chamber 2 is preferably installed in a fuel-fired heater such that the combustion chamber 2 above and the heating gas 4 are located below.
- a fuel-operated burner is used in the opening of the combustion chamber 2.
- an exhaust discharge is connected at the lower end of the Schuchkanals 4 .
- a condensate drain in this area, which by suitable measures, for. B a siphon, ensures that no exhaust gas leak can.
- the return port 7 of the heat exchanger 1 is connected to the return line of the heater, the flow connection 8 with the flow of the heater.
- a fuel in the combustion chamber 2 of the heat exchanger 1 is burned by means of a burner. Radiant heat is absorbed by the inner plates 3 of the water channels 6.
- the hot exhaust gases of the burner flow down through the combustion chamber 2 and then flow into the heating gas channel 4.
- the exhaust gases heat to the water channels 6, which are flowed through from bottom to top, ie in countercurrent from. This ensures that the exhaust gases - at least theoretically - can be cooled down to the return temperature. This allows the dew point of the exhaust to fall below, whereby condensation heat can be obtained.
- Both water channels 6 can be flowed through from bottom to top; However, it is also possible to flow through a water channel 6 from bottom to top and the other from top to bottom, in the latter case, the efficiency of the heat exchanger 1 is lower.
- the outer and inner plate 3 of a water channel 6 are coordinated so that they form a flow-optimized water channel 6, in which it comes as possible to no dead water areas, otherwise it could come here to blistering, which can lead to material damage.
- a corresponding ribbing not only increases the heat transfer, but also ensures the necessary rigidity of the heat exchanger. 1
- the wall in which the flow connection 8 is located and the wall opposite this wall referred to As sidewalls, the wall in which the flow connection 8 is located and the wall opposite this wall referred to. Although it is possible in principle not to penetrate the side walls of water, but cooled side walls lead to an increase in efficiency and a simultaneous reduction of radiation losses.
- the design described here, in which half-shell-like plates are assembled, also has the advantage that few components are necessary.
- the heating gas channel does not necessarily have to be arranged centrally. It is conceivable that only one water channel is half-shell-shaped, while the other water channel represents only a flat plate. It is also conceivable that the heating gas channel is not arranged perpendicular to the burner, but rather at an angle thereto. This has the advantage that no radiation can escape through the heating gas channel.

Abstract
