Definitions
- the invention relates to an infusion bag made of a nonwoven fabric comprising fibers and / or filaments of at least one filter material, wherein the fabric identifies a heat-sealable surface formed by heat-sealable fibers and / or filaments of at least one heat-sealable material.
- the invention further relates to uses of an infusion bag according to the invention.
- the infill bag comprising a spunbonded core / sheath fiber having a refractory core component and a low melting sheath component.
- the refractory core component consists of a polyester, especially polyethylene terephthalate, the low melting sheath component of polypropylene or polyethylene.
- the low melting sheath component is responsible for the heat sealability of the material.
- infusion bags of the type mentioned above are currently being offered, which consist of two-ply textile fabrics.
- a layer is responsible for the filter properties, such as particle retention, water permeability and permeability to the extracted active ingredients and mechanical strength.
- the second layer serves to heat-seal the textile fabric and consists of fibers of thermoplastic polymers, in particular of polyethylene and polypropylene.
- the invention is based on the object to further develop a brewing bag of the type mentioned above so that it has very good filter properties, is simple and inexpensive to produce and also looks very appealing both visually and in use.
- the fabric comprises a heat sealable surface formed by heat sealable fibers and / or filaments of at least one heat sealable material in that the fibers and / or filaments of the filter material and the fibers and / or filaments of the heat sealable material in the fabric are in the form of a mixture, the proportion of fibers and / or filaments of the heat sealable material being across the cross section increases towards the heat-sealable surface of the fabric towards the manner of a gradient.
- the infusion bag according to the invention is thereby simple and inexpensive to manufacture.
- the heat-sealable fibers and / or filaments present on a surface of the textile fabric with a high proportion are completely sufficient for producing a secure welding of the material, for example in the production of pouches.
- the fibers and / or filaments of filter material which are present in particular on the opposite surface of the sealing surface of the fabric with a high proportion, which required for a good filtering effect uniformity, tightness and strength of the material.
- the single-layer structure in which preferably only identical raw materials are used (eg PET and CoPET), achieves a higher transparency of the unitary fabric.
- the proportion of heat-sealable components should increase in the manner of a gradient towards the sealing surface of the textile fabric. This means that the changes in concentration over the layer thickness take place in such a way that a phase boundary can not be detected in any cross-sectional area parallel to the surface of the textile fabric.
- the concentration change takes place continuously over the layer thickness.
- the concentration of the heat-sealable component preferably changes linearly in the application of infusion bags, i. it increases from a minimum concentration value ( ⁇ 0%) to a maximum concentration ( ⁇ 100%). Any other than a linear concentration change is possible via the distribution and the ratio of both components in the forming spinning tool.
- the surface of the textile fabric is to be understood as meaning the surface of the textile fabric which adjoins this collection tape when the fibers or filaments are deposited on a collection tape or the surface of the textile fabric opposite this surface.
- the materials for the fibers and / or filaments of a heat-sealable material preferably comprise all thermoplastic polymers which are sufficiently temperature and media stable for use as infusion bags.
- the fibers or filaments of a heat sealable material comprise bicomponent fiber and / or filaments having a high and a low melting component.
- core / sheath fibers and / or filaments the hermetic component forming the sheath and the low-melting component the sheath in a manner known per se.
- the present invention is by no means core / sheath fibers or filaments limited. In principle, other types of bicofas, such as side-by-side fibers, are suitable.
- bicomponent fibers and / or filaments of co-polyethylene terephthalate / polyethylene terephthalate (CoPET / PET) or polybutylene terephthalet / polyethylene terephthalate (PBT / PET) are used.
- the melting points of CoPET and PBT are around 180 to 225 ° C, those of PET at 235 - 265 ° C. These fibers thus have the required temperature and media resistance.
- the difference in the melting points of the core and the sheath components is large enough to ensure a welding of the fiber sheaths without affecting the core component.
- the welding of the material to infusion bags can be done in a conventional manner by applying thermal energy or by ultrasonic welding.
- Bicomponent fibers or filaments of CoPET / PET per se are known. They are commonly used as binder fibers / filaments for a variety of applications. They are characterized not only by an extraordinary temperature stability, but also by a very high rigidity. It has been found that this high rigidity of the material leads to a significantly improved visual impression of a infusion bag made of it.
- An infusion bag according to the invention is characterized by a very good pop-up function. This means that the infusion bag is dimensionally stable and, even with mechanical deformations, eg in the packaging, resumes its original shape after removal. Due to the fact that these fibers or filaments are admixed only in the manner of a gradient, the textile fabric still remains flexible enough, despite the high rigidity of this fiber type, to be easily processed further.
- bicomponent fibers and / or filaments of PET / polyethylene and / or PET / polypropylene may also be used.
- a suitable filter material there is only the restriction that it must be sufficiently temperature and media stable.
- fibers and / or filaments of PET are used as filter material, in particular in combination with bicomponent fibers of CoPET / PET as the heat sealable material, since both components are similar in chemical composition, make a good connection with each other and ensure good dimensional stability due to their rigidity .
- the infusion bag according to the invention is not limited to this combination of raw materials. In principle, other spinnable raw materials can be used, which have a sufficiently high temperature and media resistance. The difference in melting points of filter and heat sealable material must be large enough to do the binding function. In the case of applications in the food sector, only those raw materials that comply with food law regulations are suitable.
- An infusion bag according to the invention is by no means limited to the use of only one filter material or only one heat-sealable material. It is also possible to use fiber or filament mixtures in each case.
- the infusion bag according to the invention is preferably made of a spunbonded, in which the risk of detachment of individual fibers, as it For example, when using staple fibers may be the case, only small.
- the weight per unit area of the nonwoven fabric used for the infusion bag according to the invention is preferably between 14 and 40 g / m 2 , in particular between 14 and 18 g / m 2 in tea bag applications. At lower basis weights, the nonwoven layer becomes too uneven, at higher basis weights the transparency of the material is compromised.
- the thickness of the nonwoven material used is preferably between 0.05 mm and 0.3 mm, in particular between 0.05 and 0.11 mm in teabag applications. If the thickness is too small, the stiffness of the material will decrease too much. The visual impression of an infusion bag made of this material is impaired. If the thicknesses are too large, on the other hand, the processability of the material deteriorates.
- the fiber or filament thickness of a nonwoven material used for an infusion bag according to the invention is preferably between 1.4 dtex and 2 dtex. If the filament or fiber thicknesses are too low, the material becomes so dense that the exchange of liquid or active substance is impaired. Too large fiber thicknesses may lead to failure of the drug involved, come.
- the penetration rate should preferably be less than 3 percent.
- the penetration rate of the nonwoven fabric is understood to mean the passage or precipitation of certain tea particle grain fractions through the nonwoven fabric structure.
- a low penetration rate means that the tea particles / ingredients are largely retained in the spout bag.
- the per-hole throughput is preferably between 0.4 and 0.7 g per hole and minute. This range of per hole throughputs has been found to be advantageous in terms of resulting web properties, penetration rates, economy and processability.
- a possible process for producing nonwoven fabrics with concentration gradients, in particular nonwovens of mono- and bicomponent filaments, in which the relative proportion of the mono- and bicomponent filaments varies in the manner of a gradient over the nonwoven cross-section is, for example, in US Pat EP 0 822 284 B1 described, done.
- Such a method can also be used for producing an infusion bag according to the invention.
- An infusion bag according to the invention is characterized by high strength and media resistance. At the same time, it has a high permeability for the liquids used for the infusion as well as for the substances extracted during the infusion, while undesired fine and very fine particles are reliably retained in the bag.
- the material is highly transparent and therefore very suitable, in particular for those applications in which, in addition to the good infusion properties, the optical appearance is additionally important, for example in the field of tea bags.
- An infusion bag according to the invention is therefore preferably used as a tea bag.
- the very good visual impression is further enhanced when using CoPET / PET fibers and / or filaments by the high pop-up capacity of the bag.
- nonwoven fabric according to the invention is the use as a coffee pod.
- a less transparent material is usually preferred by the end users, which can be realized in a simple manner, for example, by the use of gravure rolls in calendering the nonwoven fabric.
- the infusion bag according to the invention can generally be used as a container for active substances, both for hot and cold applications.
- the use is generally conceivable in the hot drinks or soft drinks sector.
- the use for example for soups are also conceivable.
- infusion bags according to the invention can be used.
- the infusion bag according to the invention is by no means limited to the applications described.

Abstract
