- a sound-transmitting coupling substance for example, gels known from the prior art can be used.
- a dispenser is advantageously arranged, which can receive the sound-transmitting coupling substance and deliver it to the outside of the oral cavity. It offers particular advantages if the dispenser cooperates operationally with the sound generator so that the dispenser then dispenses the sound-transmitting coupling substance when sound generation is provided by the sound generator.
- a fragrance is supplied on the outside of the oral cavity during the application of the ultrasound.
- the tooth cleaning device according to the invention preferably has a fragrance reservoir and an application device for the fragrance.
- a motor with an imbalance can be used to generate the sound, preferably in the field of audible sound.
- This offers the advantage of producing the sound can be done inexpensively with a very simple means.
- a piezoelectric or a magnetostrictive vibration transmitter can be used to generate the sound, preferably in the ultrasound range, in which case there is the advantage that the piezoelectric or the magnetostrictive vibration transducer saves space.
- the cleaning can z. B. be provided with a single frequency. Additional advantages for optimum cleaning performance can be achieved if a frequency range is passed through or several fixed frequencies are used sequentially or in parallel. If a sound generation with different, z. B. continuously changing frequencies takes place, dirt can be solved in this way particularly reliable and effective.
- the liquid in the vicinity of the teeth preferably contains an abrasive additive.
- an abrasive additive z. B. at least one grinding or cleaning substance used, as it is known as a component of toothpaste.
