Description

The invention relates to the field of mechanics and watchmaking. It relates more particularly to a mechanical golf counter that can be integrated into a mechanical watch.

De tels dispositifs sont décrits dans les documents EP 1 099 459 , DE 3 816 713 et WO 00/54116 .Such golf counters are already disclosed, in particular by patent applications GB 309 613 and GB 310 401 . These documents describe mechanical golf counters, simultaneously displaying the score of all the holes, but not allowing, because of their design, the display of the time. At the same time, there are watches with mechanical golf counters to display the current hole score and the total score. This type of watch is certainly very useful to the golfer; However, the information regarding the number of hits made for a hole is lost from the next hole. The player can not return to the number of shots made for a given hole, and analyze its course hole after hole. Such devices are described in the documents EP 1 099 459 , DE 3 816 713 and WO 00/54116 .

The present invention makes it possible to overcome these drawbacks by proposing a mechanical golf counter equipped with a device for counting and memorizing the score of each hole, and a device for displaying the score of a selected hole.

More specifically, the invention relates to a mechanical golf counter comprising a box in which is mounted a golf counter mechanism comprising:
  • a plurality of first counting means of a score associated with a plurality of holes, and capable of providing an indication of the score of each hole, and
  • a plurality of second means able to memorize this indication for each hole, and cooperating with said first means,
the golf counter mechanism being characterized in that it further comprises:
  • third means adapted to modify the indication of the score of a selected hole, these third means cooperating with the first means,
  • fourth means able to read the score of the selected hole, these fourth means cooperating with the first means,
  • fifth means capable of displaying the score of the selected hole, these fifth means cooperating with the fourth means,
the golf meter mechanism being further characterized in that the first means are movably mounted within the box so that one any of them can occupy a determined position of incrementation / reading of the score, in which it is selected to cooperate with the third and fourth means.

Thanks to the fact that the counting means of the score of each hole are movably mounted inside the box, and that each of them can be brought into a position of modification, reading and display of its score, the dial of the golf meter according to the invention is not unnecessarily occupied by the display of the score of each hole, and in this way, it can be used for the display of the time. The golf meter according to the invention can thus be easily integrated into a watch. Other features and advantages of the present invention will emerge more clearly from the detailed description which follows of an example of embodiment of a watch according to the invention, this example being given purely by way of illustration and not limiting only, in conjunction with the attached drawings in which:
  • the figure 1 is a top view of the golf meter according to the invention,
  • the figure 2 , is a sectional view of the golf meter according to the invention,
  • the figure 3 is a top view of the golf counter mechanism equipping the golf meter according to the invention, and
  • the Figures 4 and 5 are sectional views according to 9h-3h and 2h-8h of this mechanism.

In the embodiment illustrated in FIG. figure 2 , the plate 38 is integral with the box 10. In a variant, the plate 38 could be integral with the movement 14, itself fixedly mounted in the box 10. The mechanism 12 is surmounted by the dial 16 integral with the box 10. A central axis 40 associated with the movement 14 and carrying the needles 20, 22 and 24 passes through the mechanism 12 and the dial 16.

The golf counter mechanism 12 is shown in more detail on the figures 3 , 4 and 5 . It comprises the fixed plate 38 of axis AA, and a plate 42 mounted to rotate about the axis AA, on the fixed plate 38. For this purpose, the fixed plate 38 is provided with a circular housing 44 located on its upper face. Furthermore, the movable plate 42 is formed of a lower plate 46 and an upper plate 48, both recessed in the center. The upper plate 48, located directly under the dial 16, bears the numbering of the holes, visible through the window 26. It is, moreover, provided with a plurality of notches 49, distributed at its inner periphery, the function of which will appear. later. The lower plate 46 is provided with an edge toothing 50 located on its underside. The lower and upper trays 46 and 48 are held integral with each other by a plurality of shafts 52 distributed in a circle and fixed by a first end to the lower plate 46, and by a second end to the upper plate 48. The lower plate 46 is disposed in the housing 44, so that the plate 42 is positioned radially while being guided in its rotational movement. The plate 42 is controlled in rotation by a control member 54 located at 3 o'clock and formed of a rod 56 on which is mounted the ring gear 32 and a pinion 58. The control member 54 is arranged in the box 10 so that the gear 58 meshes with the toothing 500 in the pulled position, and freely rotates in the pushed position. The rod 56 extends beyond the pinion 58 and further comprises a circular protrusion 59 whose function will be explained later.

The trees 52, 18 in number, each correspond to a hole in the golf course and to a number on the numbering of the upper plate 48. In a simplified variant of this embodiment, it could be limited to 9 trees, for one 9 hole course. On each shaft 52 is mounted a mobile 60 formed, from the lower plate 46 to the upper plate 48, a star with ten teeth 62, a core 64 and a snail 66, the various elements being superposed and in solidarity with each other. Within the same mobile 60, the star 62, the core 64 and the snail 66 are oriented relatively so that the tip of the heart 64 is aligned with a tooth of the star 62 and the portion of the snail 66 having the largest radius. Each snail 66 is also provided with a shim 68 secured to its underside. or its upper face, so that it extends respectively in a higher or lower level. Two adjacent snails 66 extend in two different levels, which brings the movable 60 closer without the snails 66, which is the widest part of the mobile 60, collide.

A ring 70 is interposed, at the periphery of the counter mechanism 12, between the stars 62 and the snails 66, in the plane of the cores 64. It is provided with eighteen asymmetrical teeth 72 intended to cooperate with the lever 37 of delivery. to zero, as it will appear later. It comprises, directed towards the hearts 64, eighteen protrusions 74 forming hammers for orienting the mobiles 60 for resetting the score of each hole. Furthermore, it is provided with 18 jumper 76 integral with its lower face, each jumper 76 cooperating with a star 62 to position it. When the plate 42 is rotated, the ring 70 is itself rotated due to the friction forces exerted by the eighteen stars on the eighteen jumpers.

The mobile 60 located at 3 o'clock is the mobile corresponding to the selected hole. In this position, the mobile 60 can be actuated to allow the incrementation and reading of the score of the selected hole. We will speak in the rest of the text, position incrementation / reading. In order to increment the score, two mobiles 80 and 82, respectively of incrementation and decrementation, each provided with two spouts, respectively 80a, 80b and 82a, 82b, and a finger, respectively 80c and 82c, are mounted in the fixed plate 38, in the vicinity of the star 62 in the incrementing / reading position, on either side of the diameter 9 hours - 3 hours. The spouts 80a, 80b, 82a, and 82b are located in the plane of the star 62, while the fingers 80c and 82c extend in the plane of the fixed plate 38. The mobiles 80 and 82 are actuated by two levers , respectively 84 and 86, pivotally mounted in the fixed plate 38. These levers 84 and 86 extend in the plane of the fixed plate 38 so as to cooperate respectively with the fingers 80c and 82c. They are actuated respectively by the pushers 34 and 36. The pushers 34, 36, the levers 84, 86, and the mobiles 80, 82 form with the stars 62 an incrementing / decrementing device 88 of the score of the selected hole.

The golf counter mechanism 12 further comprises a feeler 90 bearing on the snail 66 in the incrementing / reading position. Its end extends over the lower and upper levels of the snails 66 so as to come into contact with each other indifferently. It has, in addition, a spout 91 extending in the plane of the upper plate 48 and intended to cooperate with the notches 49 to block the movable plate 42, as it will appear later. The feeler 90 is secured to a rake 92 pivotally mounted about an axis 94 in the fixed plate 38, and having a first portion 93 extending in the plane of the plate 38 and a second portion 95 extending in the plane of the probe 90. The probe assembly 90 - rake 92 is subjected to the action of an unrepresented return spring tending to maintain the feeler 90 bearing on the snail 66 in incremental / read position. The rake 92 meshes with a pinion 96 belonging to a mobile 98 mounted in the fixed plate 38. The mobile 98 comprises, in addition to the pinion 96, a display disk 100 of the score of the selected hole located opposite the window 28. The probe 90 forms a reading device 102 of the score of the selected hole, while the rake 92 forms with the mobile 98 a display device 104 of this score.

A substantially triangular cam 106, extending in the plane of the fixed plate 38, is pivotally mounted thereon. It comprises a stop 108, located on a vertex of the triangle and extending axially towards the movement 14, and a rounded protuberance 110 forming substantially another vertex of the triangle and intended to cooperate with the portion 95 of the rake 92. The cam 106 is subjected to the action of a return spring not shown, tending to maintain the abutment 108 bearing against the rod 56 of the control member 54. In this position, the protrusion 110 does not come into contact with the rake 92, whatever the position of the latter.

Le mécanisme 12 comporte également, de façon optionnelle, un dispositif de remise à zéro du score total, du type de celui présenté dans le document GB 310 401 .The golf counter mechanism 12 finally comprises a star 112 mounted in the fixed plate 38 in the vicinity of the star 62 in incremental / read position, on the diameter 9 o'clock - 3 o'clock, and extending in the plane of the star 62. In this position, the star 112 can be actuated by the spouts 80b and 82b of the mobiles 80 and 82 respectively. The star 112 constitutes the first element of an unrepresented totalizer, of the type disclosed in the document GB 310 401 . The totalizer is associated with a display device for displaying the total score through the window 30. The mechanism 12 also optionally includes a device for resetting the total score, of the type presented in the document. GB 310 401 .

In the so-called initial position, the mobile 60 corresponding to the first hole is in the incrementation / reading position, and the aperture 26 reveals the hole number 1. In addition, the mobiles 60, which provide, by their angular position, a indication of the score of the holes, are oriented so that the snail 66 points to the axis AA, which corresponds to a zero score. In this position, the window 28, associated with the score of the selected hole, displays a score of zero. In the same way, the window 30 associated with the total score, displays a score of zero. It should be noted, moreover, that the turntable 42 is locked in rotation by the spout 91 engaged in the notch 49 of the plate 48 corresponding to this initial position.

A pressure exerted on the pusher 34 actuates the lever 84 which drives the mobile of incrementation 80 in rotation via the finger 80c. The spout 80a bears on a tooth of the star 62 in the incrementation / reading position, and the latter rotates by one tooth with the jumper 76. The score of the selected hole, which is linked to the angular position of the mobile 60, is thus incremented by one point. At the same time, the spout 80b bears on a tooth of the star 112, and the latter rotates by one tooth, driving the totalizer. The total score is thus incremented by one point.

When the mobile 60 rotates under the effect of a pressure exerted on the pusher 34, the snail 66 presents to the probe 90 a smaller radius, which causes the tilting of the probe assembly 90 - rake 92 about its axis 94 The rake 92 in turn drives the mobile 98 rotated through the pinion 96, and the display of the first hole score changes from 0 to 1.

Repeated presses on the pusher 34 thus make it possible to increment and display the score of the first hole and the total score. Note that it is possible to perform a correction of these scores via the pusher 36. Indeed, the action of the pusher 36, associated with the lever 86 and the mobile 82, is symmetrical to the action of the pusher 34. The pusher 36 thus rotates the stars 62 and 112 in the opposite direction to the incrementing direction, which allows to decrement the scores.

The passage from the first hole to the second hole is performed using the control member 54 in the pulled position. In this position, the protuberance 59 on the rod 56 is positioned opposite the stop 108 belonging to the cam 106, which has the effect of rotating the cam 106 about its axis. The protrusion 110 then bears on the rake 92 so as to rotate it about its axis 94. The feeler 90 is thus separated from the snail 66, and the spout 91 leaves the notch 49, which allows to unlock the plate 42 When the operator actuates the control member 54, the mobile stage 42 is rotated and the mobile 60 corresponding to the second hole is brought into the incrementation / reading position. The window 26 then leaves the number 2, and a zero score is displayed through the window 28 associated with the score of the selected hole. The scores of the second hole and total are modified using the pushers 34 and 36 as described above.

The operations described above are then repeated until the last hole.

Le score ayant été mémorisé à l'aide du sautoir 76, le palpeur 90 vient lire ce score et le transmet au dispositif d'affichage 104.It will be noted that the angular position of the mobiles 60 being fixed by the jumpers 76, the score of each hole made is stored when the user goes to the next hole. It is thus possible, at any time, to consult the score of a hole already played, by moving the plate 42 by means of the ring gear 32 so as to position a determined mobile 60 in the incrementing / reading position. The score having been stored using the jumper 76, the probe 90 reads this score and transmits it to the display device 104.

At the end of the game, the zeroing of the scores of the holes played, is carried out thanks to the ring 70. The latter is actuated by means of the reset lever 37 which cooperates with the asymmetric teeth 72 to drive it into position. rotation. The hammers 74 then return all the cores 64 to their initial position, that is to say the point directed towards the axis AA. The mobiles 60 are thus all reoriented so as to provide a zero score indication.
