Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for separating cover layers from one end of a conveyor belt, wherein the Gurthobel and the conveyor belt are movable relative to each other and the separation of the respective cover layer by means of a knife of the device takes place.
  • such devices serve to reduce the strength of a conveyor belt in the region of the two ends, so that metal connectors can be attached in the region of these reduced-thickness ends.
  • These advantageously have an extension in the thickness direction of the conveyor belt, which is not substantially greater than the thickness of the conveyor belt before the separation of the cover layer.
  • the connectors of the two ends of the conveyor belt are mounted in an overlapping arrangement and connected to each other by means of a rod inserted into them, so that a circulating conveyor belt is formed.
  • cover layer is to be understood comprehensively.
  • the cover layers of the belt are those layers which adjoin the top and bottom of the belt.
  • the thickness of each covering layer to be separated is to be seen in terms of the geometry of the metallic connectors to be attached, but not in terms of a different layer structure of the conveyor belt.
  • Gurthobel A device of the type mentioned, there referred to as Gurthobel, is from the DE 40 02 116 A1 known.
  • the machine belt belt described therein serves for separating a cover layer from one end of a conveyor belt clamped on a support device.
  • the Gurthobel has a carriage which is movable along the support device, in which a knife and a pressure shoe leading thereto are mounted in a height-adjustable manner in accordance with the thickness of the cover layer to be cut off or the thickness of the conveyor belt.
  • the knife is formed as a blade, the carriage facing away from the free end is bent up so as to cut off the top layer vertically and horizontally.
  • the carriage is moved by means of a gear transmission, which can be actuated via a hand crank. Due to the reduction ratio of the transmission, the blade can be moved with great force through the belt, the thick and thus rigid blade ensures that over the entire belt width a consistent cover layer thickness is removed.
  • a device of the type mentioned is further from the WO 96/07517 known.
  • a knife for separating a cover layer of the conveyor belt is provided.
  • the device is provided with two rollers rotatably mounted about parallel axes, which hold the not yet reduced in thickness conveyor belt clamped between them.
  • a roller is drivable, so that the conveyor belt is supported by the rollers.
  • the knife is arranged, which accordingly separates the cover layer from the conveyor belt.
  • the device is freestanding, so it is not necessary to position the conveyor belt stationary. Rather, the conveyor belt is inserted into the device and transported by the rollers through the device and thereby separated the cover layer.
  • the object of the invention is to develop a device of the type mentioned so that with this quickly and precisely in the region of one end of the conveyor belt facing away from each other cover layers of the conveyor belt can be separated.
  • the object is achieved in a device of the type mentioned above in that the device has two blades, wherein the one knife serves to separate the cover layer on one side of the conveyor belt and the other knife the separation of the cover layer on the other side of the conveyor belt.
  • this thus separates the two cover layers from the conveyor belt during the relative movement of the device and conveyor belt. It is thus not necessary to re-clamp the conveyor belt or to realign the device. The facility does not need to be re-scheduled.
  • the two knives are defined defined to each other during the separation process, so that, unless deliberate adjustment of the knife is brought about, always the same separation image is formed at the respective end of the conveyor belt.
  • the two blades it is not necessary for the two blades to simultaneously initiate the separation process. It may well be desirable to start the separation process with a time delay, ie first a knife penetrates into the conveyor belt to separate one cover layer and a little later the other knife into the conveyor belt to separate the other cover layer.
  • a relative movement of the device and conveyor belt is required.
  • This relative movement can be achieved in different ways, for example by a stationary mounting of the conveyor belt and the movement of the device relative to the conveyor belt or by a freely movable device which is provided with a drive and passes through the conveyor belt.
  • This device can be designed for example in the sense of the prior art described with pinch rollers, one of which is drivable. It is also conceivable to store the device stationary and to clamp the conveyor belt in a movable carriage, in order to produce in this way the movement of the conveyor belt to the stationary device.
  • the blades used in the device can certainly be designed differently in order to accomplish different cross-sectional geometries of the planed cover layers and thus different geometries of the recesses in the conveyor belt. Due to differently shaped recesses of the conveyor belts, the rotating conveyor belt can be optimized with respect to the connected to the ends of the conveyor belt connector, since in the drawn outer region of the conveyor belt a different return geometry is useful, as in the pressed inner portion of the front belt, with pulleys for the Conveyor belt comes into contact.
  • the blades have cutting edges which are arranged parallel to one another.
  • parallel recesses are formed in the conveyor belt when separating the outer layers.
  • At least one of the knives should be adjustable in the direction of thickness of the conveyor belt in order to vary the remaining conveyor belt thickness.
  • at least one of the knives should be adjustable perpendicular to the thickness direction of the conveyor belt. This makes it possible to change the dimension of the cover layer, which is associated with the adjustable knife, perpendicular to the running direction of the conveyor belt in the respective band section.
  • the cutting edge of a knife can, relative to the relative direction of movement of the device and conveyor belt, in front of the cutting edge the other knife, as already described above.
  • the respective knife has a central portion and at least one adjoining edge portion, in particular two adjoining the central portion edge portions.
  • the cutting edges of the central sections are arranged in particular parallel to each other.
  • the or the edge portions are arranged in particular at a right to obtuse angle to the central portion.
  • the device has guide plates for guiding the conveyor belt between them.
  • the spacing of the guide plates is preferably selected so that the conveyor belt can be moved between the guide plates with little play. So that the device can be used for different conveyor belt strengths, at least one of the guide plates in the direction of thickness of the conveyor belt is adjustable.
  • the blades are arranged in the direction of movement of the conveyor belt relative to the device behind the guide plates. This ensures that the conveyor belt is moved exactly aligned in the knife area. Preferably, this is supported by means that ensure a lateral abutment of the conveyor belt, so that a positive guidance of the device and conveyor belt is ensured.
  • the conveyor belt is mounted stationary, in particular clamped in a support means, and the device is movable.
  • the device is in a stationary Guide device guided, in particular in a guide device which forms a structural unit with the support means.
  • a drive is preferably provided, with which the device is represented as a machine device.
  • the drive should have a pinion which engages a rack or hole bar on the guide means.
  • the drive is done in particular by hand.
  • a hand crank is expediently provided for rotating the pinion, wherein advantageously a reduction gear is arranged between the hand crank and the pinion.
  • the relative movement of the device and conveyor belt can be accomplished in other ways. It is particularly thought of that the device is mounted stationary and the conveyor belt is movable.
