Description

The invention relates to a hood lock according to the preamble of claim 1.

Hood locks for locking hoods or hoods of a motor vehicle are well known. If hood locks can be unlocked on the front edge of the hood, they must be secured by a second locking mechanism, provided that they are hinged at the rear. If the driver wants to open the hood, he unlocks the hood in a first step. As a result, a primary fuse is overridden by a mounted on the bonnet striker is released. To overcome the secondary fuse, a secondary fishing hook fastened to the striker is to be pivoted between the front of the body and the underside of the bonnet, whereby the bonnet is opened.

When mounting the bonnet, the striker is attached to the bonnet and painted. The secondary fishing hook for manual opening of the hood is not yet mounted. The reason is that the paint would penetrate into the pivot axis of the secondary fishing hook and partially bond this area. The subsequent use of the secondary fishing hook would then lead to paint breaks. Therefore, after the painting process, the secondary fishing hook is opened Bonnet mounted by a worker in an overhead job.

The DE 103 00 640 A1 describes a device for securing the hood of a motor vehicle. It consists of a lock with catch, pawl and Bowden cable. By a special contouring of the pawl, a Bowden cable can be mounted in both left-hand and right-hand drive vehicles. When pulling on the Bowden cable, the pawl releases the catch. A return spring pivots the catch and releases the lock completely. The device does not have a secondary lock.

In the WO 98/26144 a hood lock according to the preamble of claim 1 is described, in which the catch hook is formed integrally with the rotary latch. A spring is capable of rotating the catch from the primary latch to the secondary latch and beyond to fully release the striker. To hold the catch in the secondary latch, a latch engaging the latch is provided.

Based on the above-mentioned prior art, it is the object to provide a hood lock by preventing that a force of the first spring against the fishing hook opens this accidentally.

The solution of this object is achieved with the features of independent claim 1. Advantageous developments are represented by the features of the dependent claims.

The invention accordingly relates to a hood lock for securing the Bonnet of a motor vehicle. The hood lock has a primary lock and a secondary lock for a cooperating with the hood lock striker and is thus for the rear hinged hoods suitable. The secondary locking in this case comprises a rotary latch and a catch hook, wherein the catch and catch hooks are integrally formed.

Opposite hood locks with separate catch and (secondary) fishing hook reduces in the one-piece design, the number of required parts, simplifies the extent of the design of the hood lock and reduces the number of possibly non-functioning components.

The one-piece design of fishing hook and catch brings with it that the fishing hook is designed to be movable. If, for example, a pedestrian strikes the bonnet lock area against the bonnet due to an accident, this reduces the risk of injury compared with a bonnet lock with a rigid catch hook. A rigid, mounted on the bodywork front and upwards fishing hooks namely inherently poses a risk of injury when the located above such a fishing hook plate of the hood is already pressed.

The fishing hook is also designed body side movable, ie is not connected to the hood moving part. This facilitates the assembly of the hood lock in the manufacture of the vehicle, because the connected to the hood part of the hood lock with the striker is rigid and can therefore be painted with the hood as a unit. Subsequent mounting movable and to be fixed to the hood parts of the hood lock after painting thus eliminated.

According to the invention, a first spring for rotating the rotary latch is provided and the rotary latch has a first spring counteracting the first stop. The first spring rotates the catch out of a closed position and experiences in a certain rotary latch position the counteraction of the first stop, or is rendered powerless by the first stop. In this position, the primary fuse is overcome, but secures the secondary fuse in the form of the catch hook the striker.

According to the invention, the position of the first stop is selected such that the first stop of the first spring counteracts in such a rotary latch position in which an associated striker can be detected by the catch hook. The first spring is therefore powerless when the associated striker is detected by the fishing hook. By this choice prevents a force of the first spring against the fishing hook inadvertently opens it.

A realization of the counteracting of the first stop against the first spring consists according to a further embodiment in that the first spring is a leg spring which is supported on the lock housing, and the first stop projects laterally from the rotary catch. The first stop, since laterally projecting, abuts during a rotational movement of the rotary latch against the legs supported on the lock housing and makes the leg spring thereby powerless.

A position selection within the meaning of the penultimate paragraph is made according to one embodiment such that the first stop then abuts in the rotary latch position against a supporting leg of the leg spring, if an associated striker is detected by the catch hook.

In another embodiment, the hood lock has a second spring which counteracts the first spring. The second spring is used during the closing process that the fishing hook detects the inserted into the catch locking striker.

In a further embodiment, the torque exerted by the first spring on the rotary latch is greater than that of the second spring. This ensures that the primary lock can be overcome at all by means of the first spring.

In a further embodiment of the hood lock, the second spring is a leg spring fixed to a lock housing, and the rotary latch has a laterally projecting second stop.

A realization of the embodiment of the last paragraph is that the position of the second stop is selected so that the second stop abuts in the closed position of the hood lock against a leg of the leg spring.

Incidentally, the pawl of the primary lock can be actuated with a Bowden cable.

FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the hood lock in a rear view, in its closed position. The hood lock has a lock housing 1, which has two inner walls 2 and 3. A rotary latch 4 is rotatably mounted about a bolt 5 fixed to the housing. The rotary latch 4 has a recess 6 for receiving the associated striker 7. Above the recess 6, the catch has the shape of a fishing hook 8. Accordingly, catch 4 and fishing hooks 8 are integrally formed.

FIG. 1 shows the hood lock in its closed position. A return spring 9 presses in a known manner a pawl 10 in the recess 6 of the rotary latch 4 and prevents rotational movement in a clockwise direction.

Pulls the driver of a vehicle equipped with this hood lock vehicle on Bowden cable 11 to the left, so the pawl 10 releases the catch 4. Thus, the primary lock of the locking pin 7 is disabled. Due to the spring force of the support against the inner wall 3 first spring 12, a leg spring, the rotary latch 4 rotates clockwise.

FIG. 2 shows the hood lock the FIG. 1 in a front view. One recognizes a second spring 13, designed as a leg spring whose left leg is fixed to the housing, and whose right leg 19 can be detected by a second stop 14 of the rotary latch 4. Of the second stop 14 is laterally from the rotary latch 4 and points in FIG. 2 towards the viewer. Turns the catch 4 of the FIG. 1 clockwise, this means at FIG. 2 a compression of the second spring 13 in a counterclockwise direction. To ensure this movement when opening the hood lock, the torque of the second spring 13 is smaller than the torque of the first spring 12th

FIG. 3 shows the hood lock the FIG. 1 in a perspective side view. Here recognizes particularly well the rearwardly projecting second stop 14, but also the forwardmost first stop 15, whose operation below with the FIGS. 4 to 6 is explained in more detail.

FIG. 4 shows the rear view of the hood lock the FIG. 1 with an unlocked primary lock and with a position of the catch 4, with respect to the position of FIG. 1 is offset by about 45 ° clockwise. In this position, the first stop 15 counteracts the leg 18 of the first spring 12, which is supported on the inner wall 3, in that it abuts against it and thus makes it powerless. The position of the first stop 15 is in this case selected so that the first stop 15 of the first spring 12 counteracts in such a rotary latch position in which the associated striker 7 is detected by the fishing hook 8. The striker 7 therefore remains secured.

FIG. 5 is a frontal view of the in FIG. 4 shown hood lock. It can be seen that the second stop 14 has rotated the right leg 19 of the second spring 13 by approximately 30 ° in the counterclockwise direction. The thus constructed spring tension causes the recess 6 facing inner Fanghakenkontur 16 in this position is pressed against the locking pin 7, see. FIG. 6 , This ensures, in conjunction with the selected inner catch hook contour 16, that the striker 7 remains secured, and the bonnet attached thereto can not be released from the catch hook 8 by external forces, eg due to wind or an uneven road surface.

FIG. 6 shows the hood lock the FIG. 4 in a perspective side view. It can be seen in particular that the first stop 15 takes the right leg 18 of the first spring 12 and thereby makes them powerless.

By manually operating the rotary latch 4 on the hood, for example, with an acting on the rotary latch 4 (not shown) lever, the secondary locking, comprising the integrally formed with the fishing hook 8 rotary latch 4 in the position of FIG. 7 (Rear view) and 8 (front view) brought. The bonnet can now be swiveled freely. If it is closed again, causes the outer catch hook contour 17, ie that contour of the fishing hook 8, which is opposite in the closed position of the pawl 10 that the rotary latch 4 of FIG. 7 is rotated counterclockwise. Reached the locking pin 7, the recess 6, the second spring 13 causes a further movement of the rotary latch 4 in the counterclockwise direction, whereby the fishing hook 8 lays with its inner catch hook contour 16 on the striker 7 and this secures.
