Abstract

Ein Fugenschneider mit einem Schneidmotor (2) zum drehenden Antreiben eines Schneidwerkzeugs (4) und einer Vorschubeinrichtung (6) zum Bewegen des Schneidwerkzeugs (4) mit einer Vorschubgeschwindigkeit relativ zum Boden weist eine Drehzahlerfassungseinrichtung zum Erfassen eines Ist-Wertes für die Drehzahl des Schneidwerkzeugs (4) bzw. des Schneidmotors (2) auf. Der Ist-Wert wird durch eine Regeleinrichtung ausgewertet und mit einem vorgegebenen Soll-Wert verglichen. In Abhängigkeit von einer Abweichung von Ist- und Sollwert steuert die Regeleinrichtung die Vorschubeinrichtung (6) an und ändert die Vorschubgeschwindigkeit.
