Definitions

  • the invention relates to a projector lamp holder, particularly a motor vehicle, which is intended to carry a lamp whose base is connected to a high-voltage connector.
  • the lamp In projectors using a high-voltage lamp, the lamp emits an electromagnetic field that charges the projector's reflector in static electricity by increasing its electrical potential. To prevent the electrical potential from increasing too much and causing sparks, the reflector must be electrically connected to the vehicle ground.
  • the lamp holder is made of an electrically conductive material.
  • the lamp holder is then electrically connected to the body of the high voltage connector of the lamp which is itself electrically connected to the vehicle ground.
  • To electrically connect the lamp holder to the body of the lamp connector it is known to equip the lamp holder with contact claws.
  • Lamp holders of this type are already known. US 2005/0111230 A .
  • the lamp holder is generally equipped with claws that extend longitudinally rearwardly projecting from the rear end edge of the lamp holder.
  • the claws thus extend in a ring over at least three quarters of the periphery of the rear end edge.
  • the claws are generally made integrally with a clamp which is crimped around the outer cylindrical wall of the lamp holder. This crimping operation of the claws on the lamp holder is an additional operation in the assembly process, time-consuming, expensive, and likely to generate rejects.
  • the invention therefore proposes to solve these problems by proposing a lamp holder of the type described above, characterized in that the claw extends in a direction tangential to the wall of the lamp holder and perpendicular to the axis. main longitudinal.
  • FIG. 1 a projector 10 of a motor vehicle.
  • the projector 10 comprises a reflector 12 and a lamp holder 14.
  • the reflector 12 here has a dome shape open longitudinally forwards.
  • the reflector 12 here comprises a longitudinal optical axis "A".
  • the rear end vertex of the reflector 12 has an orifice 16 for passing a lamp 18.
  • the lamp holder 14 comprises a generally cylindrical tubular body of longitudinal main axis "A" and is delimited radially by a generally cylindrical wall 24.
  • the radial orientations will all be defined with respect to the main axis "A" of the lamp holder 14.
  • a radial plane will be orthogonal to the main axis "A”.
  • tangential orientations are defined which extend in a radial plane tangentially to the cylindrical wall 24 of the lamp holder 14.
  • a front end portion 20 of the lamp holder 14 is shaped so that it can be inserted longitudinally forwards into the rear port 16 of the reflector 12 and then fixed during a mounting operation of the lamp holder 14.
  • the wall 24 of the lamp holder 14 is then in electrical contact with the reflector 12.
  • the cylindrical wall 24 of the rear end portion 22 of the lamp holder 14 has an outer cylindrical face.
  • the rear end portion 22 is bounded longitudinally rearward by a circular rear end edge 26.
  • the lamp 18 is here an arc lamp which is intended to be mounted in the lamp holder 14.
  • the lamp 18 comprises a cylindrical bulb before 27 which is fixed in a rear base 30 axisymmetric with respect to the main axis "A" .
  • the rear base 30 has a radial collar of diameter greater than that of the bulb 27.
  • the rear end of the rear cap 30 comprises means of electrical connection to a high-voltage connector 32 so as to be supplied with electricity.
  • the high-voltage connector 32 has connection means complementary to those of the base 30 which are arranged at the front of the body of the high-voltage connector 32.
  • the base 30 of the lamp 18 comprises first bayonet mounting means which cooperate with second bayonet mounting means carried by the high-voltage connector 32.
  • the base 30 of the lamp 18 has radial lugs which cooperate with "L" -shaped grooves (not shown) carried by the connector 32.
  • the lamp holder 14 has an inner radial shoulder face 28 which separates the front end portion 20 from the rear end portion 22.
  • the shoulder face 28 is dimensioned so that the bulb 27 of the lamp 18 can pass longitudinally towards the front section 20 through the lamp holder 14 but in such a way that the collar of the base 30 comes into abutment against the shoulder face 28.
  • the lamp holder 14 also comprises means for fixing the base 30 of the lamp 18 in the mounted position which will be described in more detail below.
  • the lamp 18 When mounting the lamp 18 in the lamp holder 14, the lamp 18 is inserted coaxially back and forth inside the lamp holder 14, the bulb 27 being directed forward, until the base 30 is in abutment against the shoulder face 28. The lamp 18 is then fixed to the lamp holder 14 with the aid of the spring 58. The base 30 of the lamp 18 is thus housed inside the section of the lamp. rear end 22 of lamp holder 14, while the bulb 27 protrudes longitudinally forwards with respect to the lamp holder 14 inside the reflector 12.
  • the high-voltage connector 32 is then mounted on the base 30 of the lamp 18 after the lamp 18 has been mounted in the lamp holder 14.
