Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an arrangement for the electrical connection of a lamp.
  • the present invention relates more particularly to an arrangement for the electrical connection of a lamp, in particular in a motor vehicle headlamp, of the type in which the lamp comprises axially at the front a light source element and at the rear a fitted base.
  • fixed connection terminals of the type in which the lamp is mounted in a holder through a hole and is electrically connected to a power supply beam by contacting the fixed terminals with associated connection terminals carried by a terminal block.
  • the mounting and connecting elements of a motor vehicle headlamp lamp are arranged in the following manner.
  • the lamp has contact blades oriented axially towards the rear.
  • the contact blades are inserted axially into the associated sockets of the lamp holder and then the lamp holder is fitted into a complementary receptacle arranged at the rear of the projector.
  • connection elements of the projector During the manufacture of the connection elements of the projector, it is generally expected a significant length of electrical son to facilitate the handling of the lamp holder and the lamp during the connection.
  • the electrical son are misplaced inside the projector. They may for example be trapped in the fasteners of the lamp on its support or be stuck between the lamp and the reflector of the projector. These situations can cause the projector to malfunction.
  • This type of arrangement is used in particular in direction indicator lights and in adjustable reflector projectors.
  • electrical wires for connection to the vehicle power harness are arranged in the frame of the projector and are connected to connection terminals arranged in a receptacle carried by the rear face of the reflector.
  • the axial contact blades of the lamp are inserted into the corresponding sockets of a suitable lamp holder which has connection terminals complementary to those carried by the receptacle.
  • the lamp holder equipped with the lamp is fitted into the receptacle by an axial movement towards the front, then a pivoting movement of the lamp around its axis until the terminals of the lamp holder come into electrical contact with the lamp. the associated terminals of the receptacle and make the connection.
  • the invention aims to remedy these drawbacks by proposing an economical arrangement which makes it possible to make the electrical connection of a lamp by simple manipulations.
  • the invention proposes an arrangement of the type described above, where the fixed terminals extend generally laterally from a portion of the axial surface of the base towards the outside in directions which are each contained in a substantially transverse plane, characterized in that the terminal block is movably mounted relative to the support between a locked position in which the connection terminals are in electrical contact with the associated fixed terminals, and an unlocked position in which the connection terminals are remote from the fixed terminals, way that the displacement of the terminal to its locked position, or to its unlocked position, causes the connection, respectively the disconnection, from the lamp with the power harness.
  • the support is constituted by the reflector of the projector (the terminal being then movably mounted relative to the rear wall of said reflector).
  • this support can also be another piece that the reflector, including an additional piece advantageously fixed by any mechanical means to the rear wall of the reflector.

  • the pin 92 meets the boss 50 and it causes an additional deformation of the tongue 44, until it protrudes transversely to the left the boss 50, which causes for the user a feeling of passing a notch.

  • the disconnection takes place by performing these operations in the opposite direction.
  • the contact blades 24, 26, 28 are oriented here substantially radially with respect to the axis A-A of the lamp 12.
  • the terminal block 36 has the form of a transverse arcuate plate of axis AA which comprises in its outer axial face, in the vicinity of each of its circumferential ends, a trunnion 142, 144 of transverse axis EE which forms a pivot for the terminal block 36.
  • Each pin 142, 144 is rotatably mounted in a complementary bearing 146, 148 carried by the rear face 18 of the reflector 14.
  • Each bearing 146, 148 here has the shape of a gutter open at the rear so as to allow the mounting of the trunnion 142, 144 associated axially (A-A) from back to front.
  • Each pin 142, 144 is held in the bearing 146, 148 associated with the head 150 of a screw 152, the screw 152 being mounted in an axial hole 154 (A-A) made in a portion of the bearing 146, 148 associated.
  • the terminal block 36 has housings 116 which are provided for mounting the connection terminals 65.
  • each connecting terminal 65 is here in the form of a blade having at its free end on the lamp side a forward convex boss 156 which is provided to engage the rear face of a contact blade 24 , 26, 28 associated.
  • Each housing 116 here comprises two radial and transverse grooves 158, 160 in which the radial edges of the associated connection terminal 65 are inserted.
  • the terminal block 36 here comprises two gripping plates 162, 164 which extend parallel to the transverse axis EE and which extend axially (AA) towards the rear considering the figure 14 , in order to facilitate the manipulation of the terminal block 36 by the user.
  • the terminal block 36 is represented on the figure 14 and 16 in the locked position, that is to say that the connection terminals 65 are in electrical contact with the associated contact terminals 24, 26, 28 of the lamp 12.
  • the terminal block 36 is rotated around its transverse axis EE, in the direction schedule by considering the Figures 15 and 16 , so that the connection terminals 65 move away from the contact terminals 24, 26, 28 of the lamp 12.
  • the terminal block 36 then occupies the position which is represented on the figure 15 .
  • the lamp 12 can be removed or mounted by moving it axially rearwardly, respectively forwardly.
  • the invention has therefore developed an electrical connection system where the terminal block is mounted relative to a support, typically the rear wall of the reflector of the projector. We do not have an imprecise floating assembly. On the contrary, it can ensure a connection "blind” between the terminal block and the lamp terminals, without having to "aim” the lamp terminals during assembly. In addition, it is safe to lock the assembly correctly, because the electrical contact is only made if the connector (the terminal block) is properly positioned.
