Definitions

  • Exhaust ducts or hoods of this type are parts of exhaust systems of large and catering kitchens.
  • systems for aerosol and aerosol treatment are used. It uses special lamps that produce UV-C light and ozone. They are in the flow direction behind the filter segments, which are often aerosol, arranged and cause a photolytic oxidation of the organic substances contained in the irradiated area, eg. As the aerosolates and odors. This results in a reduction of the Aersosolatbelastung in the exhaust air system and the odor emission into the environment. Excess ozone is naturally converted back into oxygen.
  • the kitchen exhaust ducts or hoods are connected during assembly with an exhaust air system, which includes a fan, and at the same time connected to a differential pressure switch.
  • the air purification system can only be put into operation in conjunction with the exhaust air system. This prevents ozone can escape into the operating rooms.
  • Object of the present invention is to provide a kitchen exhaust duct or a kitchen exhaust hood of the type mentioned in such a way that the leakage of UV light is always reliably avoided.
  • guiding devices are provided, along which the filter segments are displaceable and which are designed such that the filter segments can be removed only in the region of a gap; e) a locking insert is provided which is in line with the filter segments removably placed in the region of the gap of the guide means such that when the lock insert is inserted no filter segment can be removed from the guide means; f) an electrical switch is provided which is operable to interrupt the circuit to the UV lamp when the lockout insert is removed ; and g) the locking insert (17) comprises an outer part (17a) and a slide (17b) guided in the latter, which can be guided and locked against the force of a spring device (22) into a position in which the electrical switch (13 ) is pressed.
  • the invention is therefore based on the following principle:
  • the individual filter segments are removed from the guide means along which they are displaceable, only at a single point, which could be referred to as a "lock” removable.
  • a locking insert as a "placeholder” so that the filter segments can not reach the lock.
  • the locking insert cooperates with an electrical switch. Only when it is used, the current flow to the UV lamp is released.
  • the locking insert To remove filter segments, for example, for replacement or cleaning, the locking insert must first be removed, which is immediately connected to the shutdown of the UV lamp. Only then can the filter segments be moved into the area of the gap or "lock” and taken out of the housing one after the other.
  • the locking insert has an outer part and a slide guided in this, which can be guided against the force of a spring device in a position and locked in this, in which the electrical switch is actuated.
  • a locking pin may be provided which is guided displaceably in the outer part and the inner end can be latched in a certain relative position between the outer part and slider in a recess of the slider. The locking of the slider relative to the outer part of the locking insert can thus be solved by simply pulling out the locking pin.
  • the slider in its extended position engages under a portion of a holding element such that the locking insert can not be removed.
  • the slider thus fulfills a second function, namely that of holding the locking insert in the housing. Only when retracted slide the locking insert can be removed.
  • the slider should have a handle on which it can be moved relative to the outer part of the locking insert.
  • a kitchen exhaust duct is shown and provided overall with the reference numeral 1, which is designed as a so-called "edge channel".
  • the kitchen air duct 1 in a solid angle between a vertical room wall and the ceiling is arranged.
  • the housing 2 which is formed by two end walls 3, a cover wall 4, a bottom wall 5, a rear wall not visible in the drawing and a profiled front wall 6.
  • the individual walls 3 to 6 are made of sheet metal parts; they are detachably joined together. However, at least the top wall 4 and the rear wall of the remaining housing 2 are removable.
  • the front wall 6 has at the top a first strip-like region 6a, which is vertically aligned and merges at its lower edge into a second strip-like region 6b, which points obliquely upwards. Below the second strip-like region 6b is followed by a third strip-like region 6c, which is wider than the regions 6a and 6b and points obliquely downward.
  • a slot-like opening 7 Over almost the entire length of the third region 6c of the front wall extends a slot-like opening 7, in which in a manner shown below, a plurality of modularly joined filter segments 8 and further, explained below components are used.
  • the filter segments 8 are preferably aerosol and have known construction; they are designed so that they can deposit the fat, which is carried by flowing air, on corresponding surfaces.
  • Each filter segment 8 has a length which makes up only a fraction of the total longitudinal extent of the kitchen exhaust duct 1, so that therefore always a plurality of such filter segments 8 is inserted into the opening 7.
  • the rails 9 and 10 are formed so that they can each receive the upper or lower edge of the filter segments 8 in such a way that the filter segments 8 in the longitudinal direction of the rails 9, 10 can be moved.
  • the upper rail 9 includes a downwardly bent edge portion 9 a, which does not extend over the entire length of the rail 9 away, but to the in FIG. 2 right end leaves a gap 9b. The meaning of this gap 9b will be clearer below.
  • the lower rail 10 has an upwardly bent edge portion 10a, which extends over its entire length, so none of the gap 9b has comparable gap.
  • the upper or lower edges of the filter segments 8 lie with their inwardly facing surface on the edge regions 9a, 10a and with their outwardly facing surface on a tread rib 11 and 12, which forms the upper or lower edge of the opening 7.
  • the filter segments 11 at all points except the region of the gap 9b in the upper rail 9 is not removable between the rails 9, 10 and the area 9c of the front wall 6 of the housing 2 held.
  • the region of the gap 9b which has a length which corresponds approximately to the length of a filter segment 8:
  • the upper edge of a filter segment 8 pushed back and there located filter segment 8 from the rails 9, 10 dug and then a total of removed at the front.
  • FIG. 1 left end portion of the slot-like opening 7 in the front wall 6 of the housing 2 is a made of sheet metal holding member 12 is fixed.
  • the holding member 12 carries, in particular the Figures 2 and 5 show, on its inside an electric limit switch 13, which has a pointing into the interior of the housing 2, provided with a caster 15 confirmation plunger 14.
  • the in FIG. 5 Left, vertically extending edge of the support member 12 is folded over twice, so that, immediately after the flat front of the support member 12, a first strip 12a and, after another 90 ° Umbantung form a second strip 12b.
  • the strip 12b of the holding plate is divided into two tabs 12ba and 12bb.
  • the plunger 14 or at least the caster 15 of the limit switch 13 protrudes through the opening 16 of the Haltebleelements 12 into the interior of the housing 2, so that he or she can be reached and operated from there.
  • the locking insert 17 comprises an outer part 17a made of sheet metal, the upper and lower edge is folded over twice by 90 °, so that thus form up and down groove-like guides.
  • a slider 17b In these groove-like guides, the upper and the lower edge of a slider 17b is guided. Also, the slider 17b is a sheet metal part; he is at all edges, including those who are perpendicular to the rails 9, 10, at least once folded by 90 °.
  • a bow handle 18 On the slider 17b, a bow handle 18 is fixed, whose legs are passed through two horizontal slots 19 in the outer part 17a. With the help of the bow handle 18, therefore, the slider 17b relative to the outer part 17a can be moved to the extent that allows the size of the slots 19.
  • an axially displaceable locking pin 20 is passed through the outer part 17 which can engage in a certain relative position between slide 17b and outer part 17a in a bore 21 of the slider 17b.
  • the locking pin 20 is spring-loaded so that he tries to move inwards, ie in the direction of the slide 17b.
  • FIG. 1 In assembled condition, in FIG. 1 is shown, close to the locking insert 17 on the opposite side of the holding member 12, the various filter segments 8 at.
  • a compensating plate 23 is inserted, which optionally via adjusting screws, which allow a tolerance compensation, with an edge on one side surface 3 of the housing and the other edge on the adjacent filter segment 8 is supported.
  • the compensating plate 23 is adjusted so that it and the various filter segments 8, the locking insert 17 and the retaining element 12 in the assembled state remain in frictional engagement with each other, so that no translucent gaps arise between the individual parts.
  • the slider 17b is extended by appropriate operation of the handle 18 against the force of the leaf springs 22 so that its corresponding edge engages with the fold 17ba under the two tabs 12ba, 12bb of the support member 12 and the plunger 4 of the limit switch 13 via the caster 15 is actuated, so that the circuit is closed to the UV lamp.
  • the slider 17b is held in this spring-loaded position by locking the locking pin 20 in the opening 21 of the slider 17b.
  • UV-C light generating special lamps are arranged, which are not shown in the drawing. These special lamps cause a photolytic oxidation of the organic substances contained in the exhaust area, in particular Aerosolat- and odors. In addition to UV-C light, ozone is also produced; both must not escape into the operating rooms.
  • the procedure is as follows: First, the locking pin 20 of the locking insert 17 is pulled outward, so that the slider 17b is free to move. He is now pressed by the leaf springs 22 inwardly into the outer part 17 a of the locking insert 17. The fold 17ba of the slider 17 moves away from the plunger 14 of the limit switch 13. This results in a direct or indirect interruption of the operating current supplying the UV-C lamps.
  • the slide 17b is further retracted until the fold 17ba no longer engages under the tabs 12ba and 12bb of the holding element 12.
  • the locking insert 17 can be removed with a tilt forward, as shown in FIG. 6 is shown schematically.
  • the adjacent filter segment 8 can be pushed in the direction of the holding member 12, as shown in FIG. 7 is shown.
  • This filter segment 8 thus passes into the region of the gap 9b of the upper rail 9 and can, as already explained above, first tilted and then also taken out to the front. This is in FIG. 8 shown. In this way, in turn, all filter segments 8 can be removed from the housing 2 of the kitchen exhaust duct 1.
