Abstract

The device has a plastic tube (2) containing a fluid product and a blocking unit (7) containing a compacted anti-wrinkle powder. The unit is mounted in a removable manner on the tube, and has an opening for collecting the powder. A product applicator (14) e.g. brush, is mounted in a removable manner on the unit (7) to close the opening. The applicator is moved in a lateral sliding manner with respect to a longitudinal geometrical axis of the tube and the unit for applying the powder. An independent claim is also included for a method for make-up using cosmetic products contained in a cosmetic or skin care product packing and dispensing device.

Description

The invention relates to devices for packaging and dispensing of several products and, more particularly, but not exclusively, those for containing and dispensing cosmetic or care products.

Some products of this type are intended to be used in combination.

Thus it has been proposed containers of bi-product or multi-product type, that is to say containers comprising compartments containing respective products to be applied successively to interact, a product subsequently applied used to complete or perfect the action of a previously applied product.

Double-compound mascaras are thus known comprising an elongating or thickening base on which the actual mascara is applied, which makes it possible to obtain a desired color. It is also known to combine with a moisturizing lipstick a lacquer in order to increase the holding time of the lipstick. Similarly, it has been proposed to associate with a nail polish a hardening varnish base to improve the resistance of the varnish.

In the state of the art, various types of multi-compartment containers can be used to store and dispense complementary products.

In this regard, reference may be made to the document US 2005/0109660 A or to the document WO 03/020 440 which discloses a device comprising a first container for containing a first product, a closure member of the first container which is provided with an applicator for the application of the first product and which comprises a second container for containing a second product, and a cap which is provided with a second applicator for applying the second product. The organ shutter is fixed, by screwing on the first container, while the cap is screwed onto a thread formed in an open end of the closure member.

Such a packaging device is essentially intended to contain and apply products in liquid form. It is generally unsuitable for the application of products in solid form or in powder form.

We can also refer to the request for EP-A-1 382 541 which discloses another type of bi-compartment product packaging device, which comprises a first container for containing a first product, for example a liquid product, and a closure member of the first container which also comprises a second container for contain a second product, different from the first product, for example in the form of a powder. The closure member is screwed onto the first container, while a removable cover is mounted, also by screwing, on the second container for closing.

Although this type of packaging device can distribute products in different forms, for example in the form of a fluid and a powder, it has a number of disadvantages. Indeed, the first container is provided with an applicator which also serves, in one embodiment, applicator for the application of the product contained in the second container. It is not intended to provide the device with a specific applicator for the second product. In any case, it is necessary, to apply the second product, to remove the closure member to access the applicator which is provided with the first container.

In addition to the aforementioned drawbacks, the devices mentioned above are relatively restrictive to handle insofar as all the components of the device are assembled by screwing, so that the gesture required to assemble or, on the contrary, separate the different parts is relatively delicate. Indeed, for example, to separate the first container from the organ shutter, it should rotate the shutter member relative to the first container. To access the second container, it is necessary to rotate the cover relative to the shutter member. In each case, it is a question of handling on the one hand, the first container or the lid and, on the other hand, the second container. If the device is not properly grasped, one of the containers may be opened in place of the other.

We can finally refer to FR 2 820 293 which describes an applicator for makeup products comprising a container containing a solid block, for example an eye shadow block, and a closure member provided with an applicator. This closure member is used to collect and apply the product.

Although this document proposes an applicator for taking and applying a product in solid form, the assembly described in this document is not intended to contain different products.

In view of the above, there is a need for a device for packaging and distribution of multi-compartment products that overcomes the aforementioned drawbacks and that is capable of containing products in different forms, for example fluid and solid or fluid and powder, while allowing to have an applicator for the product in solid form or powder that is easily manipulated.

The object of the invention is therefore, according to a first aspect, a device for packaging and dispensing products, in particular cosmetic products, comprising a first container intended to contain a first product, at least a second container intended to contain a second product. and which is adapted to removably mount on the first container, the second container comprising an opening for sampling the second product filling the second container, and a product applicator configured to removably mount on the second container; container for closing said opening.

According to a general characteristic of this device, the product applicator is movably mounted transversely to a geometrically longitudinal axis of the first and second containers.

The second container is thus provided with a specific applicator which can easily be moved by a simple lateral sliding movement to close the second container or, conversely, be used to apply the second product.

In addition, the gesture required to clear the applicator is fundamentally different from that required to open the first container so that there is no risk of false manipulation.

In a first embodiment of the device according to the invention, the first container is constituted by a tube provided with a closed first end and an opposite open end forming a neck on which the second container is mounted.

For example, the neck of the tube and the second container comprise complementary threads for mounting the second container on the first container by screwing.

Alternatively, the first container is constituted by a pressurized container provided with a dispensing valve and filled with a propellant gas.

In this case, for example, the first container and the second container comprise complementary latching means.

According to yet another variant, the first container may be provided with a pump or piston product dispensing member.

According to a characteristic of the invention, the second container comprises a compartmentalized body delimiting a first compartment and a second compartment juxtaposed, the first compartment being intended to contain the second product and being provided with a first opening extending substantially in a plane transversely considering the geometric axis of the second container, the second compartment being provided with a second opening extending in a plane perpendicular to the plane of the first opening for receiving an applicator member of the applicator.

For example, the end surface of the second container is staggered and comprises a first stage in which is formed the first compartment and a second floor in which is located the second compartment.

As regards the applicator, it preferably comprises a handle to which the applicator member is secured, the handle and the body of the second container having complementary external shapes so that when the applicator member is inserted in the second compartment, the outer surface of the handle is flush with the outer surface of the body.

In one embodiment, the body and the applicator are configured so that the applicator removably attaches to the second compartment by snapping or friction.

In a particular embodiment, the device comprises a compartmentalized body which is intended to be mounted removably on the first container and which comprises a first part in which is or are practiced the or each second container and a second part in which opens the or each second container and which comprises a receiving housing of the applicator.

For example, it further comprises a cover movable relative to the body between an open position making the applicator accessible from the outside and a closed position, and means for closing the lid, in particular by snapping or friction.

Advantageously, the applicator and the bottom of the housing comprise complementary means for holding the applicator in the second compartment.

These holding means comprise for example at least one pin provided in the lid and at least one corresponding orifice formed in the applicator in which the pin engages in the closed position of the lid.

They may further comprise a pin and a cutout provided one in the bottom of the second compartment and the other in the applicator.

The applicator member may be constituted by any element suitable for the intended use, such as a foam, a flocked applicator tip, a brush, a comb, or a brush.

Similarly, the closure member may be made from any suitable material. However, preferably, it is made in one piece by molding a plastic material.

The device according to the invention can be used to contain products in various forms. Thus, for example, the first product may be a solid material loaf. The first product can also be in a fluid form. The first container may include, in this case, an application surface through which the first product is dispensed.

However, in an advantageous application, the first product is a fluid product, the second product being a powder. For example, this powder may be a compacted powder containing anti-wrinkle active ingredients.

According to a second aspect, the invention also relates to a makeup process using cosmetic products contained in a device for packaging and dispensing products which comprises a first container which contains a first product, at least a second container which contains a second product and which is adapted to removably mount on the first container, the second container being provided with an opening for sampling the second product filling the second container, and a product applicator configured to come removably mounting on the second container to close said opening, the method comprising a step of applying the product contained in the second container, which comprises opening the second container and applying said product by means of the applicator, and a step of applying the first product, which consists in opening the first recipe and applying said first product, characterized in that the second container is opened by moving the product applicator in a transverse sliding movement with respect to a longitudinal geometric axis of the first and second containers.

Another subject of the invention, according to another aspect, is a device for packaging and dispensing at least one product, in particular a cosmetic product, comprising at least one container intended to contain at least one product, a closure member of the container which is intended to be removably mounted on the container and at least one product applicator configured to be mounted removably at least partly in the organ closure, characterized in that said at least one product applicator and the closure member are adapted so that said at least one applicator comes to mount transversely in the closure member by considering a longitudinal geometric axis of the container.

In one embodiment, the closure member of the container comprises a body internally having a receiving housing of the applicator and an open generally oriented transversely for insertion of the applicator into the housing.

Preferably, the body of the closure member comprises means for guiding the applicator.

These guide means comprise for example a ramp extending towards the opening towards the inner housing.

Advantageously, the ramp is provided with latching means intended to cooperate with complementary latching means provided in the applicator.

It is also possible to provide, in the body, a stop for limiting the displacement of the applicator relative to the body, in the direction of insertion of the applicator into the housing.

According to yet another aspect, the invention also relates to a makeup process using at least one cosmetic product contained in a packaging and dispensing device which comprises at least one container intended to contain at least one product , a closure member of the container which is intended to be removably mounted on the container and at least one product applicator configured to be mounted removably at least partly in the closure member, the method comprising a step of opening the container and applying the product by means of the applicator, characterized in that the applicator is extracted from the closure member in a movement of transverse sliding with respect to a longitudinal geometric axis of the first and second containers.

On the Figures 1 and 2 , there is shown a first embodiment of a device for packaging and dispensing products according to the invention, designated by the general reference numeral 1.

It has a longitudinal axis X-X ', supposed vertical.

The device 1 comprises a first container 2 made in the form of a tube formed by molding an elastically deformable plastic material, for example polyethylene. This first container is intended to contain a first product.

The tube comprises a body 3 and has a first lower end 4 closed by heat sealing along a line extending transversely to the longitudinal axis X-X 'and an open opposite end 5 forming a neck 6.

Indeed, at this end zone 5, the tube 2 is provided with a generally frustoconical shoulder E which extends from the peripheral wall of the tube to the neck 6.

The device 1 further comprises a second container 7 constituting a closure member to be mounted by screwing on a thread 8 formed on the outer peripheral surface of the neck 6. This second container is intended to contain a second product different from the first product.

In this regard, the closure member 7 comprises a shutter body 9 comprising a cylindrical outer peripheral skirt 10 of a shape complementary to that of the tube 2 so that in the assembly position, the outer peripheral wall of the body shutter extends in the extension of the wall of the tube 3.

The shutter body 9 further comprises, in the exemplary embodiment shown, a cylindrical inner skirt 11 internally provided with a thread 12 adapted to cooperate with the thread 8 of the neck 6.

The shutter member 7 is compartmentalized and comprises a first compartment 13, which is intended to contain the second product closed by a closure cover 14, and a second compartment 15 which receives the cover 14. However, as visible on the figure 4 the second product can be placed in a cup C carried by the body 9.

The first compartment 13 is provided with an opening which extends in a horizontal plane, that is to say perpendicular to the axis X-X '. The second compartment 15 is provided with an opening which extends in a vertical plane, that is to say parallel to the axis X-X '

The cover 14 is an applicator for taking and applying the second product.

Referring to the figure 3 , on which the closure member 7 is shown separately, the compartments 13 and 15 are arranged side by side. The shutter body 9 has a stepped upper end surface which delimits a first stage 16 and a second stage 16 '. The first floor is set back from the second floor, that is to say situated at a lower level. The first and second stages 16 and 16 'are separated, axially, by a distance corresponding generally to the thickness of the applicator 14. The compartments 13 and 15 are furthermore separated laterally by a wall element 17 standing vertically on the wall. interior of the shutter body 9 between two zones of the outer skirt 10 symmetrical with respect to a diameter of the skirt 10. In addition, the first compartment 13 is provided with a wall element 18 arranged transversely and recessed relative to at the end edge of the outer skirt 10 and the separating wall 17.

Thus, the wall element 18, the upper end zone of the outer skirt 10 and the dividing wall 17 define the first compartment 13.

In order to impart increased capacity to the second container 7, the separating wall 17 is off-axis so that the surface of the first stage 16 is larger than that of the second stage 16 '.

The stages 16 and 16 'are separated by an open section 19 through which the interior space of the second compartment 15 opens. This panel is erected vertically between the first and second compartments, perpendicularly to the plane of the opening of the first compartment 13. the volume 20 delimited, at the upper part, by the end surface of the shutter body 9 and, laterally, by the outer skirt 10 and the separating wall 17 constitutes a housing for receiving the applicator 14 in which the applicator is housed by a lateral sliding movement in the plane of the opening of the first compartment.

The applicator 14 comprises a handle 21 which carries an applicator member 22. The handle 21 has a shape complementary to that of the first stage 16 of the closure member 7 and can thus be constituted by a portion of ellipse or a portion of disk.

As regards the application member 22, it may be constituted by any suitable element for the intended use.

In the embodiment shown, the first product filling the tube 3 is constituted by a fluid product, while the second product filling the second compartment 13 is in the form of a compacted powder cake.

Also, the applicator member 22 may be constituted by a foam, a flocked applicator tip, a brush or a brush, or even a comb.

The applicator 14 constitutes a separable element of the closure member 7 in which it is mounted to close the first compartment 13.

In standby position, visible on the figure 2 in which the handle 21 closes the second container 13, the applicator member 22 fits into the volume 20 to be protected from dust or other soiling but also to avoid defiling objects or articles with which they could otherwise , come into contact. In order to obtain a reliable assembly, the handle 21 may be provided at the region from which the application member 22 extends, localized fingerprints, such as 23, in which snap corresponding reliefs 24 formed in the However, it will be noted that an effective assembly can also be obtained when the applicator is mounted in the shutter body 9 by friction.

In this position, the upper end surface and the peripheral wall of the handle 21 are flush with the upper end surface and the peripheral wall of the shutter body 9.

When it is desired to take and apply a dose of product from the second compartment 13, it is simply necessary to move in a lateral sliding movement the applicator 14 to release the applicator member 22 from the shutter body 9. This movement can easily be achieved by exerting a force by the thumb, reliefs 26 being provided in the upper surface 25 of the handle 21 to increase the grip.

After being cleared, the applicator can be used to apply the product.

As indicated above, the device which has just been described is particularly suitable for the packaging and application of two products, one of which is in a fluid form and the other in the form of a bread or compacted powder intended for cooperate.

Thus, for example, the compacted powder may contain anti-wrinkle active ingredients, while the product contained in the tube 3 is a water-rich emulsion. The powder contained in the second container 13 may first be applied by means of the applicator 14 in a localized manner on the wrinkles. Thanks to its texture, it remains visible after application so that the areas to which it is applied can be easily identified. Thanks to the applicator, the powder accumulates in the groove of wrinkles. After having applied the powder, the second compartment 13 is closed by means of the applicator. The closure member 7 is then unscrewed and a dose of emulsion is extracted from the bottle 3. The emulsion can then be applied by massage in the areas in which the powder has previously been applied. Thanks to the massage, the powder is evenly distributed. In addition, thanks to the wetting provided by the emulsion, combined with the massage, the active ingredients are released at the bottom of the wrinkle and the powder becomes invisible.

It should be noted that the invention is not limited to the embodiment described.

Indeed, in the embodiment described above with reference to Figures 1 to 4 , the first container is constituted by a tube with elastically deformable walls.

It is also possible to provide a pressurized container with a closure member provided with a second container, similar to the closure member described above.

Thus, in the variant shown in figure 5 , the packaging and dispensing device comprises a pressurized container 27 containing a product to be sprayed and a propellant gas and provided with a valve 28 fixed for example by crimping on a cup 29 crimped on the open upper end 30 of the body of the container.

As in the embodiment described above, the container 27 has a longitudinal axis X-X 'geometric corresponding to the general axis of symmetry of the body of the container.

In conventional manner, the valve 28 comprises a valve body 31 defining internally a chamber 32 in which is mounted axially displaceable a valve stem 33 between a closed position of the valve and an open position of the valve. A spring 34 biases the valve stem 33 in the closed position. The chamber 31 communicates with a plunger 35 which extends axially in the body of the container 27.

Furthermore, the valve is provided with a push button 36 which is provided with an internal channel 37 which communicates with a corresponding channel formed in the valve stem 33. The device visible on the figure 5 is further equipped with a cap 38 similar to the shutter member 7 described above with reference to the Figures 1 to 4 and has two parts 39 and 40 constituting one, a second container 41 for receiving a second product and the other a space 42 for receiving an applicator member 43, identical to the applicator of the figures 1 and 3 carried by a handle 44 of an applicator 45.

However, in the variant envisaged, the cap 38 is mounted on the first container 27 by snapping and is therefore devoid of inner skirt.

On the contrary, the cap 38 is provided with an outer skirt 46 internally provided with an annular bead 47 which snaps onto an annular relief 48 formed during the crimping of the cup 29 on the body 27 or carried by an intermediate piece .

According to yet another variant, visible on the Figures 6 and 7 the packaging and dispensing device comprises a first container 49 made in the form of a bottle formed by blowing a plastic material, for example polypropylene, which also contains a fluid product and which has an open upper end 50 provided with a neck 51 provided externally with a thread 52 and on which is mounted a conventional pump 53 for sampling the product filling the first container. The device also comprises a cap 54 which is screwed onto the thread 52 of the neck 51.

The bottle is also provided with a geometric axis X-X 'which extends perpendicular to the bottom of the bottle.

As represented in Figures 6 and 7 on which elements identical to those of Figures 1 to 3 have the same reference numbers, the cap 54 also comprises an outer peripheral skirt 10 of complementary shape to that of the container 49 and an inner skirt 11 provided with an internal thread adapted to cooperate with the thread 52 of the neck.

The inner skirt 11 delimits internally a housing 11 'shaped to receive and house the pump 53. This housing is delimited radially by the skirt 11 and axially by an upper wall element 18' which extends in the plane of the opening of the first compartment 13. The housings 13 and 15 are, in this embodiment, arranged on either side of the housing 11 '. In others In other words, the inner skirt is shifted transversely relative to the compartment 13 and the upper wall 18 'extends at an intermediate level between the bottom wall 18 of the first compartment and the upper wall of the second compartment and constitutes a bearing surface for the applicator 14.

It is also possible, alternatively, as visible on the Figures 8 and 9 , to configure the first container 55, in the form of a pot for containing a cream or a bread of cosmetic product and on which is screwed a cap similar to the shutter member described above with reference to Figures 1 to 4 but in which the inner and outer skirts are combined into a single skirt 57 provided with an internal thread 58 capable of cooperating with a thread 59 of the container 55. This reduces the volume of reception of the applicator member 22 its strict minimum further limiting the risk of contamination of the applicator member 22. In addition, in order to obtain a reliable assembly, the handle 21 of the applicator is provided at its opposite end to the applicator member. 22 of a projecting relief 60 provided with a hook-shaped end tooth, which is snapped into a corresponding recess 61 formed in the shutter body 9. Such an assembly snap-fastening the end of the handle could also be considered in the embodiments described above. In the assembled position, the upper end surface and the peripheral wall of the handle 21 are flush with the upper end surface and the peripheral wall of the obturator body.

In the various variants envisaged, the first container comprises a general axis X-X ', which extends along the length of the container or, in other words, transversely to a bottom wall or to a welding line provided in the background.

According to a characteristic of the invention, in these different embodiments, the applicator may be inserted at least partly in the second container to close the compartment containing the second product in a transverse movement, that is to say say perpendicular to the X-X 'axis.

In addition, in the embodiments illustrated in Figures 1 to 4 and 7 the first container may further be provided with an applicator, in the form of a perforated or generally applicative surface capable of passing the first product.

Finally, it will be noted that, thanks to the invention, according to which a first container is closed by a cap which carries a second container closed by an applicator movable in a lateral sliding movement, it is possible to have a handle that is easy to handle. applicator while maintaining a fine and precise tip and at a lower cost.

Note also that during use, the product is also taken by moving the applicator transversely relative to the second container. It is thus possible to position the container in the immediate vicinity of an area on which the product is to be applied while moving away and laterally shifting the hand from the application area, which provides good visibility, particularly when the surface is visualized through an ice.

Finally, it is conceivable that any risk of injury is eliminated insofar as the device, which uses a separable applicator to close the second container, does not have a hinged lid, which, in use, comes to annoy the user and risks scratching him.

The invention is however not limited to the embodiment described.

Indeed, it is not beyond the scope of the invention when the second container is configured to include a cover for forming a receiving housing of one or more applicators.

Representatives Figures 11 to 14 two embodiments of a device according to the invention wherein the second container is provided with such a lid.

We will first describe with reference to Figures 11 and 12 a first embodiment of such a device.

As can be seen in these figures, according to this variant, the device also comprises a first container 65 intended to contain a first product and a second container 66 for containing a second product.

The first container 65 has a first lower end 67 forming a bottom and an opposite end 68 provided with a neck 69 in which is mounted, for example by screwing, a conventional pump 70 provided with a dip tube 71 extending into the bottom of the container 65.

The second container 66 also constitutes a cap which is mounted, in the exemplary embodiment illustrated, by screwing on the neck 69.

For this purpose, as in the embodiment of the figure 7 , the cap 66 has an outer peripheral skirt 72 of complementary shape to that of the first container 65 and an inner skirt 73 provided with an internal thread adapted to cooperate with a thread 74 of the neck 69.

When the cap 66 is screwed onto the neck 69, the inner and outer skirts abut against an upper shoulder 75 of the first container 65, the inner skirt 73 constituting a hood covering the pump 70.

As we see on the figure 11 , the cap 66 is compartmentalized.

In other words, it comprises a first part 76 comprising one or more containers, for example a single container, as illustrated, for containing the second product, and a second part 77 intended to receive one or more applicators, for example a single applicator 78 as illustrated.

Indeed, the upper end surface of the cap 66 is stepped and comprises a central wall 79 and a peripheral transverse wall 80 axially offset from the transverse wall 79 so as to define the storage container of the second product.

The outer peripheral skirt 72 extends axially beyond the peripheral transverse wall to delimit a housing 77 in which the applicator 78 can be placed.

A cover 81, articulated by means of a hinge 82 between an open position, visible on the figure 11 , and a closed position, illustrated in figure 10 , comes close the housing 77 to preserve the applicator 78.

Note for this purpose that the free end of the outer peripheral skirt 72 is provided, on the opposite side to the hinge 82, a rim 84 forming a plate 86 which defines, with the peripheral transverse wall of the lid, a slot 87 allowing the insertion and guiding of an applicator 78 in a transverse movement, that is to say perpendicularly to the general axis XX 'of the first container 65.

Finally, note that, for example, the device is completed by means for holding and guiding the applicator in the housing 77. These holding means can be made in the form of a pin 88 erected from the wall peripheral of the upper end surface of the cover 66 and which is inserted into a cut 89 forming a hook formed in the applicator 78 to allow a centering of the applicator in the housing 77 while constituting a limit stop transverse displacement of the applicator.

The cover 81 is provided with a pin 90 which is inserted into a corresponding orifice formed in the applicator 78.

There will also be provided means for retaining the cover 81 in the closed position, for example in the form of latching means.

Referring now to Figures 13 and 14 , on which elements identical to those described with reference to Figures 11 and 12 have the same reference numerals, it is not beyond the scope of the invention when the cap 66 has several containers 76 and 76 'made in accordance with the teaching of the figure 11 , by providing a compartmentalized structure of the cap body 66.

Similarly, it is not beyond the scope of the invention when the upper part of the cap 66 defines, in the closed state of the cover 81, a housing capable of receiving two applicators 78 and 78 '.

Of course, in this case, the upper end surface of the cap 66 is provided with two pins 88 and 88 'which engage in two cutouts 89 and 89' respectively formed in the vicinity of one end of the applicators.

Likewise, provision will be made in each applicator of orifices 92 and 92 'in which are respectively engaged pins 90 and 90' carried by the inner face of the cover 81.

It will be noted that, as shown, this inner face may be provided with a mirror 93.

Likewise, it will be noted that in the embodiments of the Figures 10 to 14 , the first container may adopt a shape for example cylindrical, round base, oval or parallelepiped.

We will now describe, with reference to Figures 15 and 16 another embodiment of a product packaging and dispensing device according to the invention.

According to this embodiment, the device comprises a first container 94 provided with a closed bottom end 95 and an open opposite end 96 forming a neck. This container 94 also comprises, as in the various embodiments envisaged, a general geometric axis XX 'which extends perpendicular to the bottom 95 of the container and which constitutes, in the example shown, a general axis of axial symmetry for the container 94.

As seen, the container 94 has, internally, a housing 97 for receiving a product.

The device further comprises a cap 98 which has a peripheral wall 99 provided with an internal thread 100 intended to cooperate with a complementary thread 101 provided externally on the neck 96 of the container 94.

The device further comprises an applicator 102 which serves to take the product contained in the housing 97 and to apply it to the epidermis of a user.

According to the teaching of the invention, the applicator 102 and the cap 98 are shaped so that the applicator can be housed in a compartment 103 provided in the cap 98, the insertion and extraction movement of the applicator relative to the cap in a direction generally transverse, that is to say generally perpendicular to the general geometric XX 'axis of the container 94.

It can be seen that the cap 98 essentially comprises a body 103, made for example by molding, which comprises a bottom 104 and the peripheral skirt 99. At an intermediate level, that is to say between the bottom 104 and the thread 100, the cap 98 has a transverse wall 105, for example cardboard and force-fitted by clamping in the cap 98 to define the housing 106 for receiving the applicator 102.

The bottom 104 of the cap 98 also comprises an opening 107 allowing the applicator to be partially inserted into the housing 108. As can be seen, this opening is oriented generally transversely, with respect to the axis XX 'so that the insertion of the applicator takes place in a movement essentially comprising a transverse component.

The applicator comprises indeed a first portion 108 forming a handle and a second portion 109, formed by a brush, a foam, or the like, which is intended to be placed in the housing 106 between two uses.

In the vicinity of the opening, the cap 98 comprises an inclined seat 110 on which rest the handle 108 in the insertion position of the applicator in the cap. As we see on the figure 15 , the seat 110 has a bottom surface 111, extending generally transversely but substantially in an oblique direction, and an upright peripheral surface 112. In other words, the transverse surface 111 of the seat 110 constitutes a guide ramp of the seat 110. applicator against which the applicator slides during its insertion into the cap 98. The peripheral surface 112 then constitutes an abutment against which comes to bear a planar front surface 113 of the handle 108.

Note that the outer face of the handle 108 has a general shape complementary to that of the outer surface of the cap 98. Also, the outer surface of the handle 108 is flush with that of the cap to provide continuity to the assembly, an impression 114 being however made in the handle 108 to facilitate the extraction of the applicator.

Advantageously, it is possible to see cutouts at the bottom surface 111 of the seat 110 in order to make it possible to produce the cap at a lower cost.

In addition, provision will advantageously be provided for latching means for holding the applicator in the cap, made for example in the form of lugs, such as 115, formed in the seat 110, these lugs being intended to cooperate with corresponding notches made in the handle 108.

To use the device that has just been described, it is simply necessary to remove the cap 98, to extract the applicator 108 housing 106, in a generally transverse movement, that is to say in a generally perpendicular movement at the general axis of the cap 98, to take a dose of product by means of the applicator and to apply it on the epidermis. After use, the container 94 is closed and the applicator is inserted into the housing 106.

As in the various embodiments envisaged, the applicator can be easily extracted by a simple lateral sliding movement, which makes its handling particularly simple to perform.

Claims (29)

1. Device for packaging and dispensing products, in particular cosmetic products, comprising a first container (2; 27; 49; 55) for a first product, at least one second container (7; 38; 54; 56) for a second product, which is designed to be assembled removably to the first container, this second container comprising an opening to allow the second product contained in the second container to be taken up, and a product applicator (14; 45) configured in such a way as to be assembled removably to the second container so as to close off said opening, characterized in that the product applicator (14; 45) is assembled in such a way that it can move transversely with respect to a geometric longitudinal axis of the first and second containers.
2. Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the first container (2) consists of a tube having a first end (4) which is closed and an opposite end (5) which is open, forming a neck to which the second container is assembled.
3. Device according to Claim 2, characterized in that the neck of the tube and the second container comprise complementary screw threads (8, 12) for assembling the second container to the first container by screwing.
4. Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the first container consists of a pressurized container (27) with a dispensing valve (28), filled with a propellant gas.
5. Device according to Claim 4, characterized in that the first container and the second container comprise complementary snap-fastening means (47, 48).
6. Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the first container has pump or piston means (53) for dispensing the product.
7. Device according to any one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the second container comprises a compartmentalized body (9) delimiting a first compartment (13) and a second compartment (15), which are juxtaposed, the first compartment being designed to contain the second product and having a first opening extending substantially in a transverse plane with respect to the geometric axis of the second container, the second container having a second opening (19) extending in a plane perpendicular to the plane of the first opening so as to receive an applicator element (22) of the applicator.
8. Device according to Claim 7, characterized in that the end surface of the second container is stepped and comprises a first step (16) in which the first compartment is formed and a second step (16') in which the second compartment is formed.
9. Device according to one of Claims 7 and 8, characterized in that the applicator comprises a handle (21) to which the applicator element is secured, the handle (21) and the body (9) of the second container having complementary external shapes in such a way that when the applicator element is inserted in the second compartment, the external surface of the handle lies flush with the external surface of the body.
10. Device according to any one of Claims 7 to 9, characterized in that the body and the applicator are configured so that the applicator is fixed removably in the second compartment (15) by snap-fastening or friction.
11. Device according to any one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that it comprises a compartmentalized body which is designed to be assembled removably to the first container and which comprises a first part in which the or each second container (76) is or are made, and a second part in which the or each second container open(s) out and which comprises a housing (77) for the applicator.
12. Device according to Claim 11, characterized in that it comprises a cover (81) which can move with respect to the body between an open position in which the applicator is accessible from the outside and a closed position, and means for closing the cover, in particular by snap-fastening or friction.
13. Device according to Claim 12, characterized in that the applicator and the base of the housing comprise complementary means for holding the applicator in the second compartment.
14. Device according to Claim 13, characterized in that the holding means comprise at least one stud (90) provided in the cover and at least one corresponding hole made in the applicator, in which the stud engages when the cover is closed.
15. Device according to either of Claims 13 and 14, characterized in that the holding means comprise a stud (88) and a recess (89), one provided in the base of the second compartment and the other in the applicator.
16. Device according to any one of Claims 7 to 15, characterized in that the applicator element consists of a means selected from among a foam tip, a flocked applicator tip, a brush and a comb.
17. Device according to any one of Claims 1 to 16, characterized in that the second container (7; 38; 54; 56) is made as a single piece by moulding a plastic.
18. Device according to any one of Claims 1 to 17, characterized in that the first product is a cake of solid material.
19. Device according to any one of Claims 1 to 18, characterized in that the first container comprises an application surface through which the first product is dispensed.
20. Device according to any one of Claims 1 to 17, characterized in that the first product is a fluid product and the second product is a powder compact.
21. Device according to Claim 20, characterized in that the powder compact contains anti-wrinkle active ingredients.
22. Method for applying make-up using cosmetic products contained in a device for packaging and dispensing products which comprises a first container (2; 27; 49; 55) containing a first product, at least one second container (7; 38; 54; 56) containing a second product, which is designed to be assembled removably to the first container, this second container having an opening to allow the second product contained in the second container to be taken up, and a product applicator (14; 45) configured in such a way as to be assembled removably to the second container so as to close off said opening, the method comprising a step of applying the product contained in the second container, which consists in opening the second container and applying said product using the applicator, and a step of applying the first product, which consists in opening the first container and applying said first product, characterized in that the second container is opened by moving the product applicator by sliding it transversely with respect to a geometric longitudinal axis of the first and second containers.
23. Device for packaging and dispensing at least one product, in particular a cosmetic product, comprising at least one container (2; 27; 49; 55; 65; 94) for at least one product, a closure means for the container which is designed to be assembled removably to the container, and at least one product applicator (14; 45; 78; 102) configured in such a way as to be mounted removably, at least partially, in the closure means, characterized in that said at least one product applicator (14; 45; 78; 102) and the closure means are designed in such a way that said at least one applicator is mounted transversely in the closure means with respect to a geometric longitudinal axis of the container.
24. Device according to Claim 23, characterized in that the closure means for the container comprises a body having inside it a housing (77; 106) for receiving the applicator and an opening (87; 110) oriented generally transversely for the insertion of the applicator in the housing.
25. Device according to Claim 24, characterized in that the body of the closure means comprises applicator guide means.
26. Device according to Claim 25, characterized in that the guide means comprise a slope (110) extending towards the opening in the direction of the internal housing.
27. Device according to Claim 26, characterized in that the slope has snap-fastening means (115) for interacting with complementary snap-fastening means provided on the applicator.
28. Device according to any one of Claims 25 to 27, characterized in that the body comprises a stop (112) for limiting the movement of the applicator relative to the body, in the direction of insertion of the applicator into the housing.
29. Method for applying make-up using at least one cosmetic product contained in a packaging and dispensing device which comprises at least one container (2; 27; 49; 55; 65; 94) for at least one product, a closure means for the container which is designed to be assembled removably to the container, and at least one product applicator (14; 45 ; 78 ; 102) configured in such a way as to be mounted removably, at least partially, in the closure means, the method comprising a step of opening the container and applying the product using the applicator, characterized in that the applicator is removed from the closure means by sliding it transversely with respect to a geometric longitudinal axis of the first and second containers.
