Definitions
- the invention relates to a push-pull container closure according to claim 1 and a method for producing such a container closure according to claim 9.
- drinks such as "smart water” or “vitamin water” are also available. These are usually drinks based on ordinary drinking water, but enriched with additives such as flavorings, colorants, vitamins and the like to increase the attractiveness or functionality.
- the containers and bottles used for this purpose are usually also transparent or at least translucent, so that the color assigned to a particular fruit or flavor note, for example, is also clearly recognizable.
- beverage bottles for sports drinks products are preferred, which are suitable for one-handed operation.
- beverage bottles with so-called "push-pull" shutters.
- Such beverage closures can not only be opened easily, but closed after use with a simple thumb pressure again.
- Container closures of this kind are therefore increasingly in demand.
- the EP-1 025 014 describes such a "push-pull" closure for a sports beverage container.
- This container closure has a sheath which is adapted to be attached to a container opening of a container.
- the shell has a shell opening with a tip from which it is possible to drink.
- the tip slidably mounted on the sheath can be reciprocated between a closed position that seals the sheath opening and an open position that clears the sheath opening.
- Enriched drinks of the type described are usually already mixed ready brought into the trade.
- beverage additives often contain vitamins.
- Individual vitamins, such as vitamin C have the property that they are relatively quickly destroyed or greatly reduced in content, for example, by the action of heat, UV radiation or compound with oxygen. Therefore, sensitive vitamins should sensibly be added to the beverage just before use.
- transparent or translucent beverage containers are often unsuitable for the long term storage of vitamin beverage.
- the DE-87 09 336-U1 describes a bottle cap with container for a second drink and a mixing device.
- this bottle closure which is not designed as a drinking cap, a liquid A and a liquid B are separated by a film. A thorn serves to puncture the film.
- the user can achieve a mixing of the liquids A and B by simply pressing from the top of the upper part of the closure. For a beverage extraction in this device, the upper part of the closure must then be completely removed. Thus, this bottle cap is unsuitable for one-handed operation.
- the DE-44 10 323-A1 finally shows a cap for a contained in a container, in particular a so-called injection bottle, pharmaceutical product. Again, this is not a drinking cap.
- a receiving space for a second component is provided here, which is supplied to the pharmaceutical product in the container before use.
- a partition wall is broken by means of a cutting mandrel connected in one piece with the screw cap. For the removal of the substance but also in this solution, the lid must then be completely removed.
- this container closure for one-handed operation is unsuitable.
- the US 2004 / 011,679 shows a container closure with a number of selectively operable additive dispensing means.
- a plurality of pressure stamps which can be actuated by depressions are arranged on the periphery thereof.
- 'plungers' By pressing one of these plunger is a trained as a metal foil and apparently belonging to the container closure pierces seal and released in a cavity under the respective plunger additive.
- the controls for the container closure ('push-pull' central closure) and for the additive addition functionally and arrangement moderately separated.
- powdered, granulated or solid substances eg tablets
- the solution shown is unsuitable for liquid additives, because it would cause unresolved sealing problems in the punches due to their simple sliding guides.
- the same disclosure also shows a variant with blister-like chambers instead of printing stamps.
- blister-like chambers instead of printing stamps.
- this also means that it needs a solid blister chamber content and that liquid contents are not an option.
- the blistering chamber volumes available for additives in common additive applications such as e.g. Liquid vitamin concentrates anyway much too small.
- the US-6,230,884 shows a container closure with a releasable tablet chamber.
- a centrally located 'push-pull' closure has a tip and a tablet chamber formed beneath this tip and formed from a foil.
- the film of the tablet chamber is broken by the operation (depression) of the tip, whereby the additive is released.
- the first depression causes the release of the additive and at the same time closes the push-pull closure.
- the controls for the Container closure 'push-pull' central closure
- the tablet chamber is also placed as not in the container closure, separate and replaceable component each on the container opening.
- the WO2006 / 050538 A1 shows a container closure, in which a displaceably mounted shaft in a downward movement penetrates a closure element or deformed and thus allows the escape of an additive into the filling region of the container.
- a movably movable cap Arranged in the upper region of the shaft is a movably movable cap which can be moved in the opposite direction to the shaft after the shaft has reached its working position and thus allows the container contents to exit via provided channels.
- a disadvantage of this closure is that the shaft is formed in one piece and the device is therefore subject to a complicated manufacturing process. This is especially true when the shaft has a peripheral broadening at the outer shaft end.
- the shows US2004 / 0155061 a dispenser for a bottle, whereby the dispenser can be fixed in the area of the bottle opening.
- the dispenser discloses a self-contained additional space that can be opened by means of a penetrable closure element.
- a displaceably mounted piston is used for penetrating or piercing the closure element.
- the piston is made in one piece and can, against a cap arranged displaceably to the piston, be moved in the direction of the closure element, whereupon this closure element pierced and the contents of the additional space can get into the bottle body.
- the dispenser is subject, similar to the container closure of the WO2006 / 05053 a complex manufacturing process, which is due to the integrally formed piston.
- the object is therefore to improve a container with a so-called "push-pull" closure of simple design in a manner that sensitive to environmental influences liquid active ingredients in sufficient quantity may already be contained in the closure, and that these active ingredients immediately before Use the container contents are easily admixed.
- a simple method for producing such a container closure should be specified.
- a tear-open or pierceable closure film is attached to the sealing lip, whereby an additional space densely partitioned in the interior of the shell part or of the container is provided Container closure arises.
- the desired active substance such as a vitamin concentrate
- the shell part is also arranged displaceably a mandrel with a tearing and puncture device, wherein by actuation of the mandrel, the sealing foil can be torn open or is pierceable, whereby the substance present in the additional space can get into the container.
- the mandrel can be very easily operated by pressing down.
- one of the advantages achieved is the simplicity of the device according to the invention in that the mandrel (9) is arranged centrally and concentrically with the sliding part (6). This is also reflected in the fact that even self-made "push-pull" locks can be retrofitted because of the basic design of the shell part, with the exception of a mandrel opening at the front end of the shell part - with this mandrel opening usually also be retrofitted can - no changes are required.
- the invention is also suitable both for the incorporation of an additive of liquid as well as of powdery consistency.
- the often used vitamin supplements are mostly of a syrupy consistency.
- the shell part can additionally be provided with a tamper proof indication.
- the container closure may additionally have a safety cap. This can serve to avoid contamination in the discharge or drinking opening as well as unintentional operation of the mandrel. Of course, other precautions could be taken to avoid the latter, for example cuff-type, easily wegdschreibbare parts.
- this is advantageously carried out as a coated metal foil, wherein the coating may be either a paint or a plastic.
- the coating may be either a paint or a plastic.
- a suitable heat welding method such as induction welding, may be used to bond the sealing film to the sealing lip.
- the tear-open and puncture device is also advantageously provided with a multiplicity of elongated, substantially star-shaped tear-open edges. This has the effect that the tearing or piercing effect on the sealing film is achieved over a large area and not only at points, because otherwise only a slow and insufficient mixing could take place, in particular when using viscous or pulverulent additives.
- the preferred method for producing a container closure according to the invention consists in the fact that in a generic "push-pull" closure, first the mandrel is introduced from the side of the outflow opening, while the ripping and puncturing device is introduced from the other side and the two Parts are then plugged together or mutually connected. Then, the proposed substance is introduced into the additional space and then the closure film is placed on the sealing lip of the shell part and connected to the same liquid-tight or welded.
- this production method is generally also suitable for retrofitting push-pull fasteners. Retrofitting could only be problematic if the contact surface on the sealing lip is insufficiently large to ensure a sealing connection between the sealing film and the sealing lip.
- the Fig. 1 shows a shell part 1 of a container closure 2 according to the invention in a side view, a plan view and a section along a line AA.
- the container closure 2 is attachable to a (not shown) container opening.
- the container opening has a circularly projecting web (also not shown), this web projecting between an outer wall 3 and a sealing lip 4 likewise arranged in a circular manner on the shell part 1.
- a sealing between the container and the container closure 2 takes place via the sealing lip 4.
- the shell part 1 also has a front part 5 with an outflow opening 5.
- the Fig. 2 shows the shell part 1 according to Fig. 1 in a 3-D view.
- the Fig. 3 shows a container closure 2 according to the invention in a side view, a plan view and a section along the line AA.
- a sliding part 6 is axially displaceable placed on the shell part 1.
- the sliding part 6 is shown here in the position in which the outflow opening 5 is closed.
- the sliding part 6 is designed so that it can be pressed in enclosing the container closure 2 with one hand, with one or two fingers and closed again with at least one finger. This is called the so-called "push-pull" function.
- a tear-open and / or pierceable closure film 7 is attached at the sealing lip 4 .
- additional space 8 which is tightly partitioned relative to the container contents is formed in the interior of the shell part 1 facing the sliding part. It should be clear that the thus resulting divided additional space 8 is only closed to the outside when the sliding part 6, as in the Fug. 3, the outflow opening 5 closes.
- a substance (not shown) can be introduced.
- a mandrel 9 with a tear-open and puncture device 10 is also axially displaceable in the shell part 1 attached.
- the sealing film 7 can be opened and / or pierced by means of the tear-open and puncture device 10.
- the tearing and puncturing device 10 is - as long as the closure film 7 is still intact - thus in the additional space 8. With actuation of the mandrel 9 (pressing against the sealing film and tearing the same) can thus before the attachment of the sealing film 7 in the additional space introduced substance into the container and mix there with the container contents.
- the additional space 8 is designed for the storage of a substance of liquid or powdery consistency. Vitamin supplements for drinks are often syrupy, relatively thick consistency.
- the closure film 7 must ensure a liquid and ideally also gas-tight as possible closure of the additional space 8. Highly gastight closures are particularly desirable in carbonated beverage applications. Therefore, the sealing film 7 is preferably a coated metal foil, wherein the coating may be either a paint or a plastic. This then facilitates the tight connection of the sealing film 7 with the sealing lip 4 of the shell part 1, which is usually also made of plastic. In these cases, a suitable heat welding method, such as induction welding, may be used to bond the sealing film 7 to the sealing lip 4.
- the suitability of the container closure according to the invention for the incorporation of substances of liquid or powdery consistency, in particular also those substances with high sensitivity to environmental influences, such as the vitamin supplements mentioned, is of course substantially supported by the use of suitable materials.
- the material of which the shell part 1 and the sliding part 6 are made should be completely opaque to UV radiation in order to protect the radiation-sensitive constituents from premature destruction or alteration.
- the mandrel 9 and the tearing and puncturing device 10 are advantageously designed to be plugged together connectable.
- a mating or snap-in connectivity can be accomplished by those skilled in the art known mechanical design of the parts can be achieved.
- the mandrel 9 cam-like latching elements 11 which fit into resiliently expandable receiving parts 12 of the tear and puncture device 10.
- the tear-open and puncture device 10 preferably has a multiplicity of elongate tear-open edges 13, in order to achieve the widest possible tear-open or puncture effect.
- the elongated tear-open edges 13 cause the tear or piercing effect on the closure film 7 over a large area and not only selectively, because otherwise, especially when using viscous or powdery additives may be only a slow and insufficient mixing in the container.
- the container closure 2 may additionally have further constituents.
- a tear-off safety ring 14 stamper proof ring
- a safety cap 15 may be present on the shell part 1 and over the sliding part 6 and the mandrel 9. This can serve to avoid contamination in the region of the outflow opening 5 or drinking opening and also unintended actuation of the mandrel 9.
- other precautions could be taken to avoid the latter, for example sleeve-like, easily removable parts around the externally visible part of the mandrel 9.
- the Fig. 4 shows the container closure 2 according Fig. 3 in a 3-D view.
- Fig. 5 shows the tearing and puncturing device 10 with the mandrel 9 in a side view, a plan view and a 3-D representation.
- the tearing edges 13 are preferably arranged in a star shape. In this case, three tear edges 13 are provided, but it can also be provided a different number.
- the preferred method for producing a container closure according to the invention is that in a generic "push-pull" closure (ie in a container closure with at least one shell part 1 and a sliding part 6 seated thereon) first the mandrel 9 comes from the side of the outflow opening 5 introduced, while the tearing and puncturing device 10 brought from the other side and the two parts (9,10) are then put together or mutually connected. After having ensured that the sliding part 6 closes the outflow opening 5, the proposed substance is introduced into the additional space 8 and then the closure film 7 is placed on the sealing lip 4 of the shell part 1 and connected to the same liquid-tight or welded. The container closure 2 according to the invention is then ready to be attached to a container.
- a user of a bottle equipped with the container closure according to the invention will first remove the safety cap 15.
- the mandrel 9 is pressed firmly down.
- the tear-open and puncture device 10 pierces and tears open the closure foil 7 and the liquid vitamin supplement can run out of the additional space 8 into the container.
- the user can usually check the result of his action directly.
- the must Users only press the sliding part 6 (or raise) to release the outflow opening 5.
- the bottle can then be sealed again by means of the sliding part 6.
- the mandrel 9 can of course remain in the depressed position after its actuation. The drinking processes are so hindered in any way, since the end of the mandrel can be constructively designed so that it forms in the pressed state only a barely perceptible and no longer disturbing small elevation in the center area.
