Definitions
- the present invention relates to a label for sealing a transition between axially different cross sections, and to a coaxial arrangement of two separable bodies, the transition of which is sealed with such a label.
- An example of the sealing of a transition between axially different cross sections is the sealing of a container with a sealing cap with an outer diameter that is different from the rest of the container.
- Another example is the sealing of a syringe arrangement with a syringe body and a protective cap placed on the syringe body. The latter often has a much smaller circumference than the syringe body.
- the sealing must ensure that the syringe arrangement remains closed by means of the protective cap until it is used, or that it can be seen from an undamaged sealing that the syringe arrangement has so far remained closed. However, if the seal is damaged, this is an indication that the protective cap may have been opened in the meantime. The syringe arrangement must then no longer be used, since the needle covered by the protective cap could be contaminated or even manipulation of the filling of the syringe body could have taken place.
- seals for container arrangements should also provide clear proof of opening to ensure that the contents of the container are not was manipulated.
- sealing thus fulfills a highly safety-relevant function.
- shrink label As an alternative in the cases mentioned, sealing with a shrink label (sleeve label) would be a good idea, which is drawn over the transition to be sealed and then shrunk on under the influence of heat.
- the geometry of the label adapts itself in that the shrink film, from which it is made, contracts as much as the given geometry of the body to be sealed allows.
- sealing with a shrink label can be problematic.
- the choice of material is severely restricted, since only films with the corresponding shrink properties can be used.
- sealing with a shrink label is often already prohibited because of the heat required to trigger the shrinking process, since many active pharmaceutical ingredients are extremely sensitive to heat.
- the present invention is based on the object of creating a label for securely sealing a transition between axially different cross sections, in particular the transition between a syringe body and an associated protective cap, which can be applied without the action of heat and yet without wrinkles.
- Mechanical dispensing should also be possible.
- the present invention is also based on the object of providing a coaxial arrangement of two bodies which can be separated from one another and having cylindrical and / or prismatic and / or conical regions, the bodies having different cross sections in the region of their transition from one another, in particular to provide an arrangement having a syringe body and protective cap, which has a secure seal of the transition between the bodies.
- the present invention has for its object to provide a method for sealing a coaxial arrangement of two separable bodies with cylindrical and / or prismatic and / or conical areas, which have different cross-sections in the area of their transition to one another, which is easy to automate and enables safe sealing at low cost without warping and with the least possible reject production.
- cylindrical and / or prismatic also designates geometries approximating these shapes, i.e. essentially all bodies with axially parallel surface lines at least in sections.
- the object is achieved by a label according to claim 1.
- Advantageous embodiments of the invention can be designed according to one of claims 2-19.
- the first support part is intended to be arranged on one of the bodies to be sealed
- the second support part is intended to be arranged on the other of the bodies to be sealed.
- the support parts are connected to one another only by means of a small (in relation to these) transition part, so that there is an extensive separation between the support parts and the different length development of the label is dealt with during the labeling of the different sizes. This means that the tensile forces that are effective when dispensing are largely decoupled.
- the surface area of the transition part is preferably less than half, particularly preferably less than a quarter, of at least the larger of the two support parts, preferably each of the support parts.
- the solution according to the invention is simple and inexpensive. Proof of opening can be integrated into the label that is usually required anyway. Conventional labeling devices for the user, for example a pharmaceutical company, can continue to be used without an additional operation being required.
- the most common film materials are suitable as materials for the base layer, in particular conventional plastic films (e.g. PET), single- and multi-layer designs are conceivable.
- PET plastic films
- a base layer made of paper is also possible.
- the decoupling between the support parts can be improved by suitable punchings and / or slits in the transition part. These punchings or slits can also facilitate the defined tearing when unsealing. For this purpose, punched lines that are curved or kinking and crossing are particularly suitable. The defined tearing can also be improved by perforations.
- the label shape chosen according to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention in which the first and the second support part are offset from one another are arranged so that a "virtual rectilinear extension of the first support part of infinite length does not overlap with the second support part in the longitudinal direction of the label beyond the transition part, ensures that when properly applied each support part rests only on one of the bodies to be sealed and
- the longitudinal direction corresponds to the intended application of the tangential direction of the body to be labeled and thus usually the dispensing direction.
- first and the second support part are arranged offset to one another in such a way that a
- Support part at most partially, preferably only slightly (on less than one
- One third of the length of one of the support parts, particularly preferably less than a quarter of the length of one of the support parts) or does not overlap, has particular advantages when attaching the label: the support parts form one when
- the transverse direction corresponds to the axial direction of the body to be labeled.
- the object is achieved by an arrangement according to claim 20.
- Advantageous embodiments of the invention can be designed according to one of claims 21-25.
- the object is achieved by a method according to claim 26.
- Advantageous embodiments of the method according to the invention can be designed according to one of claims 27-30.
- the support parts to be applied on the bodies to be sealed are at least partially offset in time from one another, so that the method can be implemented simply by machine without warping of the label at the transition due to the different cross-sectional configurations of the bodies to be sealed.
- An extensive force decoupling of the dispensing process on one body from the dispensing process on the other body is achieved. Labels in one of their different configurations are provided particularly advantageously for the method.
- Fig. 1 shows a. Arrangement of syringe body and protective cap, which is to be sealed with a label according to the invention, in a perspective view.
- FIG. 2a shows the arrangement from FIG. 1, in which a label according to the invention is applied, indicated in dashed lines in a perspective representation.
- FIG. 2b shows the label from FIG. 2a in a planar representation, virtual straight-line extensions of a support part being indicated with thin dashed lines, and an arrow indicating the preferred direction of dispensing.
- FIG. 3 shows a label similar to Fig. 2a, which has kinked punch lines in the transition part.
- FIG. 4 shows a label designed similarly to FIG. 3, which differs from FIG. 3 in that it has differently designed punch lines.
- FIG. 5 shows a label in which the two support parts run largely next to each other in the longitudinal direction, and punched lines which are bent in the transition part are provided.
- FIG. 6 shows a label designed similarly to FIG. 5, which differs from FIG. 5 in that intersecting punch lines are provided.
- FIG. 7 shows a label designed similarly to FIGS. 2a-4, which has a grip tab in one support part and a scale print in the other support part.
- Fig. 9 shows a label similar to Fig. 8, but in which a support part is designed in an arc shape to be glued to a conical body.
- the syringe arrangement shown in FIG. 1 has a syringe body 100 with a syringe needle 101, which is covered by the protective cap 102 arranged coaxially with the syringe body 100 with an annular projection 103.
- the syringe plunger is not shown.
- Hidden lines are only partially shown and indicated by dashed lines. Such an arrangement is achieved by sealing the transition between syringe body 100 and protective cap 102 with a label according to the invention to an arrangement according to the invention, as shown in FIG. 2a.
- the syringe arrangement from FIG. 1 is only indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 1 for the sake of clarity.
- the first support part 1 and the second support part 2 are connected to one another via the narrow transition part 3 and thus largely decoupled from one another.
- Each of the support parts 1, 2 extends over the majority of the circumference of the respective body on which it rests.
- An all-round arrangement, ie an overlap of both or one of the support parts 1, 2 with itself is also possible.
- the two support parts 1, 2 are arranged offset from one another both in the longitudinal and in the transverse direction. This is illustrated by an extension (indicated horizontally in the drawing) and widening (vertical in the drawing) of the first support part 1.
- the first support part 1 When dispensing in the (longitudinal) direction indicated by the arrow 4, the first support part 1 thus acts as the leading part and the second supporting part 2 as the trailing part.
- the support parts 1, 2 each run onto one of the bodies 100, 102 to be sealed. In principle, donation is also possible in the opposite direction.
- the preferred dispensing direction (longitudinal direction) is also in the transverse direction of the drawing sheet, i.e. horizontal.
- FIGS. 3 and 4 which are largely designed analogously to the label from FIG. 2b, have punched lines 5 with curvatures in the region of the transition part 3. These contribute to the decoupling of the support parts 2, 3 from one another and also enable the label to be torn at a defined point by rotating the bodies sealed with the label relative to one another.
- FIGS. 5 and 6 also have punched lines 5 in the transition part 3. Defined tearing is promoted by the kinking (FIG. 5) or crossing (FIG. 6) course of the punched lines 5.
- the embodiment shown in FIG. 7 has a largely transparent base layer in the area of the first support part 1.
- the printed scale 6 on the first support part 1 can thus serve as a metering aid if it is glued to a transparent syringe body 100 or another transparent container.
- the second support part 2 has a grip tab 7, on the underside of which the adhesive force of the pressure-sensitive adhesive coating is eliminated or reduced.
- a void film structure is provided as proof of the first opening in the area of the second support part 2, which in itself is like conventional void films can be built. By lifting the grip tab 7, the void film structure splits parallel to the label level (drawing level) and a void lettering 8 appears.
- Fig. 8 shows a label according to the invention, in which the transition part 3 is designed as a constriction of the label contour.
- the label in FIG. 9 is similarly designed for this, the arch shape of the second support part 2 being modeled on the development of a truncated cone in order to be glued to a conical body.
- FIGS. 2a-9 Imprints that are usually provided and characterize the contents of the arrangements to be sealed are not shown in FIGS. 2a-9.
