Claims (9)

  1. A locking device for a swinging door, window or french window, comprising in combination a mushroom rail (3) and two pivoting elements (4, 5) designed to cooperate with the said mushroom rail (3) to capture it on closing the door leaf (2) and release it (3) on opening the door leaf (2), characterised in combination in that the mushroom rail (3) is formed on a profile designed to be mounted in a fixed joinery frame (1) and in that the pivoting elements (4, 5) comprise profiles each having a leading chamfer.
  2. The device according to claim 1, characterised in that each pivoting element (4 or 5) is integral with its pivot axis in the frame (2) of the door leaf.
  3. The device according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that each pivoting element (4 or 5) comprises an end for cooperating with at least one locking wedge (B) attached to a locking element (11).
  4. Device according to claim 3, characterised in that the locking element (11) is mounted rotatably on a hinge pin (14) and is prestressed by a spring (11a) in locking position.
  5. Device according to claim 4, characterised in that the locking element (11) supports a sliding element (10) for controlling the rotation of the locking element (11).
  6. Device according to claim 3 or claim 4, characterised in that the locking wedge (B) attached to a locking element (11) is released from the pivoting elements (4 and 5) by means (9, 10) moved into cooperation by manoeuvring a lever or door handle (8).
  7. Device according to claim 3 or claim 4, characterised in that the locking wedge (B) attached to a locking element (11) is released from pivoting elements (4 or 5) by means moved into cooperation by a cylinder bit (15) controlled by a key.
  8.
