Description

The present invention relates to a door with vertical opening having a flexible curtain capable of occupying a closed position or an opening position by folding up to a desired height having a curtain comprising two flexible screens defining an air mattress making thermal or sound insulation. These doors, thanks to the additional thermal and sound insulation they provide compared to single screen doors, are particularly suitable for closing building bays giving onto the outside, in particular to delimit an area subject to wind, bad weather and large temperature differences. These doors can also be used to delimit two zones, one of which has a high noise level. The structure of these doors can consist of horizontal bars held together by cables or by straps. Horizontal strips of flexible fabric, generally PVC, are attached to these bars to form on each side thereof two screens which delimit an air mattress. The strips are fixed in the usual way, by bolting, on each side of the structure thus defined. The assembly of these doors is therefore quite tedious. It requires highly qualified staff and is time consuming. In addition, this type of door has a serious drawback in that the tightness between the screens and the vertical uprights of the door turns out to be very imperfect. Indeed, we see that the strips of fabric tend to form a fold and yawn. In other words, since the distance between the horizontal bars is fixed by cables or by belts, the strips of fabric, in particular depending on the temperature conditions, can relax and form a yawn, and therefore do not press against the amount of the door. This yawn is obviously disastrous for the good insulation that the door is supposed to create. There are also doors with two parallel screens in which the horizontal bars include grooves of trapezoidal or teardrop section in which the horizontal edges of the strips of fabric are engaged. Doors of this type also have drawbacks since there is a discontinuity of the screen at the end of the horizontal bars. Indeed, in these areas the plating against the uprights is nonexistent. Furthermore, the introduction of the strips of fabric into the teardrop-shaped grooves can be quite difficult, especially in the case of very wide doors. Document FR-A-2 769 944 also discloses a door in which the means for pulling the screen are isolated from the outside. If this document provides a watertightness of the traction means, it is however completely silent on the management of the lateral tightness between a screen and the jambs of a door. The invention aims to provide a double screen door delimiting an air mattress, while being simple to implement, while having a great seal. In a manner known per se, this door comprises two lateral uprights, a transverse box connecting the upper ends of the two uprights and a movable curtain between a closed position in which it closes the opening formed by the uprights and the box and a position of opening in which it is folded under the box. According to the invention, the door comprises a curtain made up of two parallel screens delimiting an air mattress, suspended at the level of the upper zone of the uprights, the curtain comprising: - at least one lifting strap connecting the lower part of the curtain to a shaft mounted at the level of the box, - and at least one transverse stiffening means attached to each of the screens, the lateral edges of each screen coming into contact with the uprights to form a sealed surface surface contact. The basic idea underlying the invention consists, in a double screen curtain, of placing stiffening bars in sleeves formed in each screen so that the inner face of each of the two outer faces of the double screen is flat and is always stretched in the closed position so that, coming against a slide formed in the vertical uprights, a surface contact is formed which provides total sealing of the air mattress formed between the two screens. The curtain, moreover, can be entirely factory made then simply mounted on the final site. Advantageously, the sleeves of each of the screens are opposite two by two. To increase the curtain inertia module and therefore improve its resistance, especially when the door is exposed to the wind, at least one pair of two stiffening bars, engaged in two sleeves facing each other, has at least a spacer connecting said bars. Advantageously, the spacer has an opening for the passage of the lifting strap. According to an advantageous possibility, at least two pairs of braced stiffening bars alternate with at least one pair of unbraced stiffening bars, so that, in the raised position of the curtain, alternating folding folds are formed symmetrically with respect to the plane door opening. For sealing the door at its lower edge, the lower part of the curtain, formed by the junction fold of the two screens, receives a flexible element constituted by a flexible sheath containing a flexible material. According to one possibility, the flexible element is constituted by a flexible bar comprising a foam-sheathed spring. According to one embodiment, the ends of each stiffening bar are provided with guide elements relative to each of the uprights. Preferably, the stiffening bars have a flexibility allowing to absorb an abnormal shock to go out, to disengage or to disapply from the slides without undergoing permanent deformation so that the curtain is not damaged during a collision for example with a vehicle. Advantageously, the flexible bar retained in the junction fold of the two screens, the lower pair of braced bars and the pair of consecutive non-braced bars are at distances such that, in the raised position of the curtain, the flexible bar protrudes from the folds formed by each screen folded so that in the event of a collision with the curtain, contact is made with the flexible bar rather than with a stiffening bar. According to one possibility, each screen is made up of a multilayer complex. In an advantageous embodiment, each screen has, at the same height, at least one transverse panel made of transparent material. According to an alternative, between two pairs of cross bars, each screen is provided with at least one shape memory bender which can form a fold towards the outside of the curtain in the folded position thereof. Regarding the curtain, according to one possibility, it is formed in a single element of flexible material and then is folded back on itself to form two screens. According to another possibility, each screen comprises at least two panels of transverse flexible material connected by a sheath. Advantageously, the ends of each stiffening bar of a pair of non-braced bars are provided with a guide tip having a flat part oriented in the plane of the screen in which the bar is located. According to one possibility, a spacer connects the ends of a pair of bars and supports a roller capable of engaging between two slides formed in each of the vertical uprights. In addition, provision may be made for filling nozzles to be engaged at the end of each of the bars to avoid the formation of folds. According to a possible embodiment of the stiffening means of the flexible screens, a cable is engaged in at least one sleeve, the ends of which are guided relative to the vertical uprights. For a good understanding of the invention is described with reference to the attached drawing showing by way of nonlimiting example an embodiment of a door according to it. Figure 1 shows in perspective a double screen door according to the invention. Figure 2 is a section of the curtain constituting the door; Figure 3 and 4 is a sectional view of the door at an amount thereof. Referring to the drawing, it can be seen that the door comprises two lateral uprights 2 connected at their upper ends by a box 3. Box 3 can also be called crosspiece. To close the opening delimited by the uprights and the box, the door comprises a flexible curtain 10 which can be folded up in the upper part of the door, that is to say under the box 3, to allow the passage of people or of vehicles through it. As shown in Figure 1, the curtain 10 consists of two parallel screens 1 1 a, 1 1 b. These two screens 1 1 a, 1 1 b define an air mattress which gives the door great sound and thermal insulation. In the example shown in the drawing, each screen 1 1 a, 1 1 b consists of panels 12 of flexible material; it can be transparent or opaque PVC. As can be seen in FIG. 2 between two consecutive panels 12, two superimposed strips 13 are welded to each of the panels 12 and thus form a sheath 15. In the example shown, each of the screens 1 1 a, 1 1 b has four equidistant sleeves; the number of sleeves 15 depends of course on the height of the door. Inside each sleeve 15, a stiffening bar 16 is engaged. This stiffening bar 16 is made of flexible material which can be a pultruded composite. The sleeves 15 of each screen 1 1 are arranged such that the stiffening bars 16 are two by two placed at the same height to form a pair of stiffening bars. It should also be noted that certain stiffening bars 16 of the same pair are connected by two spacers 18. The assembly formed by these two braced bars 16 thus has a high inertia module. The pairs of braced and non-braced bars 16 are alternated. The raising of the curtain is controlled by two lifting straps 20. One end of each strap is connected to a shaft 19 fixed in the box 3 of the door and the other end of which is connected to the pair of the lowest braced stiffening bars. It is specified that the spacers 18 connecting the stiffening bars located above the lowest braced pair are provided with an opening 21 allowing the passage of a lifting strap 20. Furthermore, the curtain 10 is provided at the junction fold of the two screens 1 1 a, 1 1 b with a flexible bar 22 which may consist of a spring sheathed in absorbent foam. Figures 3 and 4 illustrate the manner in which the guidance of the end of the stiffening bars can be done according to an embodiment of the invention relative to the side uprights 2. First, we note that the uprights 2 themselves have two parallel slides 24 and 25. Referring first to Figure 3, we see that the guide tips 28 are fitted into each of the bars 16 of stiffening. These end pieces 28 have a cylindrical part 29 whose diameter corresponds to the internal diameter of the stiffening bars, which allows the engagement of the end pieces in the stiffening bars. The cylindrical part of the endpiece is extended by a frustoconical part 30 which itself is extended into a flat part 31. The end pieces 28 are engaged in the stiffening bars with an orientation such that the flat part 31 is in the plane of each screen. Thus the contact between each stiffening bar bears against the outer face of the slides 24, 25 by means of the end pieces which provide surface contact against the latter. Figure 4 shows in section the guide of a pair of stiffening bars connected by spacers. At the end of the two stiffening bars, a spacer 33 secures the latter. Note that the strip 13 constituting the inner wall of the sleeve 15 has a cutout allowing the spacer 33 to assume the junction with the stiffening bars 16. As can be seen, the spacer 33 supports a roller 32 whose diameter is slightly less than the distance separating the slides 24 and 25. It is further noted that filling tips 34 are engaged in the ends of the stiffening bars 16 which prevent the formation of folds at the end of the bars 16. In operation, the door behaves as follows: When the curtain 10 is in the closed position, the interior faces of each screen 1 1 a 1 1 b are applied against the rails of the uprights as can be seen in Figure 3 or in Figure 4 thanks in particular to the guide elements , namely end piece 28 and roller 32. This is made possible by the fact that the stiffening bars 16 are contained in each screen 1 1 a, 1 1 b. This flat and continuous contact of the lateral edges of each screen against the uprights gives the door a remarkable seal while benefiting from a curtain which has good resistance to bad weather and, especially to the wind, thanks to the numerous stiffening bars 16. As regards the sealing of the lower edge of the door, this is obtained by the flexible bar 22 which forms a surface contact with the ground. When the curtain 10 is in the raised position thanks to the action of the straps 20 which are wound around the shaft 21, folds are formed symmetrically on each side of the door opening plane. It should be noted that these folds are systematically formed in each screen 1 1 a, 1 1 b thanks to the weight of the non-braced stiffening bars themselves located in each screen 1 1 a, 1 1 b. Thus, even in the case of a door exposed to a strong wind, the risk of forming a fold between the two screens 1 1 a, 1 1 b is practically eliminated. The invention thus provides a door having the many advantages indicated. This door has in particular an excellent lateral tightness. In addition, thanks to its screens which can be assembled in the factory, the installation on site of a door according to the invention is considerably simpler than the installation of doors as they are known in the state of the technique which requires on-site assembly of the screens. Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment described above by way of example, but on the contrary embraces all of the embodiments. Thus the sheaths of each screen could be formed by an overlapping area of the panels and by two parallel weld lines or by a strip welded directly to the outer face of a panel. It is also possible to make the curtain in a single element of flexible material and then fold it to form two screens. It is conceivable to implement the invention in an embodiment in which the ends of the stiffening bars are directly applied against the uprights or against flexible or rigid slides arranged in the latter.
