Definitions
- the invention relates to a packaging for pourable products from a tubular bag made of flexible material with a flat end of the bag in the filled state, which is formed by two flat side parts lying flat against one another and on both sides between the broad side parts folded inward narrow side parts, each with a side fold on one broad side part and the another side fold lies against the other broad side part, the end of the bag being closed by means of a sealing seam which extends essentially transversely to the longitudinal axis of the bag.
- Such packaging bags are e.g. used to hold powder detergent, especially as a refill, i.e. the user opens the tubular bag and fills the contents, namely the detergent, into a long-term use container.
- the tubular bag emptied in this way can then be folded flat and disposed of to save space.
- Known packaging of this type is closed on the top side by a continuous head weld seam, which ends both the broad side parts as well as the folded side gusset ends of the narrow side parts.
- the outer areas of the head weld seam are therefore each four-layer, while the head weld seam has two layers in its central area, ie only connects the broad side parts to one another.
- the user can only open it by pulling without aids in the middle area between the side gussets, where the weld seam has two layers.
- cracking occurs when opened by pulling. These cracks continue uncontrollably towards the floor surface.
- the refill can only be opened with a tool such as scissors. For this reason, a marking is provided on the packaging to inform the user of the use of the scissors.
- a packaging bag which is closed on the outer edge in each case with a weld seam, the weld seam having two layers in the central region and four layers in the two outer regions.
- a line of weakness is provided at a distance from the head weld seam, for example in the form of a perforated tion, provided in the area of a broad side part.
- a line of weakness offers the risk of unintentional opening, for example during transport or handling of goods.
- a packaging bag is known from EP 1 163 166 B1, which is also closed with a four-layer head weld seam in the edge regions and two-layer in the middle region.
- the weld seam is arranged at a distance from the bag edge to form an edge-side gripping section and is formed convexly inward.
- the object of the invention is to enable controlled opening in a generic packaging without opening aids.
- This task is performed when packaging the Drawn type solved according to the invention in that the sealing seam in the region of the side gussets is only provided between the respective side gusset and the adjacent broad side part.
- the packaging according to the application therefore does not have four-layer sealing seam regions in the end area of the bag, because the folded-in side folds are not welded to one another, but rather only to the adjacent broad side part.
- the packaging can be opened without a problem, without the risk of uncontrolled cracking.
- the narrow side parts are each provided with a non-stick coating in the region of the side gussets lying against one another.
- the inside of the tubular bag has a peelable surface, at least in the area of the sealing seam.
- the inside of the tubular bag preferably has overall a peelable surface.
- the tubular bag very particularly preferably consists of a coextruded composite film made of OPP and PE.
- the peelable surface is very preferably realized in that it is formed by a sealing layer made of PE with a modified blend, such as polybutene.
- the sealing seam is arranged at a distance from the edge of the bag end.
- the end of the bag is folded over and fixed on the outside of the bag.
- the fixation can be done, for example, by applying hot air. This folding over of the end of the bag prevents the load that occurs during the falling process from directly hitting the sealing seam. The occurring forces are rather directed to the folded end of the bag, the sealing seam is protected.
- 1 is a perspective view of a package with sealing seam
- FIG. 1 shows a side view of FIG. 1
- Fig. 6 is an enlarged view of the layer structure of two adjacent film areas of the tubular bag of the packaging.
- a packaging for pourable products for example powder detergent, is generally designated 1 in FIG.
- This packaging consists of a tubular bag 2, which is closed with a bottom seam, not shown.
- the tubular bag 2 is initially open on the head side and is filled with powdered product, and only to such an extent that a flat lying bag end 3 remains.
- This end of the bag 3 is formed by two broad side parts 4 and 5 lying flat against one another and on both sides between the wide side parts 4, 5 inwardly folded narrow side wall parts, each with a side fold 6 on one wide side part 4 and the other side fold 7 on the other wide side part
- the filled bag 2 or the flat-lying bag end 3 is closed by means of a sealing seam 8 which extends essentially transversely to the longitudinal axis of the bag.
- the sealing seam 8 in the area of the side gussets 6, 7 is only provided between the respective side gusset 6 or 7 and the adjacent broad side part 4 or 5, ie, as best shown in FIG. 1, the two adjacent side gussets 6 are 7 not connected to each other with a sealing seam.
- the entire area of the sealing seam 8 is only two-layer, four-layer areas do not exist.
- the tubular bag 2 preferably consists of a coextruded composite film made of OPP and PE, as can best be seen in FIG. 6, where two adjoining regions of the broad side parts 4, 5 are shown in the region of the bag end 3.
- the coextruded composite film made of OPP and PE from the inside out preferably consists of an inner PE layer with a modified blend, such as polybutene, this area is indicated by the reference number 10. Adjacent to this are two coextruded polyethylene layers 11, to each of which a print 12 is applied on the outside. This print 12 is followed by an OPP layer 13, which is finally provided on the outside with a non-stick coating 14.
- FIG. 4 The closed packaging is shown in FIG. 4, wherein it can be seen that the regions of the side folds 6, 7 are not fastened to one another. It can also be seen that the sealing seam 8 is arranged at a distance from the edge, so that two contact surfaces 15 remain for the hands of a user in the edge region. Then it is preferred Bag end 3 folded and attached to the outside of the bag 2, as can be seen in Figure 3. This fixation takes place, for example, by means of hot air and ensures that the packaging has sufficient stability against falling, ie if the packaging falls off a shelf, for example, practically no forces can act on the sealing seam 8.
- the end of the bag 3 is detached from the outside of the bag by the user and brought back into the position shown in FIG. The user then grips the two areas 15 with both hands, as shown in FIG. 5, and pulls the two ends apart, so that the bag 2 can easily be opened along the sealing seam 8 and along the peelable surfaces without any auxiliary tool.
- the above-described peelable film layer 10 is produced, for example, in such a way that a polyisobutylene additive is added in a ratio of 10 to 15% when the film is extruded into the PE granulate for the inner film layer 11.
- a polyisobutylene additive is added in a ratio of 10 to 15% when the film is extruded into the PE granulate for the inner film layer 11.
- the sealing seam 8 is preferably created with special sealing jaws which have a smooth jaw geometry.
- the sealing temperature is preferably controlled in a very exact, small temperature window (tolerance ⁇ 3 ° C.), sealing temperatures being very preferred
