Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for increasing the number of stitches on the edge of a neckline of a tubular Rundbestgestick that is made on a flat knitting machine with at least two opposing needle beds with a Nadeleinannon in which at most every other needle is covered with a stitch and each one mesh carrying needle of a needle bed, an empty needle of the other needle bed opposite.
  • the neckline edge is formed by the use of a spattering method. After the shoulder joints of the fabric are closed, the collar is usually knitted with the same number of needles forming the neckline edge.
  • EP 1 258 552 A1 and EP 1 264 922 A1 discloses a method for increasing the number of stitches at the neckline edge described, which can be performed on a flat knitting machine with four needle beds or on a flat knitting machine with said special shifter needles.
  • the present invention has for its object to provide a method for increasing the mesh size at the neckline edge of a tubular Rund-Fertiggestricks that can be carried out on flat knitting machines with only two needle beds and without special sliding needles.
  • the collar can be knitted, again with the needle division such that at most every other needle is stitched and a stitch-bearing needle is opposed by a free needle.
  • the method can be carried out on flat knitting machines with only two needle beds with tongue or conventional needles. The looping process of the stitches is very reliable because the stitches to be changed are maximally offset by one needle.
  • the mesh size to be increased which are still on the first needle bed, also be transferred to the opposite needle bed, so as not to hinder the displacement movements of the second needle bed.
  • extension stitches Prior to forming extension stitches for another sector of the neckline edge, its stitches may be hung back onto the first needle bed and then the knitting thread placed there in empty needles, which then form the extension stitches.
  • the second needle bed may be offset to the right at a sector that is to the left of the neckline center and offset to the left at a sector that is to the right of the neckline center.
  • the required additional needles for the expansion stitches can be gained on both sides of the original neck area.
  • the transferring of the expansion and / or original stitches in step d) can be carried out successively, beginning at the neckline center facing edge of the sector to the outer edge of the sector, until each origin and extension mesh hangs on a previously empty needle of the second needle bed.
  • the needle division is maintained in which at most every other needle carries a mesh and a stitch-bearing needle is an empty needle opposite.
  • Fig. 1 shows a neckline edge 10 of a Rundhalsauss chnittes, the number of stitches according to the invention is increased to produce a shapely and stretchable collar 11, so that a collar edge 10 'results with increased number of stitches.
  • the neckline edge 10 is divided into three sectors A, B and C. In sectors A and C there is an increase in the number of stitches, while in sector B the number of stitches remains constant.
  • FIGS. 2.1 to 2.12 now illustrate how an exemplary widening of the number of stitches in the sectors A and C takes place.
  • each second needle of the front and back needle beds V and H is stitched.
  • a stitch-bearing needle is an empty needle of the other needle bed H, V arranged opposite.
  • the needles c) to p) belong to the fabric back and the needles C) to P) to the front of the fabric.
  • row R1 in the sector A, the needles C ', D', F 'and H' are wrapped with a knitting yarn so that a stitch can be formed immediately in the next knitting process. Subsequently, in row R2, the stitches of the sectors B and C are transferred from the front needle bed V to their opposite needles of the rear needle bed H. Row R01 shows the course of stitches after the hanging process in row R2.
  • row R02 the back needle bed is shifted one needle to the right. Subsequently, in row R3, the transfer of the innermost expansion mesh H 'of the sector A to its opposite needle h' of the rear needle bed H takes place. The resulting knitted image is shown in row R03.
  • row R06 the rear needle bed is again offset by one needle to the right, so that in row R5 the extension mesh F 'and the original mesh C can be transferred to their opposite needles e' and b, as row R5 shows. The result then is the stitch pattern shown in row R07.
  • the stitches of the knitted front side of this sector are first hung back onto the needles M to S of the front needle bed V in row R9, so that the course of stitches shown in row R014 results.
  • a knitting thread is inserted into the empty needles M ', O', Q ', R' of the front needle bed V to form expansion stitches, and then in row R11 the innermost original stitch M is transferred to the opposite needle j 'of the back needle bed H. umge ruling, so that the stitching shown in row R015 results.
  • row R018 the back needle bed H is shifted one needle to the left and then the original stitches N and O of the sector C are transferred to their opposite needles I ', m' of the back needle bed H, as shown in row R13. The result then is the stitch pattern shown in row R019.
  • row R024 the back needle bed is again offset by one needle to the left, before in row R16 the last extension mesh Q 'of sector C is transferred to the back needle bed H.
  • the resulting stitch pattern is shown in row R025.
  • the method can be applied in an analogous manner.
  • the cutout can also extend deeper into the fabric back than into the fabric front. Instead of the rear needle bed and the front needle bed could be offset. The two needle beds then exchange their roles in an otherwise identical procedure.
