Description

The present invention relates to an ergonomic ceiling light, which is particularly suitable for the illumination of offices with VDU workstations.

Such lights usually have as bulbs on gas discharge lamps or fluorescent tubes, below which so-called photometric raster elements, such as those from the DE 34 12 162 C1 are known, are arranged, by means of which the light emitted from the fluorescent tube is directed and emitted glare-free down. Although such luminaires provide excellent workplace lighting, the room lighting conditions are perceived as unpleasant because there is no diffused light illuminating ceilings and walls. In ceiling pendant lights of this type is therefore intended that the fluorescent tubes radiate upwards against the ceiling and illuminate the room by reflected from the ceiling diffused light.

In the case of recessed ceiling luminaires, it is customary to provide so-called light distribution chambers laterally into which the light emitted laterally from the fluorescent tubes diffuses and is diffusely emitted over comparatively large, substantially horizontally expanded diffuse-transparent radiating surfaces, see, for example, US Pat. B. WO 98/29683 . DE 279 12 314 U1 . DE 100 06 410 A1 and DE 101 12 055 A1 , Other lights of this kind are out DE 297 10 475 U1 and DE 101 04 090 A1 known.

Due to the comparatively large vertical extent of such lights, these are essentially only used in rooms with a suspended ceiling, in which above the visible ceiling nor a sufficient airspace is available. Furthermore, it is necessary for a sufficient luminance of the lateral light distribution chambers to provide additional light sources within the light distribution chambers or to limit their emission area accordingly.

DE 101 12 055 A1 discloses another lamp of this type, but in which additional illuminant to achieve a high level of light in the light distribution chambers are necessary. Furthermore are off US-A-2 436 635 . DE 24 11 623 A1 . CH 352 406 A and FR-A1-2 315 660 Lights are known in which no light distribution chambers are provided.

The object of the invention is to provide such a ceiling lamp with fluorescent tubes, grid and side light distribution chambers available, which has a low overall height. The object of the invention is also to provide a lamp without additional light sources in the lateral Lichtverteilkammern for a sufficient luminance of the radiating surfaces of Lichtverteilkammern available. Finally, it is an object of the invention to provide a luminaire with the most uniform possible luminance of the emission surfaces of the lateral light distribution chambers, in particular also avoiding shadowing, in particular in the region adjacent to the grid.

Vorzugsweise ist der die Oberkante der Leuchtstoffröhren überragende Teil der Seitenwände desThe object is according to a luminaire, the two parallel fluorescent tubes and on both sides laterally thereof propagating Lichtverteilkammern, the Lichtverteilkammern the respective fluorescent tube facing substantially vertical light entry surfaces of a light-scattering transparent material, and a below the fluorescent tubes arranged photometric grid element for limiting the radiation angle of the fluorescent tubes down and arranged between the fluorescent tubes on the outside formed as a reflector elongated trough for receiving the electronic operating elements for the fluorescent tubes, further wherein the substantially vertical light entrance surface of the light distribution chambers on the edge adjacent to the lighting grid element have a return from the fluorescent tube away. Preferably, the trough has a substantially rectangular cross-section with an upwardly directed opening. On both sides of the trough each one of the fluorescent tubes is arranged. Below the trough and the fluorescent tubes, the grid extends. Preferably, the part of the side walls of the upper part of the fluorescent tubes protruding

Trough obliquely bent outward and further extends horizontally above the fluorescent tubes further outward, so that a substantial part of the light emitted from the adjacent fluorescent tube in the direction of the lamp center plane light from the fluorescent tube facing the reflective side of the trough and its also reflective horizontal extension in the direction is deflected to the lateral Lichtverteilkammer. As a result, an increased light input is achieved in the Lichtverteilkammern.

The trough is associated with the further technical advantage that this increases the longitudinal stiffness in flat lights and thus the luminaire housing can be made correspondingly filigree.

The Lichtverteilkammern consist of a substantially vertical, adjacent to the respective fluorescent seukrechten light entrance surface of transparent, diffused light scattering material through which light enters the Lichtverteilkammer, a laterally extending bottom of also transparent, diffused light scattering material, diffused by the light from the Lichtverteilkammer is emitted, and an upper opaque upper side, which is reflective to the inside of the Lichtverteilkammer out and, for example Made of polished aluminum sheet. Cost-effective training as a white powdered steel sheet.

Preferably, the underside and the top converge in the course of their lateral extent, so that they meet in a common, parallel to the fluorescent tubes outer edge, the light distribution chamber thus has a substantially triangular cross-section.

Vorzugsweise beträgt das Verhältnis der seitlichen Ausdehnung einer Lichtverteilkammer und ihrer vertikalen Ausdehnung mindestens 3:1, besonders bevorzugt mindesten 4,5:1.Preferably, the ratio of the lateral extent of a light distribution chamber and its vertical extent is at least 3: 1, more preferably at least 4.5: 1.

Suitable as a transparent light-scattering material are glass or translucent plastics with light-scattering roughened surface, preferably roughened surface on both sides, or plastics with light-scattering inclusions. The inner surfaces of the undersides of the Lichtverteilkammern are preferably provided with a parallel to the fluorescent tube step structure, which ensures a nearly as possible vertical incidence of light.

Preferably, the undersides of the Lichtverteilkammern seen from the outside are convex, so that a good lateral luminance distribution of the undersides is achieved. In this way it is possible, with a ratio of lateral extent of the light distribution chambers to the vertical extent (height of the fluorescent tube adjacent vertical boundary wall) of 4: 1 to 7: 1 to achieve an evenly perceived for the eye luminance of the undersides.

In the case of the design of the luminaire as a surface-mounted luminaire, the lower side is preferably convex and the upper side is flat and parallel to the ceiling.

In the case of the design of the luminaire as recessed luminaire, the underside can be flat and, after installation with the ceiling underside aligned and the top convex. Particularly preferred is an embodiment of the lamp such that only part of the overall height of the lamp is recessed in the ceiling and the lamp extends in the rest of the ceiling bottom in the room, the undersides of the lateral Lichtverteilkammern convex the ceiling bottom approach. As a result, a particularly pleasing aesthetics of the lamp is generated. Furthermore, this allows a required installation depth can be achieved, which does not exceed the thickness of conventional ceiling trim panels.

According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the grid is integrated into the lamp body, so that the underside of the grid is aligned with the undersides of the Lichtverteilkammern. There is the risk that the adjacent to the grid edge portions of the undersides of the light distribution chambers is shaded by the outer side rails of the grid. In the preferred embodiment, therefore, the vertical light entrance surface of the light distribution chamber is formed so that it is formed at its lower edge with a lateral recess and this return is illuminated by the mirror above the fluorescent tube reflected light.

According to the invention it is possible to produce lamps of the generic type whose overall height is less than 4 times, preferably less than 3.5 times the fluorescent tube diameter. Furthermore, it is possible to direct more than 60% of the light generated by the fluorescent tubes in the Lichtverteilkammern so that the average luminance of the lower sides of the Lichtverteilkammern more than 25% of the average luminance of the grid at a radiating surface ratio of Lichtverteilkammern to the grid of 6: 1 is.

The elements of the invention have been described essentially in the form of elongated profiles parallel to the fluorescent tubes. The person skilled in the art is able to provide terminating elements on both sides of the longitudinal extension of the fluorescent tubes in planes transversely to their axis.

Fig. 1
eine schematische erste Ausführungsform der Erfin- dung in Form eines Einbauleuchte;
Fig. 2
Fig. 3 und 4
The invention will be described below with reference to schematic cross-sectional drawings explained in more detail by way of example, wherein like elements in the various figures are designated by like reference numerals. Show it:
Fig. 1
a schematic first embodiment of the invention in the form of a recessed luminaire;
Fig. 2
a schematic second embodiment in the form of a surface-mounted luminaire; and
3 and 4
two schematic embodiments of recessed lights, in which only a portion of the height is sunk in the ceiling.

The figures each show one half of the symmetrical with respect to the center plane M lamp 1 in cross section. The lamp 1 consists principally of the fluorescent tube 2, the Lichtverteilkammer 3, the grid 4, and optionally the housing 5 with only partially indicated fasteners 51 for the delivery of the lamp to the ceiling structure 7. For the operation of the fluorescent tubes 2 electronic operating elements 21 are required which are arranged according to the invention within an elongated trough 6 formed outside as a mirror between the fluorescent tubes.

The Lichtverteilkammern 3 consist in principle of an inwardly designed as a mirror or diffuse reflector top 31, a fluorescent tube 2 adjacent vertical Lichteintrittfläche 33 of transparent, diffuse light scattering material through which light from the fluorescent tube enters the Lichtverteilkammer, and a lower, as a radiating surface serving bottom 32 of transparent, diffused light scattering material. Alternatively, the reflector may be formed on the upper side of the housing, so that it is not an integral part of the Lichtverteilkammer 3.

The grid 4 consists in a known manner of two side strips 42, between which a plurality of transverse blades 43 extend; on the middle of the cross blades 43, a V-reflector 41 is placed on top.

Fig. 1 shows a recessed luminaire 1 with a flat radiating surface 32 of the Lichtverteilkammer, which is aligned with the ceiling lower edge 71. The top 31 is formed as a convex mirror. The fluorescent tube 2 is located in a downwardly open housing, which is formed from the vertical mirror surface 62 of the trough 6, an upper mirror surface 64 and the vertical light entry surface 33 of the Lichtverteilkammer 3. The arrows 8 indicate that light emitted by the fluorescent tube in the direction of the trough 6 is directed via the mirror surfaces 62 and 64 into the light distribution chamber 3.

Fig. 2 shows a surface-mounted luminaire 1 with a flat reflector 31 and convex outwardly curved radiating surface 32. In the illustration of Fig. 2 the trough 6 was provided with a conical enlargement 63 with an opening angle of 15 to 40 °. Arrows 8 indicate the deflection of the light from the back of the fluorescent tube in the Lichtverteilkammer. Furthermore, in this illustration, the grid 4 was included in the lamp body, so that the lower edge 44 of the grid 4 is aligned with the radiating surface 32.

Fig. 3 shows an embodiment of the invention, in which only a part of the overall height of the lamp 1 is sunk in the ceiling 7. The top 31 is formed as a convex mirror. The bottom 32 is also curved convexly outwards. In order to avoid shading of the edge of the underside 32 adjacent to the grid 4 by the side strips 42, the vertical light entry surface 33 of the light distribution chamber has a recess 34. The arrows 9 indicate that the return 34 passes through from the fluorescent tube 2 obliquely upwardly emitted light is illuminated by reflection on the upper mirror surface 64, so that shadowing is avoided.

Finally shows Fig. 4 an embodiment of the invention as Fig. 3 , wherein the upper side 31 of the Lichtverteilkammer is formed as a planar reflector.

For ease of illustration, several elements of the invention have been varied in the figures. As a result, no limitation of the invention to the combination of certain elements is intended. Rather, the preferred embodiment of the recess 34 according to 3 and 4 preferably also in the case of a surface-mounted luminaire according to Fig. 2 be used. Furthermore, it may be desirable for aesthetic or lighting reasons, in a lamp with only partial sinking of the height in the ceiling according to 3 or 4 to include the grid 4 only partially or not at all in the luminaire body, as in Fig. 1 shown.
