Bei einer Rückbewegung des Schließbolzen aus dem zweiten Endbereich 16 heraus wird der Haltesteg 22 durch das Federelement 30 wieder zurückgezogen. Damit ist eine Lösung geschaffen, dass das Halteelement 22 nur bei Bedarf, nämlich wenn das Fenster in die abgestellte Position gebracht wird, ausfährt. In diesem Fall besteht durch die Abstellbewegung gleichzeitig der Bauraum für das Halteelement. Im geschlossenen Fensterzustand hingegen, wenn der Bauraum nicht vorhanden ist, da der Flügelrahmen eng am Blendrahmen anliegt, ist das Halteelement eingefahren. Beim Eintritt des Schließbolzens in den zweiten Endbereich 16 werden dadurch die erforderlichen Kräfte vermindert, da keine Kraft zur Bewegung des Halteelements 22 und entgegen der Federkraft aufgewendet werden muss. Das Einfahren des Halteelements 22 erfolgt durch den Flügelüberschlag des Flügelrahmens.In Fig. 6 an alternative embodiment of the striking plate 11 is shown. Fig. 7 zeigt die Darstellung, in der der Schließbolzen bereits in den zweiten Endbereich eingefahren ist. Fig. 8 hingegen zeigt den Schließbolzen im ersten Endbereich, wobei der Haltearm 22 durch den nicht dargestellten Flügelüberschlag des Flügelrahmens entgegen der Federkraft der Blattfeder 60 eingedrückt ist. Claims (13)

  1. Striker plate for windows or French windows, having a guideway (12) into which a locking pin which is connected to an espagnolette-type fitting of a moving frame can be engaged, the striker plate (10) being able to be associated with a fixed frame and the guideway (12) having a first end-region (14) and a second end-region (16), together with an entry region (18) for the entry of the locking pin into the guideway (12) and together with a retaining tongue (22) which is positioned between the entry region (18) and the second end-region (16), the first end-region (14) being arranged to be offset from the second end-region (16) transversely to the direction defined by the longitudinal axes of the guideway (12), characterised in that the retaining tongue (22) is mounted to be movable in such a way that it can be moved between a first operating position and a second operating position, by which means the width (24) of the second end-region (16) can be altered.
  2. Striker plate according to Claim 1, characterised in that, when the retaining tongue (22) is in the first operating position, the width (24) of the guideway (12) in the second end-region (16) is less than the width (25) of the guideway (12) in the first end-region (14) and, when the retaining tongue (22) is in the second operating position, the width (24) of the guideway (12) in the second end-region (16) is equal to or greater than the width (25) of the guideway (12) in the first end-region (14).
  3. Striker plate according to Claim 1, characterised in that, when the retaining tongue (22) is in the first operating position, the width (24) of the guideway (12) in the second end-region (16) is less than the diameter of the locking pin and, when the retaining tongue (22) is in the second operating position, the width (24) of the guideway (12) in the second end-region (16) is equal to or greater than the diameter of the locking pin.
  4. Striker plate according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the retaining tongue (22) is arranged to be rotatable on an axis of rotation (26).
  5. Striker plate according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the axis of rotation (26) is positioned off the retaining tongue (22) and the retaining tongue (22) is connected to the axis of rotation (26) by means of a supporting arm (28).
  6. Striker plate according to any one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the retaining tongue (22) is mounted to be displaceable perpendicularly to the direction defined by the longitudinal axes of the guideway.
  7. Striker plate according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the retaining tongue (22) is pre-loaded towards the first section (31) of the guideway by a spring member (30).
  8. Striker plate according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the spring member (30) takes the form of a compression spring of a helical configuration.
  9. Striker plate according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the first end-region (14) is associated with a closed position of the window and the second end-region (16) is associated with a position in which the window is parallel but positioned away.
  10. Striker plate according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the first operating position of the retaining tongue (22) is associated with the closed position of the window and the second operating position of the retaining tongue (22) is associated with the position in which the window is parallel but positioned away.
  11. Striker plate according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the striker plate (10) is fastened to a striker base-plate (36), the striker plate (10) being mounted to be displaceable relative to the striker base-plate (36) parallel to the direction defined by the longitudinal axes of the guideway.
  12. Striker plate according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the striker plate (10) has at least one adjusting passage (34) which extends perpendicularly to the direction defined by the longitudinal axes of the guideway and in which an adjusting spigot of the espagnolette-type fitting can be engaged to adjust the striker plate.
  13. Striker plate according to any one of Claims 1 to 6 or 8 to 12, characterised in that the retaining tongue (22) is pre-loaded away from the first section (31) of the guideway by a spring member (50).
