Definitions

  • the invention relates to a removable dust collector for insertion into a dust chamber of a vacuum cleaner.
  • the known vacuum cleaners are usually operated with a usable in a dusty space of the vacuum cleaner filter bag made of paper.
  • These vacuum cleaners generally have a filter bag carrier mounted in the dust compartment.
  • the filter bag is held in the operating position in the vacuum cleaner by means of a stiffening plate attached to the filter bag, which preferably consists of cardboard and can be inserted into the filter bag carrier. In the stiffening plate an opening is provided, is passed through the dust-laden suction air into the filter bag.
  • Such a vacuum cleaner is for example from the DE 40 13 572 C2 and the DE 201 19 853 41 known.
  • the local vacuum cleaners have a dust bag space, which can be closed with a lid.
  • a holder for a stiffening plate of a dust bag is arranged in the dust bag room.
  • a locking member is moved from a locking position, so that when the stiffening plate is missing, the locking member blocks the closing of the lid and when inserted stiffening plate allows the closing of the lid.
  • locking members are so-called filter locks that allow closing the vacuum cleaner cover only when the filter bag is inserted properly.
  • One from the DE 39 20 313 A1 known filter barrier has an insertion device for a filter bag having guide elements which are adapted to a Filter Vietnameseflansch and only when properly inserted filter bag an actuator releases the suction function.
  • Such a dust collector is for example from the DE 100 21 594 A1 known.
  • the vacuum cleaner is designed so that it can be operated either with a disposable filter bag or the reusable dust collector.
  • the disadvantage is that the filter blocks known for operation with filter bags do not readily work in operation with dust collection containers.
  • the previous solution for an optional operation with Filterbeutein or dust collection provides, either completely dispense with a filter lock, or to provide two different filter locks as in a vacuum cleaner already on the market. If two different filter barriers are provided, one is specially adapted to one filter bag and the other is specially adapted to the dust collector.
  • the disadvantage here is that the user additionally has to replace the appropriate filter barrier when changing the operating mode between filter bag operation and dust collecting operation. This is not user-friendly and often the user is overwhelmed with the assembly or disassembly of the respective filter lock.
  • a constant replacement of the filter block involves the risk of damage to the relevant components.
  • the object of the invention is to allow the operation of a vacuum cleaner with either a filter bag or a dust collector in a simple manner.
  • the advantageous function of a filter lock should be ensured in both modes in a simple manner.
  • this object is achieved in that the same locking member is held either by a filter bag inserted into a carrier or by a coupled to the dust collector actuator in its release position.
  • the function of a filter block which is generally formed by a filter bag carrier and an associated locking member, even when using a removable dust collection container is ensured. It is then no longer necessary to use a separate filter lock when using the dust collector. Rather, the filter designed for operation with a filter bag filter block can be further used by the actuator, or remain in the vacuum cleaner. Replacement of different filter locks is eliminated.
  • the actuator of a dust collection container according to the invention is designed so that either the filter bag carrier or the locking member itself is influenced such that the function of a filter barrier results in the same or substantially similar manner as when using a filter bag. In that regard, a presence of a filter bag used is effectively simulated by the actuator.
  • the actuator may preferably be designed and dimensioned so that this function is fulfilled only within a small positional tolerance of the dust collector in the dust chamber. It is particularly advantageous because it also ensures that the vacuum cleaner is only ready for operation when the dust collector is in its proper operating position.
  • the filter barrier can be formed by a movably mounted carrier, which is coupled to the locking member.
  • the coupling can be achieved in the simplest way, that the locking member or a plurality of locking members are attached directly to the filter bag carrier.
  • the locking members may in particular be formed directly on the filter bag carrier.
  • the locking member may also be mounted in a guide on the vacuum cleaner housing and actuated by the filter bag carrier directly or via a variety of intermediate adjusting elements.
  • the carrier can be mounted by means of a pivot bearing pivotally mounted on the vacuum cleaner housing.
  • the pivot bearing is disposed at a lower edge of the carrier and the actuator engages an upper edge of the carrier.
  • the actuator may be formed on the dust collector.
  • the actuator can engage the carrier and move it. By the movement of the filter bag carrier, the locking member or the locking members is then actuated directly or indirectly.
  • the essential advantage is that the actuator can be designed in a particularly simple design. Due to the usual size of a filter bag carrier and the actuator can be made adequately large. The actuator does not have to be made as accurate in shape and position, as it is required, for example, when the actuator must act directly on a small or narrow locking member, which may also have a small actuation path between the locking position and the release position.
  • the holder of the dust collection container is formed by intermeshing guides which are formed on the dust collector and the vacuum cleaner, and which constitute a positioning aid to hold the dust collector in its operating position. Due to the design of the holder as a positioning aid a proper insertion of the dust collection container is ensured in the dust chamber of the vacuum cleaner. The dust collector is thus fixed in its position in the dust chamber and can neither slip nor fall over.
  • the holder may be formed by the actuator, which is held on the carrier in a receptacle. This eliminates the need for a separate holder for the dust collector. Already by the onset of the dust collection container, the locking member is actuated and at the same time set the dust collector in its operating position.
  • the actuator may be formed on the dust collector and is preferably formed as a hook-shaped bent tab which engages an edge of the filter bag carrier.
  • a favorable point of application of the actuator on the filter bag carrier is in particular the upper edge of the filter bag carrier, when it is pivotally hinged to the ground in the dust chamber of the vacuum cleaner.
  • the actuator on one substantially the hinge to attack opposite edge of the filter bag carrier.
  • the actuator of the dust collection container according to the invention also have a handle portion for actuating a closing element for unlocking, or locking a releasably secured to the dust collector filter housing.
  • the relatively large trained actuator can be used simultaneously as a handle. Without requiring additional space in the dust chamber, while a handle is created, which is relatively large and thus can be easily operated with little effort by the user.
  • the detachable connection of dust collecting container and filter housing is provided by closing elements, which are formed, for example, as narrow tabs, which produce the releasable connection by means of a pin / groove connection.
  • the tabs were always very narrow and formed on the housing wall of the dust collector tight-fitting, as between dust collector and dust chamber inner wall only a small space for such closure elements is provided. To extend the intervals for emptying as possible, the dust collector should use as much as possible the entire dust chamber.
  • these narrow and tight-fitting tabs are very difficult to solve by hand. There is also a high risk of injury, since the narrow tabs can be operated only with great effort.
  • the actuator can protrude far away from the housing wall of the dust collection container towards the front in the direction of the filter bag carrier.
  • This wide cantilever of the actuator can be used in an advantageous manner to form a handle portion of a closing element.
  • the large handle area is easy to grasp by hand and the closing element connected to the grip area can be actuated with little effort.
  • the closing element is formed together with the handle portion as a one-piece plastic component.
  • the actuator may be formed in the form of a stiffening plate of a filter bag.
  • This actuator in the form of a stiffening plate is then used analogously to the stiffening plate of a filter bag in the same way in the filter bag carrier.
  • the stiffening plate extends substantially parallel and at a distance from the filter bag carrier facing the housing wall of the dust collection container.
  • the stiffening plate may be made of plastic and molded by means of connecting webs on a housing wall of the dust collecting container. Due to the design of the actuator as a stiffening plate of a filter bag, the user receives a clear help for the correct installation position of the dust collector. Since the user is familiar with the installation of a stiffening plate in the filter bag carrier due to the usual use of filter bags, it will be easy for him to use the dust collecting container by means of the inventively provided stiffening plate in the correct installation position.
  • the vacuum cleaner may be provided a separate carrier for the filter bag and a separate carrier for the dust collector.
  • the support of the dust collection container may comprise the actuating member which actuates either the locking member or the carrier.
  • the actuator may be formed as a substantially perpendicular to the plane of the support formed footprint for the dust collector.
  • the Dust collectors are only exposed to the footprint. An awkward attachment, hooking or latching the dust collector to an actuator or to a locking member can be omitted.
  • the dust collector can be used in a simple manner in the dust chamber of the vacuum cleaner.
  • the dust collecting container may have a cover member by which insertion of a filter bag into the carrier is prevented when the dust collecting container is operatively inserted into the dust space.
  • a cover member by which insertion of a filter bag into the carrier is prevented when the dust collecting container is operatively inserted into the dust space. This prevents the user from inserting a filter bag into the dust space in addition to an inserted dust collection bin. It may happen that the user wishes to operate the vacuum cleaner with a filter bag and believes that the dust collecting container can remain in the dust space of the vacuum cleaner despite the use of a filter bag.
  • the cover is provided which covers the filter bag carrier at least so far that a filter bag can not be used when the dust collector is in the dust chamber.
  • the cover is formed on the actuator.
  • the cover, or the actuator can also simultaneously form the handle area.
  • these functions can be realized in a single component.
  • the function combining component may be made of plastic and manufactured by injection molding.
  • the dust collector has an inlet for dust-laden air.
  • the dust particles are separated from the air and deposited in a dust collection room.
  • the separation of dust particles from the air can be carried out in an advantageous manner by a separator, operates on the principle of centrifugal force.
  • the dust-cleaned air leaves the dust collector via an opening covered by a filter.
  • the filter is arranged in a filter housing which is detachably fastened to the dust collecting container. This can on the one hand the Filter housing can be removed to replace a dirty filter can and on the other hand, the dust collection space is accessible to empty the dust collector when it is filled with dust.
  • FIG. 1 shows a dust collector 1 with a housing part 1.1, a container lid 2 and a bottom. 3
  • the housing part 1.1 has an inlet opening 4, via which dust-laden air enters the interior of the dust collecting container 1. At the edge of the inlet opening 4, a seal 5 is arranged. In an operating position of the dust collecting container 1, in which a dust collecting space 7 of a vacuum cleaner is closed by a cover 30, there is an inlet connection 6 (FIG. Fig. 5 ) of the vacuum cleaner sealingly against the seal 5.
  • the interior of the housing part 1.1 has the dust collection chamber 7 and a dust separator 8.
  • the dust collector 8 is designed as a centrifugal separator, but it can also by a simple Filter bag or a filter screen are formed.
  • the dust separator 8 is connected by an inlet channel 9 with the inlet opening 4. Within the dust collector 8, the dust is separated from the air and enters via an upper dust opening 10 in the dust collection chamber 7 a. The dust accumulates at the bottom of the dust collecting space 7.
  • a deflection device 11 is formed, which deflects dust-free air at the upper end of the dust collector 8 down.
  • the container lid 2 is detachably attached to the housing part 1.1.
  • For attachment engage the container lid 2 molded locking hooks 12 in tabs 13 of the housing part 1.1 a.
  • Each tab 13 has a tongue 14. If the tongue 14 is moved away perpendicularly from the contact surface of the tab 13 on the container lid 2, the associated latching hook 12 can detach from the tab 13 and the container lid 2 can be separated from the housing part.
  • a handle 15 is attached at the top of the container lid 2. The handle 15 is space-saving housed in a recess 16 in the container lid 2.
  • the handle 15 is pivotable about an axis of rotation 17 from its horizontal storage position into a vertical position in which the dust collecting container 1 can be carried.
  • a recessed grip 18 is formed in the container lid 2 at the edge of the recess 16.
  • the handle 15 may be biased by means of a spring, not shown, acting about the axis of rotation 17 either in the storage position or in the position for carrying.
  • the FIG. 2 shows the dust collector 1 in an open position in which the bottom 3 is pivoted into an open position.
  • the bottom 3 carries a filter fleece 19 which completely covers at least one air outlet opening 20. Air can escape from the interior of the dust collecting container 1 via the air outlet opening 20.
