Definitions

  • the invention relates to a wheelchair, in particular an electric wheelchair, with a telescopic tubes having frame, at least one rotatable about a horizontal axis of rotation, associated with the first tubes, steerable wheel, and two communicating with the second tubes, non-steerable wheels, wherein the wheelbase between the wheels is infinitely adjustable by telescoping the tubes and the distance between the axis of rotation of the at least one steerable wheel and the frame is adjustable, and a seat attached to the frame with a backrest.
  • Such a wheelchair is known for example from GB 2 238 275 A.
  • Wheelchairs are also known in which the frame has a fixed size which determines the size of the wheelchair. Due to the range of body dimensions of the possible users of wheelchairs an adjustment of the body's center of gravity in relation to the optimal pivot point of the wheelchair is not possible. This means that a very tall person is sitting too far back, so that the overall center of gravity is too far back, and a very small person is sitting too far forward, with an overall center of gravity moving farther forward. The different position of the overall centers of gravity has an unfavorable load distribution on the drive or steering wheels result, whereby the driving behavior is limited.
  • a wheelchair in which the chassis, the seat and the backrest each formed from a plurality of basic elements and the basic elements are adjustable by profiles and screw to different body dimensions and proportions.
  • the chassis is adjustable in both width, height and wheelbase and the seat is adjustable in width and depth and the backrest is infinitely adjustable in width and height.
  • Seat and backrest can also be adjusted in inclination.
  • a generic wheelchair characterized by the fact that the telescoping tubes are inclined relative to the footprint of the wheels.
  • the steering wheel rotates optimally about the fork axis when it is perpendicular to the driving plane. Since the distance between the axis of rotation and the frame is adjustable, a change in angle of the fork can be compensated in the telescoping, so that always the vertical pivot axis is maintained.
  • At least two concentrically arranged tubes are preferably provided, the relative position of which is fixable to one another by at least one clamping piece.
  • the position of the tubes can be fixed by three clamping pieces which can be clamped to one another.
  • the at least one steerable wheel is rotatably mounted in a fork about a horizontal axis of rotation and the fork is pivotally connected to one of the tubes about a vertical axis.
  • a plurality of vertically spaced holes is preferably provided at the lower end of the fork, in which the wheel axle can be mounted alternatively.
  • the attachment of the Wheel axle also via a slot with clamping, as is known, for example, racing bikes are realized.
  • the position of the seat to the frame is preferably also adjustable, so that the seat in the horizontal plane is optimally adaptable to the change in the frame length. This can - be ensured that the distance between the footpegs to the steered wheels is so large that they can swing freely.
  • the frame is essentially formed by two mutually parallel, each concentrically arranged tubes which are connected to each other via a welded cross member and a bolted-down battery carrier.
  • the rear, larger diameter tubes main tubes
  • the smaller diameter tubes which are each connected to a steered wheel, then form a telescopic front frame.
  • the power wheelchair, the drive units are not shown here in detail, has a frame 20, to which two steerable front wheels 3 and two drive wheels 5 in the wheelbase R to each other spaced apart, are arranged.
  • the frame 20 is essentially formed by arranged on both sides, concentric tubes 11, 7, which are interconnected via the seat 10 and adapter tabs 6, 16.
  • the front frame which is formed by the tubes 11, is telescopic.
  • the tube 11 in Außi tomesser corresponds to the inner diameter of the tube 7 and is inserted into this.
  • the two outer clamping pieces 13, 15 are chamfered at their inner ends.
  • the middle clamping piece 14 is chamfered congruently at its two ends to the clamping pieces 13, 15.
  • the three clamping pieces 13, 14, 15 are each provided with a through hole unspecified here.
  • the through hole of the inner clamping piece 15 is provided with an internal thread 17.
  • the through hole of the outer clamping piece 13 has a stepped bore 13 ', which serves to receive a screw head, not shown here.
  • the clamping pieces 13, 14, 15 are clamped to each other via a screw (not shown) which is screwed into the thread 17, wherein the central clamping piece 14 is pressed due to the bevels radially outward against the inner wall of the outer tube 7, so that the relative position of the inner tube 11 to the outer tube 7 is continuously fixed.
  • the tubes 7, 11 can be stepped stepped in which, for example, in the walls parallel spaced holes are preceded, which are brought to cover and through which a bolt is then inserted. Other fixations are conceivable.
  • the outer tubes 7 are connected via a - not shown here - welded cross member and bolted from below battery carrier together.
  • the drive wheels 5 are connected via rear adapter straps 6 with the rigid tubes 7.
  • a steering wheel receptacle 1 is provided, which receives a pivotable about the vertical axis H fork 2, in which the steering wheels 3 are mounted rotatably about a rotation axis D, fixed. Due to the telescoping of the frame 20, the wheelbase R can be adjusted continuously.
  • the tubes 7, 11 are inclined relative to the contact surface of the wheels 3, 5. If the tubes 7, 11 telescoped, the angle of the vertical axis H of the fork 2 changes to the vertical.
  • the pivoting of the steering wheels 3 is optimal when the vertical axis H coincides as possible with the vertical.
  • a plurality of vertically spaced holes 4 are provided at the lower end of the fork 2, in which the wheel axle can be used alternatively, so that the distance A between the axis of rotation D of the steering wheel 3 and the frame 20 is adjustable.
  • a plurality of holes 4 could be provided in the fork 2 and a slot in which the axis of the steering wheel 3 can be clamped.
  • the back 8 of the seat 10 is electrically adjustable in angle.
  • the tubes 7, 11 have an oval cross-section, resulting in a high stability.
