Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a tamper-resistant film structure and a method for its production.
  • weakening lines are also meant interrupt lines, i. Lines along the course of which a film or film layer is severed through its entire thickness. Weakening lines are usually punching or punching lines, but can also be designed as cuts, perforations, creases or the like. The lines of weakness prevent adhering the removal of the complete film or the complete label, as this or this breaks along the lines of weakness or from these into pieces. To reassemble the items is not possible or only with great effort.
  • the lines of weakness within a label run continuously from edge to edge, there is the problem that the application of the label is difficult, since the portions of the label formed by the lines of weakness between the dispensing of the label carrier web commonly used from Abziehmaterial and sticking on the intended object only weak - held together, for example, by the not mitgeschwachtte adhesive layer of the label.
  • Such labels are the usual standard in price labeling in supermarkets.
  • the lines of weakness may also be interrupted by webs, whereby the film surface remains coherent.
  • this usually only works with selected geometries of the label and the arrangement of the lines of weakness, and that is because labels are usually punched out of continuous material webs, which were provided before the punching process with lines of weakness.
  • unfavorable punching position of the labels relative to the lines of weakness larger areas, for example, at the corners of a label, be separated by a line of weakness from the rest of the label.
  • Labels and foils are usually labeled or must be labeled, often individually. Laser marking procedures can sometimes be used here.
  • a laser-sensitive layer in the film structure to be labeled locally changes its color by laser irradiation or is ablated locally by laser action.
  • the caption is created by guiding the laser along the desired character contours.
  • the laser-sensitive layer can be under a laser-permeable laminate, so that the removed particles do not escape into the atmosphere.
  • the laser-sensitive layer may also be formed as the uppermost layer of the film structure, so that the particles are released.
  • a security sheet which is adherable to a substrate and which contains an identification medium.
  • an identification medium By targeted damage to a barrier layer by means of laser action, a diffusible identification medium can be selectively released locally. If the security film is adhered to the substrate, the identification medium results in a permanent marking of the substrate.
  • the present invention has the object to provide a tamper-proof film structure for labels and the like, in which the problems described do not occur or only reduced. If possible, the film structure should also be suitable for laser-writable films and labels. Likewise, the present invention has the object to provide a cost-effective and leading to a high product quality Hersteitungs compiler for such a film structure.
  • the object is achieved by a method according to claim 1.
  • Preferred embodiments of the method according to the invention can be configured according to one of claims 2-17. (The term "majority of the label” means more than half of the label size in the corresponding direction.)
  • the object is achieved by a film structure according to claim 18.
  • Preferred embodiments of the film structure according to the invention can be designed according to one of claims 19-24.
  • the present invention provides a new way to ensure protection against tampering by using a foil which is damaged by a laser beam but not cut through.
  • the degree of film weakening can be controlled much more accurately than in conventional punching or cutting processes for producing lines of weakness.
  • inscription and manipulation protection can be applied within a single operation in a way that is surprising for a person skilled in the art, which brings decisive advantages in terms of cost effectiveness and quality management.
  • Film structure 101 consists essentially of a weakened by laser action film layer 103, which is coated with adhesive 102 on the underside. It is advisable to use for the film layer 103 a polyester film which has a sufficient tear strength and heat stability in order to keep the film structure 101 stable.
  • Fig. 2 is the same, in the final numerals of the reference numerals analogously numbered film structure 201 during the treatment by a laser beam 204 shown.
  • the laser beam 204 injures the film layer 203 in an upper portion 203b while remaining intact in a lower portion 203a.
  • the undamaged lower portion 203a preferably has a thickness of less than half, more preferably less than one third of the total thickness of the film layer 203.
  • the weakenable by laser action film layer 103, 203 must because of the selection of materials, their thickness and depending on the energy of the laser 204 so be guaranteed that it has by their injury the above-mentioned properties of sufficient stability (to ensure repositionability) and at the same time sufficient injury (to ensure tamper resistance).
  • a particularly preferred embodiment of a film structure 301 in FIG Fig. 3 consists essentially of a laser-vulnerable film layer 303, which is additionally provided on the upper side with a laser-sensitive layer 307. Underneath is a further film layer 305, which is provided on the underside with an adhesive 302. To prevent manipulation against undesired removal of the film structure or a label formed therefrom, weakenings 306, for example in the form of punched lines, are provided in the further film layer 305.
  • the film 401 which is numbered analogously in the final digits of the reference numbers, is processed with a laser beam 404.
  • the laser-sensitive layer 407 is removed in the intended areas for labeling.
  • the weakened by laser action film layer 403 is weakened in an upper portion 403b, while remaining intact in the lower portion 403a.
  • Fig. 5 shows analogously to Fig. 3-4 a film composite 501 with an adhesive coating 502 and a punchings 506 having additional film layer 505.
  • This is the same basic structure as in 3 and 4 , With the difference that it is not at the laser-sensitive layer 507 to an ablation layer, but a layer that changes in the treated areas by laser light 508 its color. Even with such a laser-sensitive layer 507, if the laser 504 is used correctly, sufficient radiation can penetrate to injure the underlying laser-weakenable film layer 503 in its upper region 503b, while the lower region 503a remains unhurt.
  • the weakened by laser action film layer 303, 403 in Fig. 3 - 4th it is preferably a transparent support layer, which ensures that a contrast between the laser ablatable layer 307, 407 and the additional film layer 305, 405 remains recognizable.
  • the weakenable by laser action film layer 503 in their color and opacity is freely determinable, since it is not visible even after the erosion.
  • Fig. 6 is a set up for a labeling process illustrated, as it is in principle DE 196 42 040 C1 is known. It is a laser film 601, in which the weakened by laser action film layer 603 is disposed above the laserablatierbaren layer 607. Again, with skillful adjustment of the parameter of the laser 604, it is possible to violate the laser-weakenable film layer 603 while simultaneously ablating the laser-sensitive layer 607, which may be metallization. Below the laser-sensitive layer 607 is again an attenuation line 606 having additional film layer 605 with adhesive coating 602 on the underside.
  • Fig. 7 shows the variant of a film structure 701, in which the weakened by the action of the laser 704 film layer 703 is below a label 707 or serves as a basis for a later inscription 707.
  • Fig. 8 shows the weakenable by the action of the laser 804 film layer 803 as (in this case, preferably transparent) laminate over a label 807th
  • an additional film layer 705, 805 with weakenings 706, 806 and an adhesive coating 702, 802 is again provided.
