Definitions

  • the invention relates to a ski binding according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the present invention has for its object to provide a ski binding of the generic type, which is unchanged in good leadership and power transmission by a lower effort in ski or cross-country skiing, i. when lifting the heel is characterized.
  • the core of the present invention is therefore that the front retaining element, which may be formed, for example in the form of a toe, relative to the binding or ski on the one hand and relative to the rear support member on the other hand extending transversely to the sole longitudinal direction and approximately parallel to the sole tread Axis is pivotally mounted.
  • the front retaining element is thus formed quasi "dynamic". The consequence of this is that the front retaining element barely resist when lifting the shoe heel. This is achieved in that the front retaining element can follow the movement of the front sole end relative to the rear retaining element or a connecting part between the front and rear retaining element.
  • the front sole end is not forcibly pressed by the front support member onto the top of the binding or onto the ski deck so that the front sole end always extends parallel to the ski deck, regardless of lifting of the heel.
  • an elastic element namely a flexor in the form of a rubber or elastomer cushion is assigned to the front holding element in front of its pivot axis, between which and the front sole end cross-part of the front holding element, the front sole end can be placed.
  • the heel of the shoe can be raised against the effect of this flexor.
  • the required return of the ski is brought to the sole tread, which is wanted in the so-called diagonal run.
  • the flexor can be removed.
  • the removal of the flexor is particularly suitable for ski hiking, namely when climbing with skins or the like climbing aids. The same applies to telemark skiing.
  • a tensioning device in particular spring tensioning device between the rear and front retaining element, by which a clamping of the ski boot between the front and rear retaining element is ensured.
  • the clamping device is designed so that the rear retaining element is movable in the shoe or ski longitudinal direction, against the action of a spring biasing the rear retaining element in the forward direction. Relative movements of the sole between the front and rear clamping point during lifting of the shoe heel are thus compensable, without the fixation of the shoe being impaired.
  • the rear retaining element comprises two about vertical axes pivotable jaws, which are laterally swung against the action of an elastic element, in particular a compression spring or torsion springs with lateral release of the shoe.
  • the rear retaining element can be designed as a retaining cable or as a retaining bracket, in particular as engaging on the underside of the front sole retaining bracket.
  • the state of the art e.g. in accordance with EP 0 908 204 A2 or EP 0 951 926 A1 or WO 01/66204 A1
  • a prior art which goes back to the Applicant.
  • this prior art characterized in that the front retaining element is rigidly secured to the binding and thus on the ski.
  • the front retaining element is indeed mounted pivotably about a horizontal transverse axis.
  • this storage only allows pivoting relative to the binding or to the ski, but not relative to the rear retaining element or to a connecting part between the front and rear retaining element. Accordingly, the front sole end is subject in this embodiment, a constraint when lifting the shoe heel.
  • the rear retaining element is basically held in open or entry position, by a lock that is released when entering the binding, so that the retaining element then due to the action of the tensioning device in the shoe-fixing position arrives.
  • the ski binding shown schematically in Figures 1 to 3, which is designed as a touring, telemark or cross-country ski binding is indicated by the reference numeral 10. It comprises a mountable on the top surface of a ski, not shown mounting plate 11. At the top of a front support member 12 is pivotally mounted about a parallel to the ski deck or mounting plate 11 and transversely to the longitudinal direction extending axis 13.
  • the front retaining element 12 is designed in the manner of a toe iron. It comprises a U-shaped bracket which engages over the front sole end of a ski boot, not shown, and holds it on the binding.
  • the front holding member 12 is associated with an elastic element in the form of a rubber or elastomeric pad 14 in front of the pivot axis 13. Between this elastic element or flexor 14 and the part of the front holding element 12 that overlaps the front sole end, the front sole end of the ski boot (not shown) can be placed. Accordingly, the heel can be raised against the action of the flexor 14 upwards. If necessary, the elastic element or flexor 14 is removable.
  • a rear support member 15 is pivotally mounted, wherein the rear support member 15 at the rear end of a plate-like connection member 16 longitudinally displaceable (double arrow 17) is arranged to be movable.
  • the rear support member 15 is pivotally mounted about the pivot member 13 about the pivot axis 13 on the mounting plate 11.
  • This pivotal mounting is independent of the pivotal mounting of the front support member 12.
  • This independent pivotal mounting of the front support member 12 and the rear support member 15 is the core of the present construction.
  • the connecting part 16 is preferably designed as a bending-elastic plate in the longitudinal sectional plane of the binding 10. In principle, a rigid plate is conceivable, especially when the rear retaining element 15 engages the rear end of the front sole or in the ball area of the ski boot.
  • the front sole end of the ski boot cross-bracket of the front support member 12 is indicated in the accompanying figures by the reference numeral 18.
  • the spring tensioning means comprises at least one, preferably two, longitudinally extending compression springs 20 which guide the rearward support member 15 in the forward direction, i. in the shoe fixation position.
  • the spring tension can be adjusted by means of a clamping screw 21.
  • the rear retaining element 15 can be fixed in the open position of the binding, wherein this fixation upon entry into the bond is resolvable (step-in mechanism).
  • the rear retaining element 15 comprises a on the underside of the front sole of a ski boot, not shown engaging bracket 22.
  • This headband is open towards the front.
  • the rear retaining element may also be formed in two parts, in particular two pivotable about vertical axes jaws, which are laterally swung against the action of an elastic element, in particular torsion springs under lateral release of the ski boot.
  • This embodiment is not shown here in detail. However, it represents a not inconsiderable safety torque, especially when excessive torsional forces occur.
  • the front support member 12 is preferably still associated with a centering spring, in particular in the form of a torsion spring, which always brings the support member 12 in a normal position in which the bracket 18 extends approximately horizontally.
  • This centering spring is relatively weak. It should only serve to keep the front retaining element 12 in the normal position; However, it should not hinder the relative movement of the retaining element 12 relative to the rear retaining element 15 or connecting part 16 on the one hand and mounting plate 11 on the other hand.
  • the rear retaining element 15 is still connected to an actuating device, not shown here, by means of which this in the open position, that is movable in the rearward direction is until a locking mechanism is active, which holds the holding member 15 in the open position until an entry into the bond takes place.
