Definitions

  • the invention relates to a ski binding according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the present invention has for its object to provide a ski binding of the generic type, which is unchanged in good leadership and power transmission by a lower effort in ski or cross-country skiing, i. distinguished during lifting of the shoe heel and is convertible from a cross-country or touring position in a telemark position.
  • the object according to the invention by means of a ski binding, in particular touring, telemark or cross-country ski binding, defining a ski boot comprising a shank and a sole, with a front, the front sole end associated holding element, an attack on the front sole or heel the ski boot trained rear support member, and an effective between front and rear support member clamping device by means of which the ski boot between the front and rear support member is clamped such that his heel is freely raised, solved in which the front support member relative to the binding or ski on the one hand and relative to the rear retaining element on the other hand pivotally mounted about an axis extending transversely to the binding or sole longitudinal direction and approximately parallel to the sole tread and a switching element is provided, by means of which, if necessary, in particular for Telemark, the pivotable about the associated axis front retaining element is blocked.
  • the front retaining element e.g. may be formed in the manner of a toe iron, relative to the binding or to the ski on the one hand and relative to the rear retaining element on the other hand about a transversely to the sole longitudinal direction and approximately parallel to the sole tread extending axis is pivotally mounted.
  • the front retaining element is thus formed quasi "dynamic". The consequence of this is that the front retaining element barely resist when lifting the shoe heel. This is achieved in that the front retaining element can follow the movement of the front sole end relative to the rear retaining element or a connecting part between the front and rear retaining element.
  • the front sole end is not forcibly pressed by the front support member onto the top of the binding or onto the ski deck so that the front sole end always extends parallel to the ski deck, regardless of the heel lift.
  • Another essential core idea of the invention is that the pivoting of the front holding element can be blocked by means of a switching element in a predefined position. This ensures that the front portion of the shoe sole, which is held in the front retaining element, is held down on the ski. The heel can essentially only be lifted by the flexibility of the front sole and associated binding plate. By this measure, therefore, the contact zone between the sole and binding can be increased and optimize the guidance of a ski.
  • the switching element is designed as a lever having at least two locking positions, namely a blocking or Telemarkposition and a release or touring position, between which it is pivotable.
  • the switching element is formed so that it has a holding mechanism for blocking the front holding member.
  • the holding mechanism can be formed for example by a recess into which engages the front retaining element, so that a pivoting or pivoting same is blocked. Likewise, a hook od. Like. Stop serve as a holding mechanism.
  • the switching element is biased, in particular by means of a spring. In this way, it is ensured that the switching element is urged in the blocking position for the front retaining element.
  • the switching element is formed or cooperates with the remaining part of the bond, in particular a closing lever thereof together so that an automatic spring-back of the switching element is released by releasing the front holding element effectively.
  • the switching element of the binding according to the invention thus has two locking positions, which allow for a substantially unrestricted lifting of the shoe heel and thus optimized movement during cross-country skiing or ski touring and on the other hand, namely in the locked position, an optimized guidance of a telemark ski.
  • Other locking positions, especially in intermediate or slightly raised sole position, are conceivable.
  • the front retaining element is a bracket which overlaps the front sole end of the ski boot and is pivotably mounted on the binding about a transverse axis extending horizontally, both relative to the binding or to a mounting plate associated therewith or to one of these associated housing, as well as relative to the rear retaining element.
  • This pivotal mounting is independent of the pivotal mounting of the front retaining element.
  • This independent pivotal mounting of the front retaining element and the rear retaining element is a central point of the present construction.
  • the connecting part is preferably as a in longitudinal sectional plane of the binding flexurally elastic plate formed. In principle, a rigid plate is conceivable, especially if the rear retaining element engages the rear end of the front sole or in the ball area of the ski boot.
  • the rear support member is pivotally mounted about a transversely to the binding or sole or ski longitudinal direction and approximately parallel to the sole tread or ski deck extending axis.
  • the invention provides that the pivot axis for the rear retaining element coincides with the pivot axis for the front retaining element. This advantageously brings with it a weight saving.
  • this embodiment is adapted to an anatomical tilting of the foot or shoe sole, in particular during a walking or running movement.
  • a tensioning device in particular spring tensioning device between the rear and front retaining element, by which a clamping of the ski boot between the front and rear retaining element is ensured.
  • the clamping device is designed so that the rear retaining element is movable in the shoe or ski longitudinal direction, against the action of a spring biasing the rear retaining element in the forward direction. Relative movements of the sole between the front and rear clamping point during lifting of the shoe heel are thus compensable, without the fixation of the shoe being impaired.
  • the rear retaining element is basically held in open or entry position, by a lock that is released when entering the binding, so that the retaining element then due to the action of the tensioning device in the shoe-fixing position arrives.
  • the rear retaining element is mounted so as to be longitudinally displaceable at the rear end of a connecting part pivotably mounted about a horizontal transverse axis, preferably by means of a guide rail or the like, whereby the pivot axis of the connecting part simultaneously defines the pivot axis assigned to the rear retaining element.
  • the connecting part is designed as a bending-elastic plate in the longitudinal sectional plane of the binding.
  • the flexurally elastic plate is equipped with a certain spring action, which promotes the return of an extended foot position and a tracking of the ski.
  • the connecting part on a stop which is in operative telemark position with the shift lever.
  • the stopper is formed as a metal part, in particular as a steel pin or steel plate, which projects beyond the front edge of the connecting part. It is also possible to form this stop as an integral part of the connecting part.
  • a counter-stop is provided on the shift lever. Furthermore, a nose-like projection is still formed on the shift lever, which cooperates with the limiting of the pivotal movement of the front holding element with this, in particular in the telemark position of the shift lever.
  • the stop associated with the connecting part becomes effective, before then after further lifting of the shoe heel the front holding element comes into contact with the nose-like projection of the shift lever.
  • the front retaining element can thus pivot in the closing or telemark position of the shift lever with play forward, this game sized is that when lifting only the pivotal movement of the connecting part is blocked.
  • connecting part or the soleplate associated stop which should preferably be effective when lifting the shoe heel first, exerted pressure on the connecting part or the sole plate, the even firmer restraint of the sole, in particular front sole on the binding or between causes front and rear retaining element.
  • the stop associated with the connecting part can be assigned a damping mechanism, for example in the form of a spring or another elastic part (flexor), whose counterforce progressively increases up to a final stop, so that a "hard” stop is avoided.
  • the operative connection of the stop associated with the connecting part on the one hand and the counterpart on the shift lever on the other hand can be provided without any freedom of movement.
  • the tensioning device is connected at one end to the rear retaining element, while the other end is coupled behind the pivot axis for the connecting part and the front retaining element with an actuating mechanism for closing and opening the binding (articulation).
  • the rear retaining element is accordingly brought by the actuating mechanism against the action of the clamping device in the open position depending on whether tension or compression springs are used.
  • the tensioning device therefore has at least two functions, namely to brace front and rear retaining element against each other for fixing a shoe and further ensure a provision between shoe and ski (flexor function).
  • the actuating mechanism and the switching element are in this case preferably designed so that the switching element cooperates with the Betuschistsmechnismus, in particular, the two locking positions of the switching element are defined by the aforementioned interaction.
  • the actuating mechanism which serves, inter alia, for getting in and out of the binding, arranged in front of the switching element and has an undercut or a counter-hook, in or on which a retaining hook against its bias in the direction of the actuating mechanism towards crowded switching element on or attacks.
  • the actuating mechanism is used, inter alia, for getting in and out of the binding and for this purpose is tiltable so that it defines the open and the closed position of the binding.
  • the actuating mechanism for this purpose comprises over-center levers which, in their two positions of maximum possible deflection, define the open and closed positions of the binding.
  • Another securing mechanism for open and closed position of the binding can be dispensed with.
  • both the shift lever and the Mattertot Vietnamesehebel by means of a common, in particular arranged therebetween compression spring, biased, namely the shift lever in telemark position and the Kochtot Vietnamesehebel in the closed position.
  • the rear retaining element can be designed as a retaining cable or as a retaining bracket, in particular as engaging on the underside of the front sole retaining bracket.
  • this prior art characterized in that the front retaining element is rigidly secured to the binding and thus on the ski.
  • the front retaining element is indeed a horizontal transverse axis mounted pivotally.
  • this storage only allows pivoting relative to the binding or to the ski, but not relative to the rear retaining element or to a connecting part between the front and rear retaining element. Accordingly, the front sole end is subject in this embodiment, a constraint when lifting the shoe heel.
  • the front retaining element is designed in the manner of a pivotally mounted toe iron.
  • the front holding element in front of the pivot axis additionally an elastic element, namely a flexor be assigned in the form of a rubber or elastomeric pad, wherein between the flexor and the front sole end cross-part of the front support member, the front sole end is placeable.
  • the heel of the shoe can be raised against the effect of this flexor.
  • the required provision of the ski is further promoted to the sole tread, which is wanted in the so-called Diagonallauf.
  • a restoring force in particular progressively increasing restoring force between the shoe and binding in response to the lifting of the shoe heel arises. If necessary, the flexor can be removed. This facilitates the lifting of the heel.
  • the rear holding element comprises two about vertical axes pivotable jaws which are laterally swung against the action of an elastic member, in particular a compression spring or torsion springs with lateral release of the shoe ,
  • the ski binding shown schematically in Figures 1 to 6, which is designed as touring, telemark or cross-country ski binding is indicated by the reference numeral 24. It comprises a mountable on the top surface of a non-illustrated ski mounting plate (not shown). At its upper side, a front sole-holding element 9 is pivotally mounted about an axis 8 extending parallel to the ski deck or mounting plate and transversely to its longitudinal direction. The front retaining element 9 is in the manner of a front sole edge cross Toe iron trained. It comprises a U-shaped bracket which engages over the front sole end of a ski boot, not shown, and holds it in the binding.
  • an actuating mechanism 1 in the form of an actuating lever articulated at the front end of an actuating plate 15 which can be displaced back and forth within the binding housing is arranged.
  • a rear support member 5 is pivotally mounted independently thereof, the rear support member 5 longitudinally displaceable along the rear portion of a strip or longitudinal plate-like connection part 7 along two laterally projecting guide ribs 17 (Double arrow 6) is stored. Specifically, therefore, the rear support member 5 is pivotally mounted about the connecting part 7 about the pivot axis 8 on the mounting plate. This pivotal mounting is independent of the pivotal mounting of the front support member 9.
  • the connecting part 7 is formed as a longitudinally-sectional plane of the bond 24 elastic longitudinal plate. In principle, a rigid plate is also conceivable, especially when the rear retaining element 5 engages the rear end of the front sole or in the ball area of the ski boot. Depending on requirements, the connecting part 7 may also be formed exchangeable.
  • the spring tensioning device 2, 3 comprises at least one, preferably two longitudinally extending compression springs 2, which bias the rear retaining element in the forward direction, ie in the direction of the front retaining element 9 and thus in shoe-fixing position.
  • the spring tension can be adjusted by means of a clamping screw 4. Since it is basically a per se in the spring tensioning device 2, 3 known construction acts, here is a more detailed description of the same.
  • the compression spring (s) 2 are preferably arranged within an outer housing 3.
  • the one end of the compression spring (s) 2 is coupled to a protruding forward of the housing 3 projecting rod, which is hook-shaped as shown in FIG. 7.
  • the spring tensioning device 2, 3 can be suspended in an extremely simple manner on the actuating plate 15, in such a way that an articulation is achieved about a transversely to the ski longitudinal direction and approximately parallel to the ski deck extending axis 16.
  • This articulation 16 is located behind the pivot axis 8. This ensures that the connecting part 7 together with the rear retaining element 5 against the elastic bias of the spring tensioning device 2, 3 is swung up.
  • the spring tensioning device 2, 3 thus causes a restoring force for the connecting part 7 together with the rear retaining element 5 on the ski deck and fulfills the function of an otherwise commonly used flexor, which is associated with the front sole end.
  • the rear retaining element 5 can be fixed in the open position of the binding, wherein this fixation should be resolvable when entering the binding (step-in mechanism).
  • the rear retaining element 5 comprises a on the underside of the front sole of a ski boot, not shown, engaging headband. This headband is open towards the front.
  • the rear retaining element 5 may also be formed in two parts, in particular two pivotable about vertical axes jaws, which are laterally swung against the action of an elastic element, in particular torsion (s) with lateral release of the ski boot. This embodiment is not shown here in detail. However, it represents a not inconsiderable safety torque, especially when excessive torsional forces occur.

  • This connecting line represents an over-center line.
  • the operating lever 1 can be pivoted into two stable end positions, namely a binding closed position on the one hand and a binding open position (FIG.
  • the helical compression spring 13 thus urges the operating lever 1 in the closed position by its action on the mentioned connecting web 22 between the Studentstot Vietnamesehebeln 14. At the same time, it urges the shift lever 11 into the so-called telemark position of the binding, in which the shift lever 11 only allows a limited pivoting of the front holding element 9 about the associated pivot axis 8.
  • This maximum pivotal movement in the aforementioned position of the shift lever 11 is shown in Fig. 8. It is about 6 ° to 10 °.
  • the front end of the shoe sole can pivot about the axis 8 when lifting the shoe heel by about 6 ° to 10 ° together with the associated holding element 9.
  • the front retaining element 9 thus extends in the closed or telemark position of the shift lever 11 with play downwards or in the direction of the ski until a stop of the shift lever 11 assigned to the front retaining element 9 becomes effective.
  • the shift lever 11 is decoupled from the front retaining element 9.
