Description

The invention is directed to a device specified in the preamble of claim 1. Art. Here, a carrier to be fastened to the door serves not only for the storage of a handle, but also for receiving a lock cylinder tower or a lock cylinder-free tower dummy. The handle acts on actuation of a lock in the door or flap, which also applies to the lock cylinder when it is operated with a key associated with it. These two alternatives, namely lock cylinder tower and dummy tower are hereinafter referred to as "tower".

With devices of this type, on the one hand, the tower should be conveniently and reliably mounted in the receptacle of the carrier and on the other hand, the properly mounted tower in the carrier to be reliably secured. For this, the device has at its tower a shoulder which engages at least in the secured mounting position of the tower provided on the support counter shoulder at least partially. To secure the mounting position in the tower, a screw is used, the operating end of the door narrow side is accessible.

In the known device of the type known in the preamble of claim 1 ( DE 30 30 519 C2 ) the screw is part of the carrier. The carrier has a threaded receptacle in which the screw is received. The inside end of the screw is used to secure the tower. Prior to assembly, the support is already permanently attached to the inside of the door and the tower is inserted through a corresponding opening in the door outer panel of the door from the outside and thereby mounted by a Einrenkbewegung in the carrier. During this assembly, the screw is unscrewed in its threaded receptacle so far that the Einrenkbewegung can be carried out for the installation of the tower, which consists of a Einsteckphase and a subsequent, parallel to their insertion position displacement phase. During this shift phase of the Einrenkbewegung the shoulder of the tower goes behind the mentioned counter shoulder in the carrier. This rear grip of the shoulder and counter-shoulder is then secured by the screw by being screwed in their threaded receptacle until its inner end is supported on a side wall of the tower. Then namely the retrograde Einrenkbewegung is blocked for disassembly of the tower; already a displacement of the tower in the opposite direction to the assembly is excluded by the screwed screw.

There are devices where the securing of the mounted tower in the carrier is not instantaneous but indirect ( DE 199 50 172 A1 ). In this case, a slide is received in parallel displaceable guides in the carrier. The slider has a threaded receptacle for a screw which is axially fixed with its actuating end in the carrier. Before the assembly of the tower, the screw is screwed with its threaded inner end maximum in the threaded receptacle of the slider, so this is initially in a remote position from the tower. Then the tower is inserted from the outside of the door in the mounted on the inside of the door carrier. If the screw is then turned so that its thread-carrying inner end turns out of the threaded receptacle of the slide, the slide is increasingly moved against the tower because of the axially fixed rotary mounting of the screw and the tower in the support is also moved in parallel. In this movement of the slider, not only the tower is moved, but also shoulders on the tower behind the shoulders of the wearer on the one hand and noses on the slider behind notches inserted in the tower on the other hand. The backup comes here by the approached on the tower carriage.

The DE 40 24 003 C1 shows a device without a mountable tower. A receptacle for a lock cylinder is located there in a carrier which is designed as a recessed grip plate. There is also a screw, but this serves to attach the whole device to the door of the vehicle.

The US 2002/0124606 Al shows a tower with locking cylinder integrated therein, which is mounted by insertion and rotation in a hole of a panel and thereby comes to lie in a receptacle of a panel passing through the carrier. For this purpose, the tower has two diametrically arranged radial projections in the peripheral region and an axially spaced flange with a flange extension. Compliant with the radial projections, the hole in the panel has diametrical recesses through which the radial projections of the tower pass during the insertion process. During the subsequent turning of the tower, the radial projections come to lie behind wall areas next to the recesses of the panel. On the opposite side of the wall areas is then the flange of the tower with its flange extension. So there is a so-called Einrenkmontage the tower. To prevent unwanted disassembly of the tower, a screw is inserted through a hole in the flange extension, which also passes through the panel and is screwed into a threaded receptacle of the wearer. By the screw thus a reverse rotation of the tower is prevented from its mounting position. On the opposite side of the tower for screw fastening the flange arm, the carrier engages with an angled arm the flange of the tower, which is a second attachment point for the tower. In this known device, the screw is neither an integral part of the tower nor the carrier. Rather, the loose screw is inserted and fixed as a barrier against unwanted Einrenk dismantling in corresponding holes or threaded seats of the flange extension, the panel and the carrier. The operating end of the screw is supported only indirectly, namely on the flange extension of the tower and the panel, on an inner surface of the carrier, which surrounds the threaded bore in the carrier.

The invention has for its object to develop a reliable, space-saving device of the type mentioned, which can be handled easily and quickly for mounting and dismantling of the tower and granted a reliable assurance of the mounting position of the tower in the carrier. This is inventively achieved by the measures mentioned in claim 1, which has the following special significance.

The peculiarity of the invention consists firstly in that the threaded receptacle serving to secure the tower screw is not in the carrier or in a slide located on the carrier, but in the tower itself. In the invention thus form the tower and serving for tower protection screw a preassembled unit. The carrier itself only needs to have a stationary support surface on which in case of protection, the operating end of the screw is supported. Advantageously, the screw is screwed during the assembly process maximum in the tower until the tower-side shoulder engages behind a provided on the support counter shoulder. Then, to secure this mounting position of the tower in the carrier, the screw from the tower is unscrewed until, as mentioned, its operating end rests against the support surface in the carrier. Not the inner end of the screw, as in the aforementioned prior art, but the opposite operating end of the screw secures the engagement of the tower shoulder in the carrier counter-shoulder.

In both embodiments of the device is only the one end of a carrier 10 in the Fig. 3 on the one hand and Fig. 11 . 12 on the other hand. In both embodiments, the carriers 10 are formed coincident with each other and that one sees the back 11 of the mounted on the inside of a door not shown in detail carrier 10. There are the attachment points 13 for fastening means between the door and the carrier 10 can be seen. A handle 15 for actuating a lock provided on the door is merely dash-dotted in FIG Fig. 5 indicated. The handle 15 is located on the front not shown in detail of the carrier 10 and is accessible on the display side of the door for manual operation. The elements acting on the lock when the handle is actuated pass through a cutout 18 provided in the carrier 10. These elements of the handle are in the Fig. 3 as well as 11 and 12 not shown.

Such a handle may also be retrofitted after the carrier has been secured in the door, inserted from the outside of the door through openings in the outer panel in the carrier 10. In this case, the one end of the handle is engaged in a bearing provided in the carrier, while the other end of the handle has the aforementioned elements that come to rest in the cutout 18 of the carrier 10. However, the cutout 18 is dimensioned sufficiently large so that a tower 20 can be mounted in addition to the mounted elements of the handle. It is sufficient, the appearance and the operation of the tower with reference to the second embodiment of Fig. 4 to 10 to explain, because this second embodiment of the in Fig. 1 and 2 shown differs only in that the tower has a separate stability body 26 at its Tower housing 21, while this area is integrally formed in the first embodiment.

How best Fig. 6 can be seen, consists of the tower dummy 20, as already said, from a stability body 26 which is made separately, the in Fig. 10 shown screw 30 receives and is inserted into a bore of the tower housing made for itself 21. The tower 20 has a threaded receptacle 25 for a in Fig. 10 shown screw 30. While this threaded receptacle in the first embodiment of Fig. 1 and 2 is already part of the tower housing 21, it is in the second embodiment, as the Fig. 7 to 9 show arranged in a socket 28 from the stability body 26.

The stability body 26 has the following appearance. At the outer end of the sleeve 28 sits a flange broadly widened end piece 35, which upon insertion of the stability body 26 in a bore of the tower housing 21 with an inner profile 29 according to Fig. 9 comes to a mating profile 23 on the tower housing 21 to the plant. This hole 43 is dashed in section of Fig. 6 clarified. In inserted position of the stability body dominates this with Fig. 7 apparent extensions 46 from the end piece 35 on both sides of the tower housing 21. Das ist in Fig. 4 also marked. There are also out there Fig. 7 Particularly well recognizable slope surfaces 24, which, as will be described in more detail below, cooperate with counter-inclined surfaces 34 of the carrier 10 in case of security.

The assembly 21, 26, 30 of the second embodiment of Fig. 6 or the assembly 21, 30 of the first embodiment according to Fig. 1 are mounted from the outside of the door through an opening in the door outer panel in the cutout 18 of the carrier 10. This can be done by a two movement phases having Einrenkbewegung 40, which is illustrated in Fig. By the arrows 41, 42. In a first phase 41, the tower is inserted substantially perpendicular to the door plane, whereupon a transverse thereto phase of displacement 42 of the inserted tower 20 takes place in the carrier 10. When mounting 40 provided on the tower shoulders 22 in Fig. 11 or 3 in their position only indicated counter shoulders 12 from the carrier 10 into engagement. While the shoulders 22 from a in Fig. 6 recognizable groove 27 in the tower housing 21st are formed, the counter shoulders 12 consist of integrally formed on the carrier 10 ribs 17. Die Fig. 3 on the one hand and the Fig. 11 On the other hand, show the final position of the tower 20 after its installation 40 in the carrier 10. It comes from one FIGS. 5 and 6 apparent housing head 36 on the show side of the door in front of the in Fig. 5 dash-dotted illustrated door outer panel 38 to lie. Located next to the housing head 36 of the assembled tower 20, in Fig. 5 shown in phantom, only the previously mentioned fragment of the handle 15 from the shutter. In Fig. 5 the location of the carrier is not drawn.

After installation according to Fig. 3 and 11 the screw 30 is maximum screwed in its threaded receptacle 25 in the tower housing 21 and in the stability body 26. This is in the Fig. 3 and 11 marked by the auxiliary line 30.1 and should be referred to as "release position" of the screw 30. Evidently the Fig. 10 the screw 30 is provided with a flange 32 in the region of its actuating end 31. The release layer 30.1 can be secured in that the flange 32 moves into a flange receptacle 39 in the widened end piece 25 of the stability body 26 or the tower housing 21 and rests there.

In the case of installation of the tower 20, the actuation end 31 of the screw 30, which is initially located in its release position 30.1, is aligned with a passage 37 at one end 14 of the support. From the narrow side of the door, where there is a hole, a turning tool can now be introduced into the tool holder in the actuating end 31. By means of the rotary tool, the screw 30 is then unscrewed from the tower in the direction of the support end 14. On the support is a screw 30 facing stationary support surface 16. The unscrewing movement of the screw 30 ends when the screw 30 on the support surface 16 according to Fig. 12 strikes. Then the unscrewed screw 30 is in its marked by the auxiliary line 30.2 "backup position". In the present embodiment, the stop comes about by the fact that the operating end 31 itself abuts against the support surface 16. Namely, there is the described flange 32, which comes to rest on the support surface 16 in an annular manner. This flange comes with a in Fig. 10 recognizable locking teeth 33 provided in the backup position 30.2 of Fig. 12 into the support surface 16 of the carrier 10 digs. Since the ratchet 33 has a sawtooth profile, the reverse rotation of the screw 30 is out of their Securing position 30.2 significantly more difficult. There is a particularly reliable locking of the tower 20 in its mounting position in the carrier 10 before.

The worker, who has to install such devices in doors or flaps of vehicles, is accustomed, according to the prior art, to turn the rotary tool in a clockwise direction to transfer the serving to secure the assembled tower 20 screw in the known backup position. In the invention, however, the screw is, as described, with its operating end 31 of the tower 30 unscrewed during the securing operation. In the usual "right-hand thread" in the art, therefore, the screw 30 according to the invention would have to be rotated counterclockwise. The worker would therefore relearn during assembly of the device according to the invention and rotate the rotary tool in the opposite direction. This would confuse the worker if he would also attach in the meantime devices according to the prior art. For this reason, it is proposed to form the screw 30 and its threaded receptacle 25 in the tower as so-called "left-hand thread". In this case, the worker can operate the rotary tool in a conventional manner in a clockwise direction, because then the screw is unscrewed from the tower 20 axially. This has the advantage that the worker does not need to pay attention to whether he installed devices according to the invention or devices according to the prior art.

When assembled tower 20 off FIGS. 7 and 9 apparent inclination surface 24 of the end piece 35 from the stability body 26 at one of Fig. 11 recognizable counter-incline surface 34 from the carrier 10 from. In the securing position 30.2, it is not only a strain of the stability body 26 on the mating surface 19 at one end and the voltage applied to the support surface 16 flange 32 of the operating end 31 at the other end, but then there is also a tightening torque, which in Fig. 5 is illustrated by an arrow 19. In Fig. 5 is also the position of the counter-incline surface 34 indicated by dashed lines. When bracing the slope surface 24 moves against the stationary counter-incline surface 34 of the carrier 10 and generates the aforementioned moment 19, which the tower 20 to the in Fig. 5 dash-dot clarified door outer panel 38 draws. In the Fig. 5 Screw axis 44, illustrated by a dashed line, of screw 30 assumes an inclination position which is angled at an angle 45 relative to carrier 10, which in FIG This area is essentially parallel to the one in Fig. 5 dash-dotted lines indicated door outer panel 38 runs.

  6. Device pursuant to Claim 5, thereby characterized in that the cutout (18) for mounting i.e. dismounting the tower (20) simultaneously serves for mounting i.e. dismounting a grip (15) which is likewise mounted from the door exterior next to the tower in the carrier.
  7. Device pursuant to one of the claims 1 to 6, thereby characterized in that the tower (20), on its area facing the actuation end (31) of the screw (30), is provided with a stability element (26) which reinforces the tower,
in that arranged on the carrier (10) are surfaces (34) which are arranged opposite the support surface (16) for the actuation end (31) of the screw (30),
and in that, when securing (30.2) the screw (30), the stability element (26) supports itself on the surfaces (34).
  8. Device pursuant to Claim 7, thereby characterized in that the threaded shaft (25) for the screw (30) is a component of the stability element (26).
  9. Device pursuant to Claim 8, thereby characterized in that the threaded shaft (25) is found in a bushing (28) formed on the stability element (26),
and in that when assembling the stability element (26) to the tower housing (21), the bushing (28) can be inserted in a borehole (43) of the tower housing (21), and together with this tower housing (21) forms a preassembled structural component with the tower (20).
  10. Device pursuant to one of the claims 7 to 9, thereby characterized in that the stability element (26) has on its side (38) facing the tower (20) a profile (29) to which, on the side of the tower (20), a counter profile (23) is assigned,
and in that the profile (29) and the counter profile (23) interlink, at least when loosening (30.1).
  11. Device pursuant to Claim 10, thereby characterized in that the profile (29) provided on the stability element (26) exhibits an inclined surface (24),
in that assigned to the inclined surface (24) is a stationary counter inclined surface (34) on the carrier (10),
and in that, when securing (30.2), the inclined surface (24) supports itself on the counter inclined surface (34) and exercises a torque (tightening torque 19) which draws the tower (20) toward the stationary carrier (10).
  12. Device pursuant to Claim 11, thereby characterized in that the engagement between the shoulder (22) of the tower (20) and the counter shoulder (12) of the carrier (10) forms a tipping position for the tightening torque (19) acting on the tower (20).
  13. Device pursuant to one of the claims 8 to 12, thereby characterized in that the stability element (26) has on its bushing (28) a widened end piece (35),
and in that the end piece (35) exhibits the profile (29) which supports itself on the counter profile (23) of the tower housing (21) during assembly.
  14. Device pursuant to Claim 13, thereby characterized in that, when in an assembled state, the end piece (35) of the stability element (26) exhibits protruding extensions (46) which project above the tower housing (21) on both sides,
and in that the extensions (46) are provided with the inclined surfaces (24) which generate the tightening torque (19) for the tower (20) when securing (30.2).
  15. Device pursuant to one of the claims 1 to 14, thereby characterized in that sitting in the area of the actuation end (31) of the screw (30) is a flange (32) which supports itself on the support surface (16) of the carrier (10) when securing (30.2).
  16. Device pursuant to Claim 15, thereby characterized in that the flange (32), on its side (38) facing the support surface (16), is provided with a blocker toothing (33) which buries itself into the support surface (16) of the carrier (10) when securing (30.2).
  17. Device pursuant to one of the claims 1 to 16, thereby characterized in that the screw (30), in the loosening position (30.1), is screwed to the maximum in the tower housing (21).
  18. Device pursuant to Claim 17, thereby characterized in that the threaded shaft (25) for the screw (30) is a so-called "left-hand thread".
