Claims (6)

  1. Blindage composite, en particulier pour une installation sur un véhicule automobile, composé de plaques individuelles comportant une couche externe (1) d'un matériau de protection de grande dureté et une couche interne (2) d'un matériau de fibres de dureté inférieure, blindage dans lequel chaque plaque présente le long d'au moins l'un de ses chants extérieurs une pièce de renforcement de chant (3) en acier d'une épaisseur prédéfinie et qui est reliée solidement à la plaque,
    caractérisé en ce que la pièce de renforcement de chant recouvre au moins le chant latéral de la couche externe (I).
  2. Blindage composite selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que la pièce de renforcement de chant présente une cornière profilée (3) dont la première branche (3.1) s'étend verticalement à la surface de plaque en recouvrant le chant latéral de la couche externe (1) alors que la deuxième branche (3.2) s'étend au-dessous de la surface de plaque et en parallèle à celle-ci.
  3. Blindage composite selon la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce que la deuxième branche (3.2) de la cornière profilée (3) s'étend en passant sous la couche externe (1) sur une longueur prédéfinie dans la zone entre la couche externe (1) et la couche interne (2).
  4. Blindage composite selon la revendication 3, caractérisé en ce que la deuxième branche (3.2) est intégrée dans la couche interne (2) et sa face tournée vers la couche externe (1) s'étend en affleurement avec la surface limite entre la couche externe (1) et la couche interne (2).
  5. Blindage composite selon l'une quelconque des revendications 2 à 4, caractérisé en ce que la première branche (3.1) de la cornière profilée (3) dépasse de la surface extérieure de la couche externe (1) d'une longueur prédéfinie.
  6. Blindage composite selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 5, caractérisé en ce que la connexion entre la pièce de renforcement de chant (3) et la couche externe et/ou interne (1, 2) de la plaque est obtenue au moyen d'une colle (4, 4.2).
