während des Tabakverarbeitungsprozesses, und zwar mittels des Reinigungsstrahls 18.
Der Reinigungsstrahl 18 kann z.B. aus Heißdampf oder aus einem Hochdruck-Wasserstrahl
gebildet sein. Auch andere flüssige oder gasförmige Medien können zur Bildung

Bei der Vorrichtung 10 gemäß Figur 1 wird die gesamte Schleifeinheit 25 um den Drehpunkt
26 in Richtung des Pfeils D geschwenkt, so daß der Schleifkörper 14 außerhalb
der Schneidebene 13 liegt. Nachdem der Schleifkörper 14 aus der Schneidebene 13 bewegt
wurde, schließt sich das Gehäuse 20, indem das Schließelement 24 in Richtung
des Pfeils E vor die Öffnung 22 bewegt wird. In dem nun vollständig geschlossenen
Gehäuse 20 bzw. dem Reinigungsraum 19 erfolgt das Reinigen des Schleifkörpers 14
getrennt von der Schneidzone 21 durch Entfernen von zwischen den auf der Umfangsfläche
angeordneten Kornspitzen der Beschichtung befindlichen Tabaksoßen- und
Staubresten. Das Reinigen wird durch den aus Heißdampf oder Hochdruck-Wasserstrahl
gebildeten Reinigungsstrahl 18 erreicht. Nach dem Reinigungsvorgang wird das Gehäuse
20 durch Zurückbewegen des Schließelementes 24 entgegen Pfeilrichtung E
wieder geöffnet und die gesamte Schleifeinheit 25 wird wieder in die in Figur 1 dargestellte

Figur 2 vergleichbar ab. Allerdings bleibt der Schleifkörper an seiner eigentlichen

B zur Reinigung gestoppt. Die dadurch ermöglichte Reduzierung der Drehzahl des
Schleifkörpers 14 bewirkt, daß die Fliehkräfte am Schleifkörper 14 so gering sind, daß
das Reinigungsmedium innerhalb des Gehäuses 29 verbleibt bzw. an dem Schleifkörper
14 haftet, ohne in die Schneidzone 21 zu gelangen. Nach dem Reinigungsvorgang wird
die Drehzahl des Schleifkörpers 14 wieder auf Nenndrehzahl gesteigert und der Vorschub
