Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a luminaire with a tubular gas discharge lamp and a concave curved reflector, in front of which a part-light-permeable diffuser is arranged.
  • a lamp of this kind is for example from the WO 01/59364 A1 the applicant and will be described below with reference to Fig. 7 will be briefly explained.
  • the individual elements of the lamp are arranged within a box-shaped lamp housing 107, which is sunk when mounting the lamp in the ceiling of a room to be illuminated.
  • As the light source is a rod-shaped gas discharge lamp 101, below or - seen in the emission direction - in front of a consisting of side reflectors and cross blades grid 106 is arranged. The majority of the light emitted by the lamp 101 is emitted via this grid 106 to the bottom.
  • the gas discharge lamp 101 is spanned by a concave reflector 102 whose side wings are arranged substantially next to the lamp 101.
  • a diffuser 103 is further arranged, which includes two so-called light chambers 104 together with the reflector 102.
  • the diffuser 103 and the reflector 102 converge at their ends remote from the lamp 101, respectively.
  • a portion of the light emitted by the lamp 101 is coupled into the light chambers 104 via the so-called light entry surfaces provided with the reference symbol 105 and emitted downward via the diffuser 103.
  • the area of the luminaire surrounded by the grid 106 is likewise lightly brightened, as a result of which a visually appealing lighting effect is achieved.
  • the diffuser 103 is formed by a one-piece component, which - as in Fig. 7 is shown - is curved in both side areas and has a central Ausknickung, which connects the two curved side areas together.
  • a component can for example be made of PMMA by injection molding.
  • this one-piece design of the diffuser is considered disadvantageous insofar as the possibilities of changing the dimensions of the luminaire are limited thereby.
  • the reason for this is that a specially prefabricated tool is required for the production of the one-piece diffuser, which is exclusively suitable for the production of the diffuser with the given dimensions. If a luminaire with other dimensions is to be produced, then another tool for creating a diffuser with the new dimensions would have to be provided for this purpose, which, however, would considerably increase the manufacturing costs for the luminaire as a whole.
  • the one-piece diffuser can be made in the illustrated special form only of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA).
  • PMMA polymethyl methacrylate
  • PC polycarbonate
  • WO 02/44612 A2 From the WO 02/44612 A2 is a lamp with a lamp, two concave reflectors and a diffuser disc known.
  • the diffuser disc is held by a latching device on the housing of the lamp.
  • a luminaire which has a lamp, on both sides of the lamp concave curved reflectors and in front of the reflectors in each case a prism plate.
  • the present invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a lamp of the type described above, with the same lighting effects as in the known lamp can be achieved, but the aforementioned disadvantages are avoided.
  • the possibility should be created to provide luminaires with different dimensions in a simple manner.
  • the luminaire according to the invention initially has a tubular gas discharge lamp and at least one concave curved reflector arranged on both sides next to the lamp, viewed from the area to be illuminated. Further, a likewise arranged next to the lamp but in front of the reflector teillicht mothermeer diffuser is provided. This consists of two separate transparent plates, which are connected on both sides in addition to the lamp detachable with fastening elements of the lamp.
  • the two diffuser-disc halves are no longer integrally connected to each other, but each individually before, where they can be arranged by the use of suitable fasteners in a simple manner in the desired state.
  • the cost for producing these individual transparent plates is considerably less than that for producing the one-piece diffuser part described above, diffuser plates in different dimensions can be provided in a simple manner become. The possibilities to provide luminaires in different sizes and dimensions are thereby significantly increased.
  • the transparent plates forming the diffuser can also be flat in a simple manner.
  • an even easier production of the diffuser is made possible because the diffuser discs can be easily cut from a larger plate in the appropriate dimensions.
  • the manufacturing cost of the lamp can thereby be considerably reduced again.
  • the reflector may have a support surface directed towards the lamp at its outer edge. This can be achieved for example by a corresponding flanging of the reflector edge.
  • a special spring element is provided according to the invention, which also has a support surface which is fixed to a laterally deflectable spring arm. The installation of the diffuser plates on the lamp is thereby greatly simplified, since the plate only has to be pressed against the spring element and can then be placed on the outer edge of the flanging of the reflector. If the spring element is then relieved again, the diffuser plate is held in the desired position in a simple but safe manner.
  • the light can - seen from the area to be illuminated - in front of the lamp further comprise a light distribution element, which may be, for example, a grid or a teillicht fashionistes perforated plate.
  • a light distribution element which may be, for example, a grid or a teillicht fashionistes perforated plate.
  • this additional light distribution element is also attached to the previously described mounting springs for the transparent diffuser plates.
  • the diffuser and the reflector form two light chambers arranged laterally next to the lamp, the ratio of the width of a chamber to the greatest distance between the reflector and the diffuser being at least 4: 1, and particularly preferably in the range between 4: 1 and 5: 1.
  • the reflector is preferably formed from two concave reflector parts which extend from the center of the lamp in each case to a side edge of the lamp housing.
  • FIGS. 1 to 3 show as an embodiment of a lamp according to the invention a recessed ceiling light, the elements are arranged in a box-shaped lamp housing 7, which is sunk by means of mounting elements 9 in the ceiling of a room to be illuminated.
  • a light source used in the example shown two juxtaposed gas discharge lamps 1, under which a consisting of side reflectors and cross blades grid 6 is arranged.
  • a well-known lamp is a large part of the emitted from the gas discharge lamps 1 - which are preferably fluorescent lamps - emitted light via the grid 6 down, the shapes of the grid 6 are selected so that the downwardly radiated light to a certain Degree is cross-faded.
  • the luminaire according to the invention is thus particularly suitable for illuminating rooms with VDU workstations, since dazzling effects on screen surfaces as well as persons present in the room are largely avoided.
  • a perforated plate which is deposited, for example, with foils, or other optical elements, for example diffusers or prismatic structures.
  • the illustrated two-lamp version of the lamp to use a single lamp.
  • a reflector On either side of the lamp extends a reflector which, strictly speaking, is formed of two concave reflectors 2 extending from the center of the lamp housing to the outside.
  • a diffuser plate 3 In front of the reflectors 2, a diffuser plate 3 is arranged in each case.
  • the reflectors 2 and diffuser plates 3 converge at their respective ends remote from the lamps 1 and thus include two light chambers 4 arranged on both sides next to the lamps 1.
  • the light entry surfaces for the two light chambers 4 are bounded respectively by the upper edge of the grid 6 and the reflectors 2. Since the diffuser plates 3 each extend up to the upper edge of the corresponding side wall of the grid 6, it is avoided that the lamps 1 arranged above the grid 6 can be viewed directly from the side and thus create glare effects.
  • the width a of the light chambers 4 is preferably at least four times as large as the height b of the light chambers 4, ie, the distance between a light entrance surface and the outer end of a light chamber 4 is greater than four times the largest distance between the reflector 2 and the diffuser third As a result, the luminaire is very flat and elegant overall.
  • the size ratio between width a to height b of a light chamber 4 is particularly preferably in the range between 4: 1 and 5: 1.
  • the diffusers 3 appear on both sides of the lamps 1 despite the small height of the lamp as possible over its entire width away in a uniform brightness.
  • the reflectors 2 contributes to the illustrated curved shape of the reflectors 2, which causes a corresponding light control of the light beams coupled into the light chamber 4, on the other hand, additional measures may be provided to achieve the desired uniform luminance.
  • the reflectors 2 could be designed to have a higher reflectance in the outer regions remote from the lamps 1 than in the immediate vicinity of the lamps 1.
  • the diffusers 3 could also have a higher reflectivity in the outer regions Have light transmission.
  • the area behind the reflectors 2 within the lamp housing 7 can be used for example for the arrangement of the control devices for the lamps 1.
  • Fig. 1 can be shown, for example, at the Bottom side of the housing 7, an electronic ballast 8 are arranged.
  • the reflectors 2 it is also possible to form the reflectors 2 partially transparent and to arrange further lamps in the areas behind the reflectors, whereby additional lighting effects can be achieved. This possibility is in the WO 01/59364 A1 described in detail. In general, it should be noted that all in the WO 01/59364 A1 variants described for the arrangement of lamps and use of partially transparent or colored optical elements can also be realized in the present invention lamp.
  • the peculiarity of the lamp according to the invention consists, as already mentioned, in the realization and mounting of the diffuser disks 3. According to the present invention, these are two separate transparent disks which are held in the luminaire by special fastening elements.
  • the diffuser plate 3 lies with its outer edge on an inwardly directed support surface 2a.
  • This support surface is formed by a crimping edge of the reflector 2, so that a support of the plates 3 is achieved on the respective outer side in a simple manner and without the need for additional measures.
  • a fastening spring 5 consists of three parts, a base 5a, a side surface forming a spring arm 5b and a bearing surface 5c.
  • the base 5a has two holes 5d, which allow attachment of the mounting springs 5 via two screws 10 to the lamp housing 7, as shown in the FIGS. 1 . 2 B and 3 is shown.
  • the spring arm 5b is arranged on the underside of a support surface 5c is formed, which in turn is aligned perpendicular to the two aforementioned surfaces 5a and 5b.
  • the assembly of a diffuser plate 3 then takes place in that the plate 3 is first pressed against the spring element 5 in such a way that the spring arm 5b deflects inwards.
  • the outer edge of the diffuser plate 3 is then placed on the flange of the reflector 2a and then the spring arm 5b relieved again, whereby the plate 3 is clipped in a simple manner in the desired position.
  • the fastening spring 5 not only serves to hold the diffuser plates 3.
  • the grid 6 has for this purpose in its end regions of the side reflectors on a suitable profiling with a recess 6a, with the help of a clamping effect achieved with the mounting springs 5. Since the side walls of the grid 6 are themselves formed slightly resilient, the grid 6 can be clipped after mounting the diffuser plates 3 in a simple manner from the bottom to the spring elements 5.
  • the diffuser plates 3 are formed in the example shown as a flat plates, so that they can be made in a particularly simple and cost-effective manner. However, it would also be conceivable to provide the plates in a slightly concave curved shape. The assembly of the concave curved plates in the luminaire would in turn be done in the same way as described above.
  • a material for the diffuser plates both polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) and polycarbonate (PC) can be used.
  • Fig. 5 shows a reflector 2 seen by itself in section. This consists essentially of three areas, on the one hand the concave central area 2b, the outer area 2c with the flange 2a and an inner area 2d.
  • Fig. 6 shows a stamped sheet metal part, which corresponds to the in Fig. 5 shown reflector can be deformed. To mention are in particular the two slots 12 in the interior 2d of the reflector, which allow easy installation of the reflector in the lamp. For this purpose, two T-shaped trained retaining clips 11 are provided, which - as in the Fig. 1 and 3 is shown - are attached along the center of the bottom side of the lamp housing 7 above the lamps 1.
  • the present invention thus provides a luminaire which has the same photometric properties as the known luminaire. Also, the appearance of the lamp according to the invention substantially equal to the already known lamp, but the lamp according to the present invention can be made much easier and cheaper.
  • the inventive solution of using two separate diffuser plates facilitates u.a. also the mounting of the plates in the luminaire housing.
