Definitions
- the invention relates to a straightening system for a rocket launcher, in particular a straightening system for aligning the missiles when shooting to a predetermined destination.
- Such a straightening system is, for example, from EP 1096218 known.
- the functional elements of a conventional straightening system are shown in FIG.
- the output shaft 10 of a motor 9 drives the input shaft 8 to a self-closing under load safety brake device.
- the engine is a hydraulic engine.
- the rocket launcher installed on a vehicle will be referred to as a load hereinafter.
- the output shaft 10 of the safety braking device is connected to the load.
- the load itself is not shown in this description.
- the function of the safety braking device is to prevent the severely unbalanced, i.e. down driving load even in case of failure or incorrect control of the holding brake on the engine (the holding brake on the engine is not shown in Fig. 1) or failure or malfunction of the drive motor to keep safe and secure against uncontrolled falling down. Furthermore, as the unbalanced load is lowered, the brake converts the potential energy that would otherwise heat up the oil.
- the output shaft 1 can only rotate as fast as the shaft 8 is driven. As soon as the load tries to overtake the shaft 8, the brake is turned off via the inclined surfaces 5 and 5 'and the brake is closed.
- the safe support of the load achieved with this device could also be achieved with a built-in drive train self-locking gear or a self-locking spindle or worm.
- the advantage of the prior art safety brake described above over such a self-restraining transmission is that the described device has a much better lift lifting efficiency than e.g. would be the case with a self-inhibiting snail.
- the brake is worn and the brake is heated.
- the wear limits the number of operations of the straightening system and thus the life of the brake.
- the heating of the plant also limits the Number of consecutive alignments down.
- the braking work per unit time of each friction brake is limited, whereby the speed when lowering the load is limited.
- the object of the invention is to provide a straightening system for a rocket launcher which avoids the disadvantages mentioned above.
- the drive for straightening a weapons system a self-closing under load safety brake device and arranged on the output shaft of the safety brake electric motor, wherein the electric motor is driven so that it supports the previous drive when lifting the load and when lowering the load, a recovery of energy allows.
- the energy for the straightening process is taken from the vehicle battery.
- the battery is discharged when the load is started up. While shutting down the load requires less energy from the battery than at startup, conventionally no energy could be returned to the battery. Therefore, the battery had to be charged after a short time from the internal combustion engine of the vehicle, which led to undesirable noise. According to the invention, a rapid discharge of the battery and an undesirable noise development can be avoided.
- the straightening system according to the invention uses a conventional safety brake for maximum safety and also the advantages of the electric drive technology.
- control of the drive motor is designed so that it is used only for opening the safety brake when lifting, while the additional electric motor is controlled so that it causes the torque to lift the load.
- control of the additional electric motor is designed so that it only causes an additional torque when particularly high torques are required to lift the load.
- control of the drive motor is designed so that it is controlled when lifting and lowering the load with the same regulatory law, while the control of the additional electric motor is designed so that it is controlled by a non-linear control law.
- Fig. 2 shows a safety brake according to FIG. 1 with a further motor 11 which acts on the output shaft 1 of the brake.
- the state of rest executed in the prior art - holding the load against the weight - is carried out by the same elements as described in connection with FIG. 1.
- the lifting of the weapon is taken over by both motors 9 and 11.
- the engine torques are summed up mechanically.
- the motor 9 must, as in Fig. 1, open by a rotation of the safety brake.
- the downward movement of the load can not be faster than it is determined by the rotation of the brake by this motor 9.
- the required energy at the motor 9 is always positive, that is, the engine requires energy from the power supply to open the brake, and can not operate in generator mode due to the already described function of the safety brake.
- the receding potential energy of the load is converted into heat in the brake.
- the motor 11 is driven to operate in generator mode when the load is shut down and to supply at least a portion of the potential energy of the load to the power source, i. the battery of the straightening system, preferably the vehicle battery, fed back.
- the power source i. the battery of the straightening system, preferably the vehicle battery, fed back.
- FIG. 3 used block diagram used. Therein, the essential mechanical and electrical functional elements of the drive system are described as transmission blocks and the interaction of the blocks as connecting lines.
- a target signal 12 for the position of the missiles at launch which is e.g. calculated by a fire control computer, specifies the position of the load.
- the current position 13 of the load is determined with a position sensor (not shown) and compared with the desired signal 12 to calculate a position error signal 14.
- the position controller 15 transmits a signal 16 dependent on the magnitude of the positional deviation 14 as a velocity setpoint 16.
- This speed set point 16 is compared with the motor speed 17 measured at the motor 9 '.
- the difference between the two signals 16 and 17 is transmitted as a speed error signal 18 to the speed controller 19.
- the motor 9 ' is identical to the motor 9 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
- the speed controller 19 outputs a signal 20 dependent on the error signal 18 to the current controller 21 of the motor 9 '.
- the motor 9 ' generates from the current specified by the current regulator, the motor torque 23, which sets the output shaft 24 depending on the attacking counter torque in rotation with the speed 17.
- the control of the motor 9 ' is thus carried out according to the principle of cascade control known in the art.
- the output of the current controller 22 provides the current required for the movement of the motor 9 '. It is irrelevant whether the motor is a three-phase or a DC motor.
- the output torque 23 of the engine is determined in each case by an electric current associated with the motor.
- the torque 23, which gives off the engine is in the drive shaft of the engine 10 and the with this associated mechanical parts 24 converted into a rotation, which is measured as a speed 17 and compared as described with the speed reference value 16 of the motor.
- the current setpoint signal 20 is also forwarded in the system according to this invention via a non-linear signal transmission block 25 to the control loop of the second motor 11 '.
- a signal 26 is formed depending on the magnitude and sign of the current setpoint 20 '.
- a signal 26 proportional to the signal 20' is formed with the same sign as the current setpoint 20 '.
- no signal is forwarded, up to a certain amount, then a proportional negative signal.
- a torque is generated in the motor in the direction of the load.
- the current controller 28 of the second motor 11 a signal 20 proportional to the desired value 26 is offered.
- This positive current setpoint 26, as defined by the motor 11 'on the load, causes a torque acting in the same upward direction as the torque of the motor 9'.
- the transmission blocks of the control circuit for the motor 11 ' namely the current controller 28, the motor 11' and the mechanical parts 29 connected to the motor 11 'cause, as already described for the motor 10' control loop, the rotation of the motor.
- the speed of the motor 11 ' is also measured and the speed signal 32 is offered to the speed controller 30 with a negative sign.
- the speed controller 30 no speed setpoint is offered, ie the setpoint is always zero.
- the rotation of the motor 11 ' is converted via the mechanical parts 33 into a torque 34.
- the rotation of the motor 9 ' is also converted via mechanical parts 35 into a torque 36.
- Both torques form a common, the load driving torque 37.
- the summed torques 37 of the two motors accelerate the load up when the sum of these torques is greater than the restoring torque 38 of the load.
- the amount of restoring torque of the load 38 depends on the position of the load and the number of missiles on the rocket launcher, as indicated in the transfer block 39.
- the structure of the control according to this functional pattern takes into account all load conditions.
- the behavior of the control is described below for the individual operating states.
- the motor 9 ' is given a current sufficient to open the safety brake and to rotate in the load-down direction.
- the load follows the speed of the motor 9 'and can not overtake this.
- the motor 11 ' is not on the signal 26 controlled as long as the load follows the engine speed.
- the output value of the transmission block 25 remains zero.
- the motor 11 ' is driven via the mechanical connection with the load in the direction of load-down.
- the speed of the motor 11 ' is measured and fed via the signal 32 to the speed controller 30.
- the speed controller 30 tries to control the speed to zero, since there is no setpoint for the speed.
- a counter torque is built up to the restoring load.
- the motor 11 ' operates in the generator mode, i. electrical energy is fed back into the battery and also slows down the movement of the load down.
