Definitions
- the invention relates to a ski binding according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the present invention has for its object a ski binding Generic type to create, which is still good leadership and Power transmission property due to less effort when skiing or cross-country skiing, i.e. distinguished by lifting the heel of the shoe and by one Cross-country or touring position can be switched to a telemark position.
- the object according to the invention is achieved by means of a ski binding, in particular Touring, telemark or cross-country ski binding, to determine one Ski boot with a shaft and sole, with a front, the front Sole end associated holding element, one for attacking the front sole or formed on the heel of the ski boot rear holding element, and one between front and rear holding element effective clamping device, by means of which the ski boot can be so clamped between the front and rear holding element, that his paragraph can be raised freely, in which the front holding element is relative for binding or for the ski on the one hand and relative to the rear holding element on the other to be transverse to the binding or sole longitudinal direction and approximately parallel to the sole tread extending axis pivotally mounted and a switching element is provided, by means of the if necessary, in particular for Telemark, around the assigned axis pivotable front holding element is blocked.
- a ski binding in particular Touring, telemark or cross-country ski binding
- the essential essence of the invention is therefore that the front holding element, that e.g. can be designed in the manner of a toe iron, relative to the binding or to the ski on the one hand and relative to the rear holding element on the other by one extending transversely to the sole longitudinal direction and approximately parallel to the sole tread Axis is pivotally mounted. So the front holding element is quasi “dynamically” trained. The consequence of this is that the front holding element hardly resists lifting the heel. This will be achieved that the front holding element of the movement of the front sole end relative to the rear holding element or a connecting part between the front and can follow the rear holding element. So the front sole end will not forcibly by the front holding element on the top of the binding or depressed on the ski deck surface so that the front sole end is always extends parallel to the ski deck, regardless of lifting the heel.
- Another essential core idea of the invention is that the pivoting of the front holding element by means of a switching element in a predefined Position can be blocked. This ensures that the front area the sole of the shoe, which is held in the front holding element, held down on the ski becomes.
- the heel of shoes can essentially only be achieved through flexibility of the front sole and the associated binding plate. By this measure So the contact zone between sole and binding can be enlarged and optimize the guidance of a ski.
- the switching element is preferably designed as a lever which has at least two latching positions has a blocking or telemark position and a release or Touring position between which it can be pivoted.
- the switching element is designed so that it has a holding mechanism for blocking the front holding member.
- the holding mechanism can for example, be formed by a recess into which the front holding element engages so that pivoting or pivoting the same blocks is.
- a hook or the like stop can also serve as a holding mechanism.
- the switching element is biased, in particular by means of a spring. On this ensures that the switching element in the blocking position for the front Holding element is pushed.
- the switching element is designed in this way or acts with the rest of the binding, in particular a locking lever thereof so together that an automatic spring back of the switching element under Release of the front holding element is effectively prevented.
- the release position In the release position is in the switching element against the biasing force, ie. H. against the aforementioned spring, pushed back and for example by means of a Holding hook fixed in this position.
- the front holding element is in this position freely pivotable about the axis assigned to it. Raising the front sole is not hindered in this position. It is therefore advantageous in this release position Suitable as a touring or cross-country skiing position.
- the switching element of the binding according to the invention thus has two locking positions on the one hand an essentially unlimited lifting of the heel and thus an optimized movement sequence for cross-country skiing or on ski tours and on the other hand, namely in the locked position, an optimized guidance of a Enable telemark skiing. Further rest positions, especially in intermediate or slightly raised sole position are conceivable.
- the front holding element is a strap overlapping the front sole end of the ski boot, attached to the binding is pivotally mounted about a horizontally extending transverse axis, and both relative to the binding or to an associated mounting plate or to one of these associated housings, as well as relative to the rear holding element.
- This swivel bearing is independent of the swivel bearing of the front Retaining element.
- This independent swivel bearing from the front holding element and rear holding element is a central point of the present construction.
- the connecting part is preferably in the longitudinal sectional plane of the binding flexible plate. In principle, a rigid plate is also conceivable especially when the rear holding element is at the rear end of the front sole or attacks in the ball area of the ski boot.
- the rear holding element is at a right angle to the binding or sole or ski longitudinal direction and approximately parallel to the sole tread or Axis of the ski deck surface pivotally mounted.
- the pivot axis for the rear Holding element coincides with the pivot axis for the front holding element. This advantageously saves weight.
- the arrangement of a tensioning device should be mentioned as particularly advantageous, in particular spring tensioning device between the rear and front holding element, by clamping the ski boot between the front and rear holding elements is guaranteed.
- the tensioning device is designed so that the rear Holding element is movable in the longitudinal direction of the shoe or ski, namely against the Effect of a forward biasing the rear holding member Feather. So there are relative movements of the sole between the front and rear Clamping point when lifting the heel can be compensated for without the fixation of the shoe is impaired.
- the rear holding element is basically is held in the open or entry position, by a lock that is released when entering the binding, so that the holding element is then due the action of the tensioning device in the shoe fixing position.
- the rear holding element at the rear end is a horizontal one Transverse pivotally mounted connecting part, preferably by means of one, for example guide rail, or the like guide device, longitudinally displaceable stored, the pivot axis of the connecting part at the same time the pivot axis assigned to the rear holding element.
- the connecting part is as a plate which is flexible in the longitudinal sectional plane of the binding is formed. To this Way it is possible to have an anatomically favorable while running or walking Roll the foot.
- it is flexible Plate equipped with a certain spring action, which is the provision of a straight foot position and a tracking of the ski favors.
- the connecting part a stop on, in the telemark position with the shift lever in operative connection stands.
- This stop ensures that it is a flexible plate trained connecting part in telemark position when lifting the heel bends up in its front area.
- the stop is preferably a metal part, in particular a steel pin or steel plate, formed, which protrudes beyond the front edge of the connecting part. It is also possible to design this stop as an integral part of the connecting part.
- the front holding element can thus be in the closed or telemark position Swivel the shift lever forward with play, whereby this game is dimensioned is that the pivoting movement of the connecting part only blocks when lifting becomes.
- the stop associated with the connecting part can be provided with a damping mechanism, for example in the form of a spring or other elastic Part (Flexor), assigned, its counterforce until a final Stop progressively increases so that a "hard” stop is avoided.
- a damping mechanism for example in the form of a spring or other elastic Part (Flexor), assigned, its counterforce until a final Stop progressively increases so that a "hard” stop is avoided.
- the invention can the operative connection of the stop associated with the connecting part on the one hand and the counterpart on the gear lever on the other hand without any freedom of movement be provided.
- the tensioning device has one end on the rear holding element connected while the other end is behind the pivot axis for the connector and front holding member with an operating mechanism for Closing and opening the binding is coupled (articulation).
- the rear holding element is accordingly counter to the actuation mechanism Effect of the tensioning device can be brought into the open position depending on whether pulling or Compression springs are used.
- the tensioning device accordingly has at least two functions, namely front and rear holding element against each other to fix a shoe and also a provision ensure between shoe and ski (flexo function).
- the actuating mechanism and the switching element are preferably so designed that the switching element interacts with the actuation mechanism, wherein in particular the two locking positions of the switching element by the mentioned Interaction are defined.
- this is the actuating mechanism, which under serves to get in and out of the binding, before the Switching element arranged and has an undercut or a counter hook on, in or on which a retaining hook against its bias towards engages or acts on the actuating mechanism.
- the actuating mechanism is used, among other things, for switching on and off Get out into and out of the binding and can be tilted so that he defines the open and closed positions of the binding.
- the actuating mechanism for this includes dead center levers in their two positions maximum possible deflection the open and the Define the closed position of the binding. Another security mechanism there is no need for the binding to be in the open or closed position.
- Both the shift lever and the over-center lever are advantageous by means of a common compression spring, in particular arranged between them, preloaded, namely the gear lever in the telemark position and the dead center lever in the closed position.
- the rear holding element can be used as a holding cable or as a holding bracket, in particular as engaging bracket is formed on the underside of the front sole.
- a prior art which goes back to the applicant. Otherwise, this prior art is characterized in that the front holding member rigidly attached to the binding and so that it is attached to the ski.
- the front holding element is one horizontal transverse axis pivotally mounted.
- this storage allows only a pivoting relative to the binding or to the ski, but not relative to the rear holding element or to a connecting part between the front and rear holding element. Accordingly, the front sole end is also subject to in this embodiment, a squeeze when lifting the heel.
- the front holding element according to Art a pivotably mounted toe iron.
- the front holding element can additionally in front of its pivot axis an elastic element, namely a flexor in the form of a rubber or elastomer cushion be assigned, being between the flexor and the front sole end overlapping part of the front holding element the front sole end is placeable.
- the heel of the shoe can be raised against the action of this flexor become. This will reset the ski to the tread of the sole additionally promoted, which is wanted in the so-called diagonal run.
- this Running style it is desired and wanted that a restoring force, especially progressively increasing restoring force between shoe and binding depending arises from lifting the heel. If necessary, the Flexor be removed. This makes lifting the heel of the shoe easier.
- the rear holding element has two axes which are approximately perpendicular includes pivoting jaws, which counteract the action of an elastic element, in particular a compression spring or torsion springs with lateral release of the Shoes can be swung out sideways.
- the ski binding shown schematically in Figures 1 to 6, which as a touring, Telemark or cross-country ski binding is designed with the reference number 24 characterized. It includes one on the top surface of a not shown Ski mountable mounting plate (not shown). At the top is a front one Sole holding element 9 around a parallel to the ski deck or mounting plate and pivotally mounted transversely to its longitudinal axis 8.
- the Front holding element 9 is in the manner of a cross over the front sole edge Toe iron trained. It includes a U-shaped bracket, which is the front Overlaps the sole end of a ski boot, not shown, and this in the Bond holds.
- an actuating mechanism 1 in the form of a at the front end a slide back and forth within the binding housing Actuating plate 15 articulated operating lever arranged.
- the swivel mounting of the front holding element 9 and the rear holding element 5 is a essential point of the present construction, which is a substantially constraint-free Allowing the heel to be lifted even in the telemark position of the binding, in which the front end of the sole is essentially immovable on the Bond is held.
- the connecting part 7 is as a in the longitudinal sectional plane Binding 24 flexible longitudinal plate formed. Basically there is also one rigid plate conceivable, especially when the rear holding member 5 on the rear Attacks the end of the front sole or in the ball area of the ski boot. As required the connecting part 7 can also be designed to be interchangeable.
- a tensioning device is located between the rear holding element 5 and the front holding element 9 2, 3, in particular spring tensioning device effective.
- this includes Spring tensioning device 2, 3 at least one, preferably two, in the longitudinal direction extending compression springs 2, which the rear holding element towards front, i.e. in the direction of the front holding element 9 and thus in the shoe fixing position Pretension.
- the spring tension can be adjusted by means of a tension screw 4 become. Since the spring tensioning device 2, 3 is basically one per se known construction is involved, a detailed description of the same is unnecessary here.
- the compression spring (s) 2 is preferably within a outer housing 3 are arranged. One end of the compression spring (s) 2 is with a coupled forward from the housing 3 protruding rod, the corresponding Fig.
- the rear holding element 5 can be fixed in the open position of the binding, this fixing when entering the bond should be removable (step-in mechanism).
- the rear holding member 5 includes one on the underside of the front sole not shown ski shoe engaging bracket. This bracket is in Open towards the front.
- the rear one Holding element 5 can also be formed in two parts, in particular two by about vertical axes have pivotable jaws that counter the effect of a elastic element, in particular torsion spring (s) with lateral release of the Ski boots can be swung out sideways.
- This embodiment is not detailed here shown. However, it represents a not inconsiderable security element, in particular when excessive torsional forces occur.
- the front holding element 9 is parallel to one another Cross axis 12 extending pivot axis 8 pivoting shift lever 11 assigned by means of a helical compression spring 13 towards the front Holding element 9 is biased.
- This helical compression spring 13 is therefore supported on the one hand on the shift lever 11 and on the other hand on a connecting web 22 between two spaced apart and each in the longitudinal direction of the ski extending dead center levers 14, the dead center lever 14 on the the pivot lever 12 assigned to the shift lever 11 on the one hand and on the actuating lever 1 are articulated on the other hand.
- the latter link moves with Actuation of the actuating lever 1 via a connecting line between the shift lever pivot axis 12 and the linkage of the actuating lever 1 on the front End of the actuator plate 15 away.
- This connecting line represents an over-center line
- the helical compression spring 13 urges thus by their action on the connecting web 22 mentioned between the Dead center levers 14 the actuating lever 1 in the closed position. simultaneously it pushes the shift lever 11 into the so-called telemark position of the binding, in that the shift lever 11 only a limited pivoting of the front holding element 9 allowed around the assigned pivot axis 8.
- This maximum swivel motion in the aforementioned position of the shift lever 11 is shown in Fig. 8. It is approximately 6 ° to 10 °. This will also bind in the telemark position an unrestrained lifting of the heel is achieved.
- the front end of the The sole of the shoe can be put together by lifting the heel by about 6 ° to 10 ° with the associated holding element 9 pivot about the axis 8.
- the Front holding element 9 thus extends in the closed or telemark position of the Shift lever 11 with play downwards or towards the ski until one front holding element 9 associated stop of the shift lever 11 is effective. This measure keeps the connection part moving more smoothly or the sole plate about its or its pivot axis, i.e. to the Swivel axis 8 around.
- the shift lever 11 is from front holding element 9 decoupled.
- the holding element 9 is in this position Shift lever 11 unaffected by the connecting part 7 around the pivot axis 8 swiveling. This allows the holding element 9 to be unimpeded relative to Swivel connecting part 7.
- the actuating lever 1 is longitudinally displaceable at the front end mounted actuator plate 15 articulated.
- the rear end of the flush plate 15 includes the articulation 16 of the spring tensioning device 2, 3, the the rear end is in turn connected to the rear holding element 5.
- the rear Holding element 5 is thus interposed by spring tensioning device 2, 3 with the actuating plate 15 and thus with the actuating or closing lever 1 connected.
- Fig. 1 is the open position 25 of the binding and the associated Actuating lever 1 shown. In the remaining figures, the binding is in Closed position 26.
- a projection with an upward projecting retaining hook 20 is formed at the front of the shift lever 11 .
- This retaining hook 20 is when pivoting of the shift lever 11 in a front touring position corresponding to FIG. 6 with a counter hook formed on the underside of the actuating lever 1 21 can be brought into operative connection. In this position, the shift lever 11 also held securely by the helical compression spring 13. This is the shift lever 11 safely decoupled from the front holding element 9, with the result that the front holding element 9 can pivot freely about the pivot axis 8.
- the shift lever 11 is also a translational one sliding switching element could be used.
- FIG. 2 shows the binding according to FIG. 1 in the closed or telemark position.
- the operating lever 1 is folded back in this position.
- the operating lever 1 By turning this over the operating plate 15 to the front and also with the operating lever 1 operatively connected over-center lever 14 moved or pivoted downwards, with its articulation point on the actuating lever 1 via the above mentioned above dead center line into a lower stable closed position.
- the actuating plate 15 simultaneously is with the actuating plate 15 with the interposition of the spring tensioning device 2, 3, the rear holding element 5 along the connecting part 7 to the front moved to a shoe fixing position.
- FIG. 3 corresponds to that according to FIG. 2, with only additional in FIG. 3 a shoe front sole 27 is shown.
- the lower one shows front edge 28 a distance 29 (see FIG. 2) from this lower edge 28 associated nose-like projection 18 of the shift lever 11, which on the front holding element 9 associated side of the shift lever 11 is formed.
- the connecting part 7 also has one at its front end protruding stop 10 which e.g. in the form of an integrated in the connecting part 7 Metal plate can be formed.
- This stop 10 is on the switching element 11 counter stop 19 arranged below the mentioned stop 18 assigned, preferably with a small distance below the stop 10 is designed so that when lifting the heel of the shoe and pivoting accordingly of the connecting part 7 first stop 10 / counter stop 19 effective before the lower edge 28 when the shoe heel is raised further of the front holding part 9 comes into contact with the associated projection 18.
- the Interaction of stop 10 and counter-stop 19 has the main advantage that when lifting the heel of the shoe, the pretension on the rear holding element 5 is increased, due to the relatively strong bending of the connecting part 7 in the front area, as can be seen very well in FIG. 5.
- stop 10 and counter-stop 19 only act in the telemark position of the Shift lever 11 together.
- Der Stop 10 can also be formed as an integral part of the connecting part 7.
- FIGS. 1 to 5 shows the binding according to FIGS. 1 to 5 in the closed position and simultaneously Touring position.
- the shift lever 11 is assigned to the Swivel axis 12 pivoted forward so that the holding hook 20 with the counter-holding hook 21 locked on the operating lever 1.
- neither the connecting part 7 still the front holding element 9 on pivoting about common pivot axis 8 prevented.
- the operating lever 1 To switch lever 11 back into the Bring telemark position according to Figures 2 to 5, the operating lever 1 only to be lifted slightly in order to lock retaining hooks 20 and release hook 21.
- the shift lever 11 is then by the helical compression spring 13 automatically swung back into the telemark position.
