Description

The present invention relates to a multi-informative label and, in a more general way to an information carrier of the label type, attached to a container, container, packaging containing or containing any product, whether food or otherwise, and consisting of a piurafité of leaflets carrying each information.

It is already known to provide containers such as bottles or the like reported items in addition to conventional labeling or labeling, and consisting of additional labels or counter-labels or a informative support of more or less complex structure, such as a small booklet or a structure cut out of cardboard, secured by various means of the container.

Generally, these reported items carry related information more or less directly to the product contained in the container.

These systems are not practical and are expensive because of their nature and their mode of implementation. US-A-5738382 discloses a multicomponent label which consists of two elements and two independent sheets an adhesive coating between the two. US-A-5,263,743 describes a non-adhesive bridging in the junction area between the front slip and its extension, for example for the passage of a knife.

The present invention aims to provide a simple multi-informative means unique combination of the various functions played separately by the devices known all of which lead to divide the usable space on the container between a area for conventional and mandatory labeling and another area assigned to an additional display of information.

For this purpose, the subject of the invention is a multi-informative label intended to be adhesively secured to the outer wall of a container, container or analogue, containing or containing any product, consisting of a superposition of at least two sheets each bearing on at least one of the faces information, the back sheet being likely to be fixed by all its surface against said receiving wall, characterized in that the front leaflet has a first edge arranged so that the front and rear sheets are, when the label is in place, pressed against each other, and in that the front leaflet has along a second edge opposite said first edge, a tear strip.

According to a preferred embodiment, said first edge of the sheet front is extended by an overflow portion of the rear slip, this part being capable of being adhesively secured to said receiving wall and being separated from the remainder of the sheet by a fold line which may also be allow a possible separation.

The label may have any contour of any shape and size, depending in particular on the nature of the container, for example a bottle in glass or plastic containing a liquid food product or not, or even a metal box containing a food can or any liquid.

According to a preferred embodiment, the label has a general shape rectangular, the overflow part of the front sheet extending through example along one of the side edges of the label. Along the edge opposite is advantageously formed in the sheet before a band detachable vertical separated from the rest of the leaflet by a first line of less resistance, said detachable strip being attached to the back sheet and separated from the latter by a second line of least resistance.

To facilitate the detachment of said strip, it is advantageously provided with a transverse thread of lower resistance delimiting a detachment tab.

The label can of course have more than two sheets superimposed, for example three sheets, the third being interposed between said front sheet and said back sheet and secured to the latter to the right of a folding line. Thus, a folded one-piece label is obtained in three overlapping sections.

The label may also include four or five leaflets, or even six leaves, superimposed.

Generally speaking, the so-called back slip is flanked along one of its edges of the sheet says before and, along an opposite edge, of leaflets number 3, 4, 5 or 6, which are subsequently separated by lines of folding and either folded or rolled accordion so that the stacking of leaves form a thin, flat set, the dimensions of the leaflet said before which preferably has the function of a conventional label, for example a bottle of wine.

In a variant, the front leaflet can be extended in overflow back sheet and attached to another folded leaflet between the front and back, the part of this other sheet overflowing the back sheet being coated with an adhesive, and possibly extended by one or several other leaflets folded accordion or rolled.

Other information available on the label can be found on the inner face of the front leaflet, on the outer face of the rear leaflet and on the two sides of the complementary sheets interposed.

The tearing of the detachable strip releases the front leaflet which can then be opened as a page of a book, by pivoting along the said fold line of its overflow portion of the back sheet. Any eventual intermediate leaflets are then freely accessible and can be deployed or unfold.

The subject of the invention is also a method for producing such labels, more particularly, although not exclusively, intended for the labeling of bottles of wine or the like.

More specifically, the subject of the invention is a production method a multi-informative label in one piece and consisting of a leaflet front hinged on a back slip along one side of the label, the slip the back being or not secured to one or more intermediate sheets, from a paper support having a sizing face and a printing face, characterized in that the printing of the exposed face, after installation, of the sheet before is performed on the sizing face of said sheet, while on the opposite side to the sizing face of the back sheet are made a printing using a preferably opacifying ink and a coating an overprint varnish.

Such a label is more particularly intended for laying in chain or mechanic:

According to another embodiment, the front leaflet has an edge facing one edge of the back sheet, the two facing edges being connected by a bead of adhesive.

FIG. 1 shows a label according to the invention, rectangular format, type wine bottle label for example.

The label consists of two rectangular leaflets likely to overlap, respectively a sheet 1 said before because intended to carry the conventional information of a label and therefore necessarily and in all cases visible when the label is set up on the bottle and a sheet 2 said back intended to be fixed by adhesive on the bottle.

The two sheets 1, 2 are secured to the right of a fold line 3 defining for example the left vertical edge of the label, this line also showing less resistance to allow separation later, as will be seen later.

According to the invention, the front leaflet 1 is overflowing by relative to the back sheet 2, the right for example of the right vertical edge 4 of this sheet 2.

The projecting portion 5 of the sheet 1 has for example a strip shape narrow rectangular separated from the remainder of the sheet 1 by a line 6 of folding.

In the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 1, the front sheet 1 also includes on its left flank a narrow rectangular strip 7, for example identical to the band 5 and separated from the rest of the sheet 1 by a line 8 of least resistance.

Finally, in the upper part of the strip 7, a net is transverse 9 of least resistance, delimiting a triangular tab 10 of detachment.

The label (1, 2) is a single piece of suitable material such as paper, cardboard, plastic film, metal, flexible suitable for a collage or any other fixation on a flat or curved support of any kind, according to the intended uses.

FIG. 2 illustrates a label E of the type of FIG. a bottle of wine B for example.

The front sheet 1 occupies the entire visible face of the label and carries all necessary or useful traditional information.

The label E is stuck on the bottle, on the one hand, by the back sheet 1, whose entire face facing the bottle is fixed by means Conventional Bonding and in the usual way and, on the other hand, by protruding strip 5 of the front sheet 1, the rear face of said strip 5 being also in its entirety glued on the bottle B.

E labels are manipulated and put in place by means conventional, the labels being individualized and stored in the folded state, the glue or adhesive coating is carried out in the manner known on the face rear of the label, the two sheets 1, 2 are plated on one another.

When we want to access the information carried by the internal side of the sheet 1 and the front of the sheet 2, simply remove the tab 10 (figure 2) which makes it easy to detach the tear strip 7, the lines 3 and 8 being lines of least resistance. Then, sheet 1 is deployed (Figure 3) by pivoting to the right of line 6 in the manner of a page of delivered.

It should be noted that the position of Parts 5 and 7 of the E label could be reversed, the detachable strip 7 being to the right of the label and the sheet 1 opening to the left of the bottle and no longer to the right as on the figure 3.

Alternatively the tear strip could be, as illustrated in 7 'on Figure 1, adjacent to line 6. In this case, after removal of the strip 7 ', the leaflet, the leaflet unfolds by pivoting around line 3. tear strip could also be always vertical but remotely both lines 3 and 6, for example in the central zone of the label, the sheet 1 dividing after removal of the strip in two half-sheets by pivoting around lines 3 and 6 respectively.

According to yet another variant, in the case of surface of affixing labels flat, can be provided in the front sheet 1 several bands parallel and side-by-side, horizontally disposed.

FIG. 4 illustrates a variant of a three-leaf label, namely a front sheet 1 attached to a rear sheet 2, itself extended by a third sheet 12, of the same format as sheet 2 and interposed between sheets 1 and 2.

The sheet 12 is free and is simply hinged on the back sheet 2 along the edge 4 of the latter.

When the label of Figure 4 is in place for example on a bottle, it has strictly the same appearance as the label of Figure 2.

The deployment of the sheet 1 (Figure 5) releases the sheet 12 which can rotate around the fold line 4 (confused with line 6) to reveal the information on both sides of the sheet 12 as well as on the visible side of sheet 2 and that, of course, the back side of sheet 1.

Line 4 may be a line of least resistance allowing the total and clean detachment of the sheet 12 if desired. For this purpose, line 4, as well as the fold line 3 and that lines 6 and 8, can be advantageously provided with aligned micro-perforations.

Optionally, the sheet 12 can be extended on its free edge 13 then acting as a fold line, or even a line of least resistance, by a fourth sheet shown in dashed lines at 14 in FIG. 5 and likewise format as the sheet 12.

An even greater number of leaflets, five, six or more, may be provided by being attached to the edge 4 of the back sheet 2 and being folded accordion as illustrated in Figure 5 or rolled.

In general, the label according to the invention is of a single holding and consisting of leaflets following each other.

The outline of the label can be arbitrary, rectangular, square, polygonal, curvilinear, etc. Along one side or part of the contour, the sheet called before (1) and the leaf said rear (2) are integral and articulated, even detachable, while on at least one other side or at least one other part of said contour, the so-called before sheet (1) is in partial overflow the rear leaflet (2), intermediate sheets, if any, such as sheets 12 and 14 of FIGS. 4 and 5, having a format of preference but not necessarily similar to that of the rear slip 2.

In the embodiment of FIG. 4, the sheets 1 and 2 are articulated along the left vertical edge, while the front slip 1 overflows the backsheet 2 on the right vertical edge of the label. The arrangement can of course be reversed as for the realization of Figure 2.

Similarly, the articulation between sheets 1 and 2 could be along the upper or lower horizontal edge and the protruding band 5 at the bottom or top of the label provided that a detachable strip is provided, in opposition to the band exceeding the front sheet 1 for the deployment of this latest.

Positioning variants of the stripping strip 7 of the embodiment of FIG. 1, of course, apply to the embodiment of Figure 4.

FIG. 6 illustrates another variant embodiment of the label of the 1, according to which the strip 5 of the front sheet 1 is notched in 15 to reveal an extension 16 of the same dimensions of the sheet back 2.

Once the label is in place, the band 5 is completed by the part 16, but the two parts of this band can be individualized by a code colors or specific information indicating that behind the slip 1, there is more information to discover.

Figure 7 illustrates the same principle applied to a label of the type of Figure 4 to three sheets respectively 1, 2, and 12, the two sheets not visible 2 and 12 being reported by parties, respectively 17 and 18 integral with said leaflets and appearing in notches provided effect, namely 19 in the detachable strip 7 of sheet 1 and 20 in the sheet 12.

The principle of Figure 7 is applicable to the label of Figure 1, the notch in the tear strip 7 showing part of of the back sheet 2.

It should be noted that in the label of Figure 7, the tear strip 7 could be in any other place, for example adjoining line 6.

Of course, numbers, shapes, dimensions and local locations in the label of said cooperating notches or extensions may vary to a large extent.

According to another variant, the label may comprise a front leaflet 1 that is not overflowing the back sheet 2. For this purpose, the sheet before 1 has an edge opposite one edge of the back sheet 2, both edges being bound, in the manufacture of the label, by an adhesive bead.

Figure 8 illustrates such an embodiment. We have shown in 1 the front sheet with its detachable strip 7 bounded by the line of lesser resistance 8 and the folding line 3 separating the front sheet 1 and the back sheet 2, the other two opposite edges of these two sheets 1, 2 being joined and bound by an adhesive bead 21 running over the entire height of the label.

FIG. 9 illustrates a variant in which the back sheet 2 is prolonged, at the right of the adhesive bead 21 linking the sheets 1 and 2, by a first inner leaf 12, itself extended by a second inner leaflet 14, the sheets 1, 12 and 14 being folded accordion.

It should be noted that these same leaflets could be arranged rolled up.

In 7, is designated the detachable strip of the front sheet 1, this strip may also be placed in another place, for example, adjacent to the cord 21

FIG. 10 represents a label according to FIG. 9, the sheet 1 being deployed, after detachment from band 7, which could be placed there too another place, for example, adjoining the cordon 21.

Figure 11 illustrates yet another variant according to which the leaflet before 1 extends, opposite its hinge edge 3 on the slip rear 2, by a portion 5 overflow of the back sheet 2, which part 5 is itself extended by another sheet 22 folded between the front leaflet 1 and the back sheet 2 and itself extended by yet another leaflet 23 (or more), said additional leaflets (22,23) being folded into accordion or rolled.

The portion 24 of the sheet 22 which projects beyond the back sheet 2 is coated of an adhesive, this part 24 being delimited by a line 25 facing the line 4 and ensuring the gluing of the front sheet 1 on the label holder.

In 7 is shown the tear strip of the front sheet 1. This band 7 could be arranged in another place, for example in juxtaposition to part 5.

Preferably, the sheet 22 does not extend opposite the band 7. These are thus obtained labels which have on both their opposite side edges the same thickness (two sheets). This facilitates flat storage of stacked labels that remain horizontal, which would not be the case if one of the edges of the labels had a different thickness from the other side.

For the same reasons, the storage of such pre-adhesive labels and deposited on a silicone web roll gives a symmetrical roll.

In all the embodiments described above, the tab 10 can be replaced or supplemented by an associated element reported having even help function for entering the tear tape. This element could be for example, a strip, a zipper, a drawstring or other, positioned at the inside of the label protruding at the height of the tear strip and ensuring easy opening. In FIG. 7, FIG. element consisting of a strip inserted between sheets 1 and 12, glued on sheet 1 and protruding with a freely accessible end to height of part 1 8. In the case of the embodiment of figures 8 and 9 this element could be a thread incorporated in the adhesive bead 21, the band pulling being adjacent to this cord 21.

Finally, the various leaflets of the label according to the invention can carry all kinds of information related or not to each other as well as to contained in the bottle, container, container, etc ... provided with said label and be individualized by any graphics, colors, etc .....

It should be noted that a flat chip can be placed inside of the label, on one of the faces of a leaflet for purposes such as traceability or control

The subject of the invention is also a method for producing such labels, in particular labels as shown in the drawings and suitable for chain or mechanical installation.

For this purpose, the subject of the invention is a method for producing a multi-information label in one piece and consisting of a front sheet articulated on a back sheet 2 along one side 3 of the label, the sheet rear 2 being or not secured to one or more intermediate sheets 12, 14, from a paper support having a sizing face and a face of printing, characterized in that the impression of the exposed face, after laying, the front sheet 1 is made on the sizing face of said sheet 1, however, on the opposite side to the gluing side of the back sheet 2 an impression is made using a preferably opacifying ink and a coating of an overprint varnish.

In such a label the exposed face after laying is, as well as the face of the back sheet 2 stuck on the bottle B, on the sizing face of the support paper. It is known that this sizing face has an appearance Physical (more matte and rough) different from the (smoother) face intended for printing.

This makes it possible, in particular, to produce self-adhesive labels stored on roll.

Moreover, the use of an opacifying ink for the realization of a printing on the exposed side of the back sheet 2 and a coating of a varnish of overprint on this same face, on the one hand, avoids, the collage of the laminated sheet on the back sheet and, on the other hand, makes it possible to print that does not show on the exposed side of the label in place.

In the absence of such a varnish, the glue of the gluing face of the sheet back 2 might migrate through it.

It should be noted that it is possible to reproduce on the exposed side of the leaflet 2 the informative content of the exposed face (front sheet 1) of the label, thereby satisfying the regulation of wine labeling, specifying that the support of this informative content must necessarily adhere by any its surface to the container.

Claims (16)

1. Multi-data label adapted to be secured adhesively on the external wall of a receptacle, container or the like (B), containing or enclosing any product, constituted by a superposition of at lesser two sheets (1, 2) each bearing data on at lesser one of its surfaces, the rear sheet (2) being adapted to be secured over all its surface against said receptacle wall, characterized in that the front sheet (1) has a first edge arranged such that the front and rear sheets (1 and 2) will be, when the label is in place, pressed against each other and in that the front sheet (1) has at lesser one tear-off strip (7).
2. Label according to claim 1, characterized in that said first edge of the front sheet (1) is prolonged by a portion (5) that extends beyond the rear sheet (2), this portion being adapted to be fixed adhesively on said receptacle wall and being separated from the rest of the sheet (1) by a bend line (6) that can also permit possible separation.
3. Label according to claim, 1 characterized in that said first edge of the front sheet (1) is prolonged by a portion (5) that extends beyond the rear sheet (2) adjacent another sheet folded between said front and rear sheets (1 and 2), the portion of this other sheet extending beyond the rear sheet (2) being adapted to be fixed adhesively on said receptacle wall, said other sheet being if desired prolonged by one or several other sheets bent in accordion fashion or rolled.
4. Label according to claim 1, characterized in that said first edge of the front sheet (1) faces an edge of the rear sheet (2), the two facing edges being connected by an adhesive line (21).
5. Label according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that said tear-off strip (7) adjoins said first edge of the front sheet (1).
6. Label according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that said tear-off strip (7) adjoins another edge of the front sheet (1).
7. Label according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that said tear-off strip (7) is parallel to two opposite edges of the front sheet (1) and spaced from each of these edges.
8. Label according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that it comprises several parallel tear-off strips, side by side, disposed parallel or orthogonal to said first edge of the front sheet (1).
9. Label according to claim 2 or 3, characterized in that it is of a single piece and constituted by adjacent sheets (1, 2, 12, 14), the front sheet (1) being articulated to the rear sheet (2) along one side or one portion of the contour of the label, said tear-off strip (7) adjoining the bent edge (3) of the front and rear sheets (1 and 2).
10. Label according to claim 9, characterized in that the sheets (1, 2, 12, 14) have a rectangular shape and are accordion folded or rolled.
11. Label according to claim 10, characterized in that the front sheet (1) has an extending strip (5) along one lateral edge of the label, the tear-off strip (7) being provided along the opposite lateral edge, adjoining the rear sheet (2) and separated from this latter by a first line of lesser resistance (3) as well as from the rest of the front sheet (1) by a second line of lesser resistance (8).
12. Label according to one of claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the or each tear-off strip (7) comprises means facilitating detachment, such as a tab (10) and/or a connected element (26) that projects.
13. Label according to one of claims 1 to 12, characterized in that the bend lines (3, 4, 13) separating the various sheets (1, 2, 12, 14) and/or the lines of separation (6, 8) provided on the front sheet (1) comprise micro-perforations.
14. Label according to one of claims 2 and 9 to 13, characterized in that the extending strip (5) of the front sheet (1) is provided with a notch (15) exposing a portion (16) of the rear sheet (2).
15. Label according to one of claims 1 to 14, characterized in that the tear-off strip (7) is provided with a notch (19) exposing a portion (17, 18) of at least one of the sheets (1, 2, 12).
16. Process for the production of a label according to any one of claims 1 to 15, from a paper support having a gluing surface and a printing surface, characterized in that the printing of the exposed surface, after application, of the front sheet (1) is provided on the gluing surface of said sheet (1), whilst on the surface opposite the gluing surface of the rear sheet (2) is provided printing with the help of a preferably opacifying ink and a coating of a varnish over the printing.
