Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'une solution d'agents de tannage contenant du sulfone. Ce procédé consiste à a) produire un composant A au cours d'un processus consistant à : a1) faire réagir du phénol avec de l'acide sulfurique concentré, de l'oléum comportant 20 à 65 % en poids de SO3, ou un mélange d'acide sulfurique et d'oléum comportant 20 à 65 % en poids de SO3, le rapport molaire entre l'acide sulfurique totale sous la forme SO3 et le phénol étant compris entre 0,7 : 1 et 1,5 : 1, à une température comprise entre 100 et 180 DEG C, pour obtenir un mélange contenant de l'acide phénolsulfonique, du sulfone de dihydroxydiphényle et de l'acide sulfurique, ou à mélanger ces composants individuels pour former un mélange correspondant ; a2) puis à condenser ledit mélange à une température comprise entre 40 et 90 DEG C par mole d'unités de phénol présentes avec 0,25 à 4 moles d'urée et 0,5 à 4 moles d'un aldéhyde aliphatique comportant 1 à 6 atome(s) de carbone ; a3) à éventuellement porter le pH à une valeur comprise entre 4 et 5 en ajoutant une base ; b) produire un composant B au cours d'un processus consistant à : faire réagir du sulfone de dihydroxydiphényle avec 0,5 à 5 moles d'un aldéhyde aliphatique comportant entre 1 et 6 atome(s) de carbone avec 0,4 à 2 moles de sulfite de sodium par mole de sulfone de dihydroxydiphényle, à une température comprise entre 90 et 180 DEG C ; b2) à éventuellement porter le pH à une valeur comprise entre 3,5 et 5,5 en ajoutant un acide ; c) mélanger 10 à 90 % en poids du composant A avec 90 à 10 % en poids du composant B (la somme de A et B étant équivalente à 100 % en poids), et si cela n'a pas été effectué lors de l'étape a3) et b2), porter le pH du mélange à une valeur comprise entre 3,5 et 5,5.
