Definitions

  • the invention relates to a rotatable jewelery ring with at least one ring part designed as an inner ring and at least one concentric ring part designed as an outer ring, and with at least one intermediate rolling bearing for supporting the rotatability of the outer ring around the inner ring.
  • jewelry rings here are especially finger rings but also bracelets and similar ring-shaped jewelry.
  • Rotatable jewelry rings of the type mentioned are known, in particular rings, in which an outer ring is rotatably mounted on an inner ring and in which a rolling bearing, in particular a ball bearing, supports the rotation.
  • a rolling bearing in particular a ball bearing
  • US-A-2,060,345 shows a ring with ball bearing
  • the outer ring part can be filled with gemstones.
  • FR-A-824,527 shows a bangle constructed on the same principle with ball bearings, wherein the outer ring part is covered with numbered areas of different color, so that it is suitable for gambling.
  • the utility model DE-U-94 02 319.0 shows a decorative system with embodiments as a ring or bangle, which consist of an inner ring member and an outer ring member, separated by one or two bearings of rolling elements.
  • CH-A-692016 shows a rotatable jewelery ring in which between the outer ring and the inner ring a rolling bearing is arranged, which has as rolling elements cylindrical or conical rollers.
  • DE-A-197 34 457 shows a rotary ring with a self-centering angular contact ball bearing whose ball bearing rows are arranged on the inner edges of a recess of the ring base.
  • the middle part is mounted on balls, which are made of precious metal or sapphire and ruby. Each ball of the ball bearing touches the ring base in each case in two points and the movable middle part in one point.
  • the main object of the invention is a rotatable jewelry ring, which has as a rolling bearing between an inner ring and at least one easily rotatable concentric outer ring at least two ball bearings and has improved impact resistance.
  • a jewelry ring having the features specified in claim 1, namely by the jewelry ring has certain means for protecting the ball bearing pair against impact.
  • Another object of this invention is therefore to offer jewelry rings according to the main task, in which a subsequent expansion is possible without affecting the rotation of the outer ring.
  • the inner ring has on its outer side a circumferential recess which at least partially surrounds the outer ring, wherein each ball bearing is preferably arranged between the approximately radial side surfaces of the recess of the inner ring and the side surfaces of the outer ring.
  • This invention offers the additional advantage that the ring, unlike the rotatable jewelry rings of the prior art, can be subsequently adapted by widening the jeweler without losing its rotatability.
  • the bearing guides or cups used for guiding and holding the balls used as rolling elements can be generally formed by part-circular recesses of the inner ring and the outer ring to allow easy rotation despite rich fit.
  • a pure sliding of the balls used as rolling elements on the respective adjacent recesses of the adjacent ring parts is usually disadvantageous.
  • the bearing line of each bearing element is detached during a movement of adjacent bearing lines, which means as rolling.
  • the inventive rotary ring 30 is shown in Fig. 1 in a semi-schematic sectional view.
  • the inner ring 31 is formed for later explained reasons of the production of two ring parts 311, 312, which together form the peripheral recess 300 shown in Fig. 1a, which surrounds the outer ring 32 at least partially.
  • the outer ring 32 protrudes out of the recess 300 of the inner ring 31 by only about 10-30% of its thickness, but may also protrude considerably further if the outer ring 32 has a corresponding thickness and the ball bearing guides 321a, 321b at the lower end of the Outer ring lie.
  • the rolling bearing 34 which is preferably formed between the approximately radially extending annular surfaces 301a, 301b and 322a, 322b from two ball bearings 341, 342, is particularly effectively protected against impact impacts.
  • the recess 300 has the approximately rectangular-trough shaped cross-section shown in FIG. 1a, but this is a preferred and noncritical feature since round or trapezoidal cross-sectional shapes of the recess 300 are also possible.
  • the recess 300 extends around the entire inner ring 31. It is expediently formed by two corresponding mating parts 311, 312 are assembled to form the inner ring 31, preferably after a temporary connection of the rolling elements of the two ball bearings 341, 342th with the outer ring 32, ie at its circumferential guide grooves 321a, 321b, e.g. agent of an adhesive.
  • Adhesives based on polymers such as polyvinyl acetate, acetyl cellulose or the like, which are dissolved in a volatile or aqueous solvent and, after solidification, are again soluble in the solvent, ie not crosslinked, can be used as adhesives.
  • polymers such as polyvinyl acetate, acetyl cellulose or the like, which are dissolved in a volatile or aqueous solvent and, after solidification, are again soluble in the solvent, ie not crosslinked, can be used as adhesives.
  • starch adhesives, greases or waxes can also be used as adhesives, provided easy removability is ensured.
  • the recess 300 of the inner ring 31 has a bottom surface 310, which is preferably at least as far apart from the inner surface 320 of the outer ring, that the only contact between the inner ring 31 and the outer ring 32 via the two ball bearings 341, 342, which run in corresponding guide grooves 302, 321 of the inner ring 31 and the outer ring 32, preferably also here with a circular arc-shaped cross section.
  • connection of the two parts 311, 312 of the inner ring 31 to form the recess 300 is not critical and can be accomplished by various known methods including interference fit, interference fit, gluing, soldering or welding, wherein the temporary connection of the outer ring with the balls of the bearings 341 342 should be modified accordingly.
  • connection is shown by the processing shown in Fig. 1b.
  • the peg-shaped projections 314 of the partial ring 311 are press-fitted into the corresponding recesses 315 of the inner ring part 312.
  • the connection can in this case be accomplished by simply compressing the ring parts 311, 312, of course after previous insertion of the outer ring 32 detachably connected to the balls.
  • the visibility of the ball bearings 341, 342 can be modified by appropriate dimensioning of the distances between the inner ring 31 and outer ring 32 and also here, the above-mentioned decorative elements on the outer surface of the outer ring 32 and / or in accordance with a wider version of Edges 318, 319 of the recess 300 are also attached to the outside of the inner ring.
  • the grooves 321 a, 321 b in the outer ring may be expedient to execute the grooves 321 a, 321 b in the outer ring as deep or deeper as the guides 302 a, 302 b of the inner ring, because this can serve to increase the stability of these "hanging rolling bearings" and / or facilitates the assembly.
  • the inner and outer rings are usually made of the usual for rings precious metals or precious metal alloys, but may also consist of other materials, such as stainless steel, titanium, silicon, light metal, hard metal or ceramic materials, such as those based on silicates or of silicon or alumina.
  • the rolling elements may consist of the materials listed for the rings, but the materials used for the rings and the rolling elements preferably visibly differ at least on their outer side. This can be achieved in a conventional manner but also by coating, for example by electroplating or by vapor deposition in vacuo.
  • the outer rings and / or the inner rings may be provided with gemstones or jewelry inserts or jewelry pads, as is known for rotatable jewelry rings.
  • various means for increasing the impact resistance can be combined with one another, for instance by forming the outer ring, which is arranged in one section in a recess of the inner ring, from a plurality of parts, which in turn are supported against each other via ball bearings arranged therebetween.
  • the protection of the hanging bearing can also be achieved with recesses, which comprise the outer ring even more than the above-described rectangular-trough-shaped recess, such as when the recess and / or the outer ring are round or the recess tapers trapezoidally outwardly, provided that the retention capacity of the ball bearings allows this.
  • the outer surface of the outer ring also aligned with the outer surface of the inner ring, or have a common curvature.
  • the outer ring can be practically completely surrounded by the inner ring and, for example, protrude only with periodically or aperiodisch distributed around the circumference of the outer ring protrusions to trigger the desired rotation of the outer ring by a corresponding operation.
