- the invention relates to a mascara brush for applying a mascara mass on the eyelashes comprising a plurality of between two twisted wire sections fixed, from these outwards upstanding bristles whose free ends are tapered.
- Such a mascara brush is known from the market.
- Such bristle tips can while penetrating well into the spaces between individual eyelashes, which is a prerequisite for a good combing result of the mascara brush is, but have too low rigidity.
- the bristle ends are therefore when, in the course of a make-up process, two eyelashes should be separated and this while combing a certain resistance is overcome, often bent and leave the gap between these eyelashes without actually combing. Used Brushing with stiffer, thicker bristles, these are too thick to get into Interspaces of tight-fitting eyelashes penetrate.
- the invention it has been recognized that it is for separating two adjacent Eyelashes is sufficient, a tapering parallel to the direction of combing To provide silhouette of the bristles. In the direction perpendicular thereto has contrast, the cross-sectional configuration of the bristles little or no Influence on the suitability of the bristles to separate the eyelashes.
- the invention wedge-shaped bristles therefore unite the principally opposing Properties of good release effect on the one hand and the good rigidity required for combing on the other. Additionally offer the wedge-shaped molded bristle tips are more distant from each other, into which the isolated eyelashes can penetrate, especially brushes, their bristle tips evenly distributed on the brush surface are.
- Free ends of the mascara brush with a roof or chisel-shaped Configuration lead to the optimization of the property pair separation effect on the one hand and combing effect on the other.
- leave in cross-section wedge-shaped free ends of the bristles also by end workedes Bevel the bristles.
- the outer edges of the ends are approximately parallel to each other and approximately perpendicular to the twisted wires.
- This Edge contour ensures that the silhouette of the bristle ends at the implementation of the make-up process wedge-shaped, whereby at normal handling of the mascara brush good combing properties result from this.
- different long bristles can be provided and it can only the ends the longer bristles may be wedge-shaped in cross-section. additionally to the longer bristles that have the advantages already described have, ensure the shorter bristles of this embodiment a good cleaning or application effect of the mascara brush.
- the ends of the bristles may be ground. Let such bristles to produce easily and inexpensively.
- bristle diameters in the range between 0.1 and 0.4 mm, wedge lengths between 0.5 mm and 15 mm and Angle ⁇ between the longitudinal axes of the bristles and the brush longitudinal axis exposed between 45 ° and 135 °. In these parameter areas an efficient combing effect with at the same time good cleaning or effect of the mascara brush.
- FIG. 1 shows a mascara brush 1 according to the invention Way two mutually twisted wire sections having soul. 2 carries a plurality of bristles fixed between the wire sections 3. Possible materials for the bristles 3 are polyamide, polyester, Polyacryl, PET, natural hair and vegetable fibers. As FIG. 2 shows, stand the bristles 3 relative to the longitudinal axis of the soul 2 radially gone outside. The soul 2 is in Figure 1 to the left towards a handle portion 4, which is only partially shown.
- FIGS. 6 and 7 show an end section protruding from the core 2 5 of a bristle 3 on an enlarged scale.
- the free end of the end section 5 is tapered wedge-shaped.
- the end section 5 Wedge surfaces 6 and 7, which at the free end of the end portion 5 after Combine type of roof ridge in a terminal edge area 8.
- the wedge-shaped is similar pointed end portion 5 of the tip of a watchmaker's screwdriver.
- the wedge surfaces 6, 7 close with a plane 9, both on the plane of the drawing Figure 7 as well as on a median plane perpendicular thereto of the end portion 5 is perpendicular, a wedge angle ⁇ of 80 °.
- the Wedge length L ie the length of the end portion 5 between the end edge region 8 and an end portion 10, in which the wedge surfaces 6, 7 in a Outer surface 11 of the end portion 5 open, is 2.5 mm.
- the End section 5 has a cylindrical basic shape outside the wedge area with a diameter d of 0.25 mm.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 show that the ridges of the end edge regions 8 are vertical stand on the longitudinal axis 13 of the soul 2. As shown in FIGS. 4, 5, 9 10 and 10, this orientation allows the end edge regions 8 shows a defined engagement of the end edge regions 8 between adjacent ones Eyelashes 14 emanating from an eyelid 15. In the eyelid 15 adjacent eyelash root area indicate the adjacent eyelashes 14 even in the uncombed state a separation is the direction of the eyelash line on. This separation is shown for example in FIGS. 4 and 9 clear. FIG. 9 also shows that the bristles 3 of the mascara brush 1 have a thickness and a distance from each other such that they fit well in can intervene this separation.
- FIG. 10 shows in direct comparison the difference in Separating and combing power between the mascara brush according to the invention 1 and a mascara brush 16 according to the prior art with non-pointed or wedge-shaped bristles 17.
- FIG. 10 shows that the end edge regions 8 of the bristles 3 of the mascara brush 1 according to the invention also between closely adjacent Eyelashes 14 can intervene.
- the bristles 17 of the prior art mascara brush 16 also on free end of their end sections compared to a diameter that is large with the distance between adjacent eyelashes 14. A separation of adjacent Eyelashes 14 is therefore with the bristles 17 of the mascara brush 16 hardly possible according to the prior art.
- FIG. 13 shows a stage of the make-up process in which the mascara brush 1 the eyelid 15 is approximated with the eyelashes 14, without first come into engagement with the eyelashes 14. The mascara brush 1 is then held so that the end portions 5 of the bristles 3 as close as possible to the origin of eyelashes 14 in the interstices intervene between them. This position is shown in FIG. 9. Subsequently the mascara brush 1 is pulled away from the eyelid 15, wherein the Bristles 3 remain in engagement with the eyelashes 14 and share them and comb.
- This pulling movement is preferred by a rotation of the Mascara brush 1 supported around its longitudinal axis 13, wherein the direction of rotation such that the one with the eyelashes 14 in engagement Page of the mascara brush 1 from the origin of the eyelashes 14 at the eyelid 15 faster than the soul 2.
- Alternative or additional An upward / forward movement can assist this pulling movement.
- An intermediate state during this removal in which the Eyelashes 14 are already completely divided, is shown in Figure 12. Due to the rigidity of the end portions 5 in the direction parallel to the combing Mid-plane bending this while sharing and combing the eyelashes 14 not through.
- Figure 15 shows the stage of the make-up process, immediately after the mascara brush 1 after combing again out of engagement with the now combed eyelashes 14 is present.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a mascara brush for applying a mascara mass on the eyelashes comprising a plurality of between two twisted wire sections fixed, from these outwards upstanding bristles whose free ends are tapered.
Such a mascara brush is known from the market. There are the free bristle ends as tips before. Such bristle tips can while penetrating well into the spaces between individual eyelashes, which is a prerequisite for a good combing result of the mascara brush is, but have too low rigidity. The bristle ends are therefore when, in the course of a make-up process, two eyelashes should be separated and this while combing a certain resistance is overcome, often bent and leave the gap between these eyelashes without actually combing. Used Brushing with stiffer, thicker bristles, these are too thick to get into Interspaces of tight-fitting eyelashes penetrate.
It is therefore the object of the present invention to provide a mascara brush of the type mentioned in such a way that the Make-up result of one performed with the mascara brush Make-up process is improved.
This object is achieved by a mascara brush of the type mentioned, in which the free ends of at least one Part of the bristles are wedge-shaped in cross section.
According to the invention it has been recognized that it is for separating two adjacent Eyelashes is sufficient, a tapering parallel to the direction of combing To provide silhouette of the bristles. In the direction perpendicular thereto has contrast, the cross-sectional configuration of the bristles little or no Influence on the suitability of the bristles to separate the eyelashes. The invention wedge-shaped bristles therefore unite the principally opposing Properties of good release effect on the one hand and the good rigidity required for combing on the other. Additionally offer the wedge-shaped molded bristle tips are more distant from each other, into which the isolated eyelashes can penetrate, especially brushes, their bristle tips evenly distributed on the brush surface are.
Free ends of the mascara brush with a roof or chisel-shaped Configuration lead to the optimization of the property pair separation effect on the one hand and combing effect on the other. Alternatively, leave in cross-section wedge-shaped free ends of the bristles also by endseitiges Bevel the bristles.
Preferably, the outer edges of the ends are approximately parallel to each other and approximately perpendicular to the twisted wires. This Edge contour ensures that the silhouette of the bristle ends at the implementation of the make-up process wedge-shaped, whereby at normal handling of the mascara brush good combing properties result from this.
In one embodiment of the mascara brush, different long bristles can be provided and it can only the ends the longer bristles may be wedge-shaped in cross-section. additionally to the longer bristles that have the advantages already described have, ensure the shorter bristles of this embodiment a good cleaning or application effect of the mascara brush.
The ends of the bristles may be ground. Let such bristles to produce easily and inexpensively.
Particularly advantageous are bristle diameters in the range between 0.1 and 0.4 mm, wedge lengths between 0.5 mm and 15 mm and Angle β between the longitudinal axes of the bristles and the brush longitudinal axis exposed between 45 ° and 135 °. In these parameter areas an efficient combing effect with at the same time good cleaning or effect of the mascara brush.
