Description

The present invention relates to a bed, for example a hospital bed, fitted with a backrest capable of pivoting between a horizontal position and a series of inclined positions, so as to bring the patient in this bed, one lying state to a raised state, or even substantially seated.

This backrest supports the patient's back and head and corresponds about 2/5 of the bed length.

In order to improve patient comfort and decrease the feeling of compression on the abdomen when the backrest is tilted, it is generally provided with means allowing it to slide simultaneously in direction of the head of the bed.

We thus know from document FR-2 770 397, an equipped bed a backrest maneuvered by an actuator and mounted on a chassis, so as to make a translational movement towards the head of the bed, when lifting.

This backrest is also provided with two connecting rods. The first connecting rod is articulated on the frame, (near the headboard) and in the middle of the backrest. The second connecting rod is articulated at the base of the backrest and on the chassis, substantially in line with the user's pelvis. The tilt of the backrest in direction of the vertical causes a simultaneous displacement thereof towards the head bed.

Also known from document WO-97/05 803, a table examination or bed facilitating the passage of a patient from the lying position to the standing.

This examination table has legs, an articulated frame and a rigid mattress having a bust section, a seat section and a section feet.

The articulated frame supporting the rigid mattress can occupy a first position in which the three sections of the mattress are horizontal and one second position in which the bust and foot sections of this mattress are substantially vertical, so that this examination table turns into a chair.

When the bust section of the mattress is brought into the chair position, it can slide simultaneously with respect to the frame rails, in the direction from the head of this exam table.

However, the structure of this device is extremely complex.

The object of the present invention is to develop a bed such as above, of a simple structure and operation and which makes it possible to reduce considerably the pressure exerted by the backrest, on the back and the abdomen of the patient using this bed, when this backrest is straightened.

This goal is achieved using a bed, especially a hospital bed, comprising a frame surmounted by a sleeping surface, this frame having a fixed part substantially horizontal and a tilting part capable of pivoting, under the action means for adjusting its inclination around a first horizontal axis, perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of said bed, said sleeping plane comprising at least one back-forming plane, guided in translation relative to said tilting part of the chassis, so that it can slide in the direction of the headboard or in the opposite direction, respectively when lifting or the lowering of said tilting part of the chassis.

The fixed part 10 constitutes the basic structure of the bed and comprises in particular two longitudinal sections 100, 100 ′ parallel, interconnected by a series of crosspieces including the horizontal crosspiece 101. This cross member 101 extends perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the bed, symbolized by the median longitudinal axis XX of this bed. It is positioned roughly in line with the size of the patient lying in the bed.

The tilting part 11 of the chassis comprises at least one, and preferably two, longitudinal beams 110, 110 ', parallel to each other, preferably extending on either side of the median longitudinal axis X-X' of the bed. This axis 112 is disposed between the cross member 101 and the foot of the bed, substantially in line with the patient's buttocks. It is capable of moving by lateral translation, substantially horizontally and perpendicular to the longitudinal direction XX ' of the bed.

To this end, each end of the axis 112 is received in a profile in "C" 102, respectively 102 ', open towards the interior of the bed, and mounted respectively on each profile 100, 100 'of the chassis.

These “C” sections 102, 102 ′ have the function of guiding of the axis 112 during its movement in lateral translation.

Celle-ci est montée pivotante autour d'un axe 32 traversant l'extrémité de la tige du vérin hydraulique 30 et elle est soudée sur l'axe 112.The bed according to the invention further comprises adjustment means 3 the inclination of the tilting part 11 of the chassis. These adjustment means 3 comprise a hydraulic cylinder 30 extending longitudinally under the bed and a rod 31. This is pivotally mounted about an axis 32 passing through the end of the rod of the hydraulic cylinder 30 and it is welded to the axis 112.

According to a first alternative embodiment of the invention not illustrated in the figures, the longitudinal beams 110, 110 'could be articulated around transverse axis 112 instead of being welded to it.

According to a second variant, also not shown in the figures, the axis 112 supporting the beams 110, 110 'could be fixed and would then play the role of a crosspiece and it is the travese 101 which would be mobile in translation inside "C" sections which would act as a movable axis.

The bed also comprises two identical connecting rods 4, respectively 4 ', allowing the backrest 20 to move in translation relative to the part tilting frame 11. The 4 'link bears the same references as the 4' link plus the sign '.

As illustrated in Figure 2, the rod 4 'has one end 40 ', called "connection end", pivotally mounted around the crosspiece 101 thanks to a rotation ring 400 '.

As it appears better on the detail view of Figure 4, the opposite end 41 of said rod 4, called "displacement end" is pivotally mounted around an axis or a pin 42 passing through the beam longitudinal 110 and extending parallel to the crosspiece 101. This axis 42 is located between the two opposite ends of the beam 110.

Il est ainsi interchangeable en cas d'usure des dents 44.The displacement end 41 of the link 4 is covered with a removable end piece 43 having a series of gear teeth 44. This end piece is advantageously made of plastic, while the other parts of the chassis are metallic. It is thus interchangeable in the event of wear of the teeth 44.

The teeth 44 extend radially over at least part of the periphery of the end of the end piece 43, in a vertical plane. They are capable of meshing with a series of orifices 203 provided on the lower face 201 of the backrest 20. These orifices 203 are advantageously blind orifices, so as not to lead to the upper face 200 of the backrest 20 These orifices 203 are regularly spaced on a line extending in the longitudinal direction XX ' of the bed.

According to a simplified variant embodiment, not shown in the figures, the end piece 43 does not exist and it is the displacement end 41 of the link 4 which directly carries the gear teeth 4.

Finally, the bed comprises guide means 5, respectively 5 ', backrest 20 during its sliding movement relative to the part tilting frame 11.

Il s'étend parallèlement à l'axe 42.As illustrated in FIG. 5, the guide means 5 ' include a guide finger 50 'capable of sliding inside a oblong hole 51 '. More specifically, the guide finger 50 'crosses the beam 110 'right through (see Figure 6), to protrude on its side 1100' facing the inside of the bed. It extends parallel to the axis 42.

The oblong hole 51 'is formed opposite said finger 50', inside an element 52 'attached to the underside 201 of the backrest 20 and making protruding from it. More specifically, this element 52 ′ has a section vertical in “C”, the opening of which is oriented towards said lower face 201. The oblong hole 51 'is delimited by this element in "C" 52' and the face lower 201 of the backrest.

Other guiding devices operating on the same principle of a guide finger cooperating with an oblong orifice could also be provided, the guide finger being provided on the face of the side member 110, 110 'facing of the backrest and the oblong opening being provided on the underside 201 of the backrest 20 or vice versa.

The operation of the bed will now be described by making reference to Figures 2 and 3.

In the starting or lying position, the backrest 20 and the tilting part 11 of the chassis are substantially horizontal.

The actuation of the hydraulic cylinder 30 causes the displacement of the piston rod in the direction of the head of the bed, which has the effect of causing the displacement of the rod 31 in this same direction.

Une seule est représentée sur la figure 3 (inclinaison d'environ 35°).The axis 112 of the tilting part 11 of the chassis also moves in lateral translation, inside the profiles 102, 102 ', in the direction of the head of the bed. This movement, combined with the presence of the rods, 4, 4 ', causes the progressive raising of the tilting part 11 of the chassis. The tilting part 11 of the chassis can thus be raised up to an angle of inclination of approximately 70 ° by compared to the horizontal. All intermediate positions are also possible. Only one is shown in Figure 3 (inclination of approximately 35 °).

These teeth mesh with the orifices 203 of the backrest 20, which has the effect of causing the backrest 20 to slide in the direction of the head of the bed (arrows F ).

Ce bord est mince de façon à pouvoir glisser facilement entre un matelas et ce plan support 22.When the basin support 21 is flexible and secured to the backrest 20, it follows the movement and also moves towards the headboard (arrow F 1 ). The fact that the basin support 21 is flexible allows it to deform and adopt the desired curvature. The transverse edge 211 slides on the thigh support plane 22. This edge is thin so that it can slide easily between a mattress and this support plane 22.

Conversely the pivoting movement of part 11 of the chassis in the horizontal direction brings the backrest 20 in the opposite direction, that is to say towards the foot of the bed.
