Description

L'invention concerne un fauteuil de repos et de relaxation conforme au préambule des revendications 1, 2 et 3.The invention relates to a rest and relaxation chair according to the preamble of claims 1, 2 and 3.

En outre, la position couchée n'est pas permise dans cette cinématique de déplacement du siège.US-A-2 132 525 discloses an armchair according to this preamble comprising a seat, a backrest and a footrest, the backrest and the footrest being articulated respectively at the rear and front ends of the seat. The lower end of the backrest is movable, guided in rectilinear movement, along an inclined tube secured to the frame of the chair. A set of lower connecting rods connects the backrest to the footrest. A control means, of the lever type, angularly actuated allows variable movement of the lower end of the backrest, along the guide tube. The seat when tilted moves forward. The center of gravity of the whole chair and the supported person moves simultaneously forward and down. In addition, the lying position is not allowed in this kinematics of the seat movement.

It is known from CH-A-506 272 to move the lower end of the back of a chair along an arc, mobile or fixed, while the seat moves forward (rolling or sliding ). A lower link connects the lower part of the backrest to the footrest. When the backrest tilts while moving on the arch, the footrest is simultaneously oriented forward. In the case where the arch is fixed, integral with the frame of the chair, the lower end of the backrest is guided at two points offset angularly from the arch. The arch is of a significant dimension occupying approximately half of the frame of the armchair. The seat moves forward when tilting with the same drawbacks as mentioned above, namely the tilting of the center of gravity forward, a limited inclination of the backrest does not allow the horizontal lying position and the offset movement of the seat relative to the armrests.

Un tel fauteuil n'autorise pas la position couchée des personnes.US-A-3 179 466 discloses a chair in which the seat and the backrest are formed in one piece, substantially at right angles to each other. This non-deformable assembly is mounted articulated on a horizontal axis integral with the frame of the chair. Such an armchair does not allow people to lie down.

L'invention vise à remédier à ces inconvénients en proposant un fauteuil de repos ou de relaxation conforme à l'enseignement des revendications 1, 2 ou 3.The invention aims to remedy these drawbacks by proposing a rest or relaxation chair in accordance with the teaching of claims 1, 2 or 3.

The set of three seat, footrest and back planes therefore forms an articulated assembly bearing on the one hand, on the axis of the seat, and on the other hand, on the cam profile by the lower back end. The connection between the footrest plane and the backrest plane and the curvature of the cam profile are determined in order to obtain relative inclinations of the planes conducive to rest and relaxation of the people (variable according to these) when the end of the backrest moves on the cam profile between the sitting position and the lying position.

In addition, the position of the seat axis on the support frame of the chair is also an important parameter in the evolution of the plans relative to each other.

Said control means is advantageously a double-acting or electric fluid cylinder arranged under the seat, connected on the one hand, to the latter and on the other hand, to the backrest at a point close to its lower end. The back resting on the cam profile, the shortening or lengthening of the jack to a determined length, controlled by the operator from an actuating handle on the chair, allows the lower end of the backrest to run with support said cam profile. In the case of a double-acting gas spring, it will be necessary to assist the movement. To obtain the relaxation position it will naturally be necessary to lean on the backrest but the muscular effort involved in the compression of the jack will be low due to the favorable lever arm. The return to the seated position will be done by releasing the backrest.

The contact of the backrest with the cam profile can be established by rollers rolling on the latter or by sliding shoes on it. Naturally, the movement of the end in contact with the cam profile, rollers in particular, will be carried out in a guided manner and for example on a slide with upper retainer so as to avoid any tilting of the chair forward on the axis seat.

The invention is illustrated below with the aid of an exemplary embodiment and with reference to the appended drawing in which:
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an armchair according to the invention and
  • Figure 2 is a schematic view showing the linkage kinematics of the seat, footrest and backrest of this chair.

As shown in these figures, the chair according to the invention comprises a backrest 1, a seat 3, a footrest 5 and a support frame 7. In FIG. 2, only the plans of the backrest elements, seat are shown and footrests which can be materialized by their rigid support frames. The footrest 5 is rotatably mounted on the seat, being articulated at its front end by an axis 9. Likewise, the backrest is articulated rotatable at the rear end of the seat by an axis 11. A link 13 connects the file to the footrest, being articulated by its ends on each of them.

All of these three planes thus connected are mounted on the support frame 7. It is articulated at the front by the seat plane on a transverse axis 15 secured to the support frame and comes to bear at the rear by the 'lower end of the backrest on a cam profile 17 also fixed to the support frame. Said transverse axis of articulation, connected to the seat plane, is disposed slightly at the rear of its transverse median plane. The lower end of the backrest includes rollers 19 engaging in rolling motion on the cam profile. These rollers roll in a slide conforming to the cam profile and are retained at the upper level by the slide to prevent any tilting of the chair forward. An electric actuator 21 (or gas) disposed under the seat, connects the latter to the backrest. This cylinder is articulated by its ends, respectively on the front part (limited to the axis 15) of the seat and on the lower part close to the end of the backrest. It is controlled by the seat user from a handle that is easily accessible in the rest position so as to make it possible to shorten or lengthen its travel as desired, thereby moving the end rollers of the backrest on the cam profile between two positions d 'stop limits. The rear limit position 23 corresponds to the sitting position (FIG. 2) and the front limit position 25 to the lying position (not shown) in which in particular the seat and back planes come in continuity with one another along a substantially horizontal line. In the intermediate positions of rest or relaxation, the rollers circulate in a variable manner on the cam profile thus authorizing a multitude of possible positions. Note that the seat plane is also mobile and that it tilts according to the stroke of the jack. This inclination also depends on the shape of the cam profile and its positioning on the support frame as well as on the positioning of the axis 15 on the support frame. The seat tilt is designed to prevent the body from sliding on the seat in the relaxed position. In this or these positions it tilts backwards thus ensuring good retention of the body.

It is also possible to provide, as claimed in 2, a possibility of varying the positioning of the front transverse articulation axis 15 on the side of the seat, for example by a quick snap system allowing variations in the inclination of the seat different , variations also depending on the cam profile chosen.

The above clearly shows the advantages of the chair according to the invention, all the planes of which are movable relative to one another. It will be noted as claimed in 3 that the axis 15 and the cam profile 17 due to their small distance, can be fixed on a cradle rotatably mounted and angularly adjustable in position on the support frame or sides of the chair. This gives a possibility of varying the overall inclination of the planes of the chair, useful for example on an airplane where the slope during the ascent can be significant.

Note also that the displacement of the lower end of the backrest on the cam profile, instead of being carried out by a jack as in the example, can be done by adherent rolling (on toothed profile) of the backing rollers , on the cam profile, these rollers being set and controlled in rotation by the operator.

Variant embodiments can be imagined within the scope of the claims below.
