- the inclination adjusting means 70 then further comprise means for locking the upright 35 and, more particularly, its segment 73 in the raised position, so that the upright 35 is immobilized with respect to the 20 gauge.
- the locking means comprise an integral finger 74 of the locking segment 73 and a sort of striker 75 , integral with the spacer 20, being movable relative to the latter, so as to allow, by its displacement, a modification , preferably continuous, of the angle ⁇ .
- the striker can, for example, be mounted in a groove by being displaced in translation by means of an Archimedean screw.
- the combination of the means 70 for adjusting the static inclination ⁇ of the upright 35 relative to the spacer 20 and the automatic modification means 60 of the inclination of the backrest, between the lowering position and the position of verticalization, allows then to offer optimal comfort to the user of the chair, allowing fine adjustments of inclination of the backrest and, in particular, by allowing search a recline for the backrest, both optimal sitting position and in standing position.
- the adjustable means for automatic modification 60 of the inclination ⁇ of the backrest, between the sitting and standing positions are made by acting on the length L P of the small posterior side P P of the first deformable quadrilateral .
- the adjustable automatic modification means 60 can be made by acting on another side of the deformable quadrilateral.
- the Fig. 6 illustrates another embodiment according to which the means 60 for modifying the shape of the first adjustable quadrilateral consist of means for continuously modifying the length of the upper bar 18 of the first deformable quadrilateral.
- These continuous modification means 60 are, according to the illustrated example, constituted by a ring 90 connecting two segments 91 , 92 constituting the bar 18 and connected to each of these segments by a thread, so that a rotation of the. ring, in one direction, allows an increase in the length L S of the upper segment 18 and, in the opposite direction, a reduction of the length L S of the upper segment 18.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to wheelchairs, particularly but not exclusively, wheelchairs, which are used by the disabled and disabled and it aims, indifferently, wheelchairs, folding or not.
It is undeniable that wheelchairs have provided mobility opportunities for the disabled and the disabled. These wheelchairs have, however, several drawbacks due to the fact that users can only occupy a sitting position, otherwise maintained in general for relatively long periods.
Such a position is not able to bring rehabilitation to everyday life and does not facilitate social contacts. In addition, such a sitting position, maintained for relatively long periods of time, is responsible for physical degradation, such as loss of angular amplitude of the lower limbs, defective blood circulation, slowing of the digestive and intestinal functions, bone fragility, etc.
De tels fauteuils sont, généralement, qualifiés de « fauteuils verticalisateurs ou verticalisateurs ».To overcome the disadvantages above, it has been proposed chairs whose frame supports an articulated structure comprising a backrest, a seat and a footrest. Such a structure is mounted articulated by the seat on a horizontal front axis, perpendicular to the vertical plane of symmetry of the frame. The articulated structure can be controlled with complete motorization or assistance, to move the seat from a lowering position to a vertical position and vice versa. Such chairs are generally referred to as "standing or standing chairs".
Whether the source of power, controlling or allowing to control the verticalization and the lowering of the articulated structure, is based on electrical energy, elastic cylinders, in particular gas, or purely manual, the chairs of the type above have certainly allowed to solve, for a large part, the disadvantages arising from the use of a classic chair.
Although giving satisfaction, such chairs seem to have given rise to a comfort objection relating, in particular, to the nature of the articulated structure. to raise or lower, in a position of maximum security, the invalid or disabled subject.
It is necessary, in fact, to take into account the articulated nature of this structure which can pass from a traditional seat position to a position of verticalization or verticalization in which the various segments constituting it are substantially aligned in the extension of each other, in a pseudo-vertical direction.
To meet the anatomical requirement in the various positions that can be occupied, the articulated structure is composed of a seat element, a backrest element and a footrest element which must therefore be able to occupy relatively a general position of the seat or seat type and be placed in the extension of each other in the standing or standing position.
In order to allow this vertical-lowering movement, the articulated structure is constituted by two lateral symmetrical articulated systems each comprising a first deformable quadrilateral contributing to the support of the seat, composed of two bars, respectively upper and lower, articulated on the front part of a frame and linked to their rear part by a spacer. Each lateral articulated system also comprises a second deformable quadrilateral contributing to the support of the footrest, and a backrest frame which is articulated on the first quadrilateral, opposite the second quadrilateral, via the room spacer at least and which comprises at least one integral amount of the spacer.
The chair comprises, finally, a maneuvering assembly, interposed between the side assemblies and the frame and assuming a function of controlling and controlling the relative pivoting of the lateral assemblies from a lowering position to a position of verticalization of the structure by compared to the chassis and vice versa.
Until now, it has been considered that, in the majority of cases, the comfort of the user could be ensured by giving the backrest an inclination relative to the vertical, identical in the lowering or sitting position and in the position of standing or standing. The articulated side systems have been designed to maintain the inclination of the backrest throughout the movement.
However, it appeared that in some cases, depending on the morphology or the pathology of the user, it was necessary to be able to adopt a different inclination in the vertical position and sitting position.
For this purpose, it has been proposed manual control means and, most often, electric motor for changing at will the inclination of the folder.
However, such manual control tilt adjustment means are tedious, since, at each change of position, the wheelchair user must correct the inclination of the backrest.
Thus, it appears the need to avoid, as far as possible, the phases of adjustments and repetitive tedious.

- ■ a second deformable polygon, contributing to the support of the footrest,
- ■ a backrest frame which is articulated on the first quadrilateral, opposite the second polygon, through the spacer at least and which comprises at least one integral amount of the spacer,
- And a maneuvering assembly, interposed between the lateral assembly and the chassis, assuming a function of control and control of the relative pivoting of the lateral systems, of a lowering position or sitting at a position of verticalization or standing of the structure relative to the chassis and vice versa.
According to the invention, this standing chair is characterized in that it further comprises means for automatically modifying the inclination of the backrest with respect to the vertical direction in the sagittal plane, between the lowering and lowering positions. verticalization.
According to the invention, the means for automatically modifying the inclination thus allow either a slight tilting of the backrest to the front during the transition to the vertical position, or, conversely, a slight tilting backwards during the passage from sitting to standing.
According to the invention, the automatic modification means can be made in any appropriate manner and, for example, include a system of connecting rods and references adapted to ensure this modification.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the means for automatically modifying the inclination comprise, for each lateral articulated system, the spacer and the first deformable quadrilateral which has a shape different from that of the parallelogram.
According to the invention, the means for automatically modifying the inclination of the backrest are adjustable, so as to allow a choice of the direction and / or the amplitude of the modification.
The modifying means are then, preferably but not necessarily, adjustable so as to have a neutral position in which the angle of the uprights, with respect to the vertical in the sagittal plane, is identical in the lowering position and in the verticalization.
The adjustable means for automatically modifying the inclination of the backrest act on the shape of the first deformable quadrilateral.
In this respect, it should be noted that the implementation, for the automatic modification of the inclination of the backrest of the shape of the first deformable quadrilateral, provides a simple device with a reduced weight.
According to yet another characteristic of the invention, the adjustable means for automatically modifying the inclination of the backrest comprise, for each articulated assembly, the spacer on which the backrest is adapted so as to form an identical angle with respect to the spacer, in a standing position and sitting position, and means for modifying the shape of the first deformable quadrilateral.

- ■ parallelogram,
- ■ quadrilateral whose long sides have the same length, while the small anterior side has a length greater than that of the small posterior side,
- ■ quadrilateral whose long sides have the same length, while the small posterior side has a length greater than that of the small anterior side.
According to a preferred embodiment and to allow such a modification of the shape of the first deformable quadrilateral, the spacer comprises at least two fixing positions for the corresponding hinge point of the lower bar of the first parallelogram.

According to another characteristic of the invention, in order to allow a better adaptation of the uprighting chair to the morphology of its user, the uprighting chair also comprises means for adjusting the angle of each upright relative to the room. corresponding spacing.
The means for adjusting the relative angle of the upright and the spacer can be made in any appropriate manner.
According to one characteristic of the invention, the means for adjusting the angle of the upright relative to the spacer comprise, for each upright, a pivot for fixing the upright on the articulation piece, allowing a rotational movement. the amount, between a position folded against the upper bar of the first quadrilateral or the seat of the chair and a raised position, and means for locking the upright in the raised position which are integral with the spacer and movable on the latter , so as to allow a modification continuous of the angle between the spacer and the upright in raised and locked position.
Furthermore, a standing chair according to the invention may comprise different types of propulsion means, such as electric drive wheel systems or, preferably, manually propelled wheels.
Diverses autres caractéristiques de l'invention ressortent de la description ci-dessous, effectuée en référence aux dessins annexés qui illustrent différentes formes, non limitatives, de réalisation d'un fauteuil verticalisateur selon l'invention et possédant des moyens de modification automatique de l'inclinaison du dossier..Various other characteristics of the invention appear from the description below, made with reference to the accompanying drawings which illustrate various forms, non-limiting, of making a standing chair according to the invention and having means for automatically modifying the tilting of the back ..

Such a chair 1 comprises a
As illustrated, the
In order to facilitate the vertical-lowering movement, the above-described standing chair also comprises assistance means 50 . According to this example, these assistance means are constituted, for each of the articulated systems, by a gas spring 6 , interposed between the
By the use of operating assemblies and gas springs 50, the user of the chair has the opportunity to switch, alternately, from a sitting position to a standing position, according to his needs.
In order to guarantee optimum comfort for the user, the invention proposes to use means 60 for automatically modifying the inclination β of the backrest relative to the vertical. Thus, it will for example be possible to adopt a slightly inclined position towards the front or back of the backrest, in the lowering position, while the backrest will automatically adopt a position, for example but not exclusively, substantially vertical in standing or standing position of the structure, to give a satisfactory orientation to the bust of the user standing.
This automatic modification of the orientation of the file can be ensured in different ways.
According to the illustrated example, the
Thus, the Applicant recommends adopting a shape different from that of the parallelogram for the first quadrilateral, in order to obtain such an automatic modification.
According to the illustrated example, the shape chosen for the first deformable quadrilateral is adopted so that the long sides G S and G I have lengths L S and L I equal, while the length L A of the small front side P A is chosen to be greater than the length L P of the small posterior side P P. This conformation of the first deformable quadrilateral then makes it possible to obtain a backward movement of the backrest during the transition from sitting to standing.
- ■ parallelogram,
- ■ posterior side P P having a length L P greater than that L A of the small anterior side P A ,
- A small posterior side P P having a length L P less than that L A of the small anterior side P A.
The choice of the parallelogram shape corresponds, then, to a neutral setting for which the amplitude of modification of the inclination of the backrest between the lowering and verticalization positions is zero; the latter retaining the same inclination β .
On the other hand, when the small posterior side P P has a length greater than that of the small anterior side P A , the back will tend to incline forwards when the lowering position is moved to the vertical position. On the contrary, when the short side P P has a length less than that of the small front side P A , the back will tend to tilt backwards when passing from the lowering position to the vertical position.
Still in the sense of a better comfort for the user of the upright chair 1 , the latter comprises, preferably but not strictly necessary, adjustment means 70 of the angle α between each
Given its attachment via the
The inclination adjusting means 70 then further comprise means for locking the
The combination of the
According to the embodiment described above, the adjustable means for
However, the adjustable automatic modification means 60 can be made by acting on another side of the deformable quadrilateral.
Thus, as a function of the length retained, it is possible, by means of the
Of course, various other modifications can be made to the invention without departing from its scope.
