Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for the floating guiding of sheet or sheet material in a processing machine according to the preamble of claim 1.
- This device is particularly suitable for contactless sheet guiding and sheet conveying in a printing machine.
- a known device of this type describes DE-OS 19 07 083 with a blow box with a guide surface and a plurality of distributed blowing openings, each having a lowered into the blow box inclined guide surface.
- the nozzles have a tongue and the radial edges of the guide surface enclose an angle between 120 ° and 180 °. This produces a wide-spread ray, not a directional ray, with a flat effect.
- all nozzles are arranged in the same direction. As a result, only in one direction a hardly firming effect can be achieved, which is disadvantageous especially for thin sheet materials, as these tend to flutter easily.
- DE 28 02 610 A1 shows nozzles whose side surfaces are parallel to the inclined guide surface and provided with lowered tongue. These nozzles are arranged close to each other on blow boxes and it is described a guide surface, which consists of several blow boxes and are arranged above and below the printing material to be led. In a further development, the nozzles are associated with a perforation, which is intended as an additional blowing agent to prevent the contact of the processing material with the blow box (guide surface).
- a device for the floating guiding of web or sheet material along a conveying path in a conveying direction with a plurality of nozzles incorporated in a guide surface is known. Over its width, the guide surface is divided into at least three zones, a symmetrical to the axis of symmetry stabilization zone with blowing against the direction of flow nozzles and two adjoining the stabilization zone, the guide surface limiting, tightening zones.
- the nozzles form longitudinal and transverse to the conveying direction extending nozzle rows.
- the nozzles blow against the conveying direction and away from the axis of symmetry, wherein the nozzles with the blowing directions alternately enclose an angle of 100 ° to 120 ° and 160 ° to 170 °.
- the device has a guide surface with air-jet nozzles whose common flow pattern forming when guiding the sheet material is formed by a first velocity component in the conveying direction of the sheet material and by a second and a third velocity component in the direction of the respective side edges.
- the invention has for its object to provide a device of the type mentioned, which avoids the disadvantages mentioned, which in particular allows a uniformly distributed pressure build-up for floating sheet or sheet material along a guide surface and noticeably reduces the risk of fouling.
- the device for floating guidance starts from a guide surface on which the web or sheet material is guided in a conveying direction along contactless means of an air cushion.
- the air cushion is fed by nozzles that operate on the aerodynamic paradox, after which the web or sheet material is simultaneously carried (overpressure area) and sucked in (negative pressure area).
- the guide surface is closed in itself and has a plurality of incorporated nozzles according to a predetermined distribution, which Air acted upon, preferably identical, nozzles are formed.
- a first advantage is based on the fact that - with respect to a single guide surface - the alignment of the nozzles with their blowing openings (Blasmaul) at the beginning of the guide surface with a component against the conveying direction of the web or sheet material is arranged and then in the conveying direction continuously to both side edges (the guide surface) is arranged temporarily.
- This orientation of the blowing openings of the nozzles Blas Kunststoffströmungen be generated, which - based on the direction of conveyance in the direction of symmetry of the guide surface - starting from an orientation substantially against the conveying direction symmetrically fanned out in an outward direction in the direction of both side edges of the guide surface to transverse (approximately at right angles) to the conveying direction can be realized.
- the inclination of the blowing openings of the nozzles in the conveying direction thus increases until they are directed laterally with respect to the conveying direction.
- the at least over the maximum format width of the web or sheet material extending guide surface in the conveying direction of the web or sheet material has three guide zones I to III (per guide surface).
- a single guide surface in one piece or modular executable from several parts.
- Such a guide surface is operatively connected to at least one flow channel coupled to at least one pneumatic system. From one or more flow channel / flow channels blowing air to the blowing holes each Nozzle supplied and distributed over the blow holes to form the air cushion.
- the nozzles are preferably arranged with different nozzle density (number of nozzles per unit area) on a single guide surface.
- the upstream in the conveying direction of the web or sheet material guide zone I and the downstream guide zone III preferably have a larger nozzle density (number of nozzles per unit area), as arranged between the two guide zones I and III guide zone II.
- the larger nozzle density is preferably always arranged in the end regions (initial region: guide zone I or end region: guide zone III) of a guide surface.
- adjacent assigned as a reinforced air cushion can be achieved by a larger nozzle density and thus the Abschmiergefahr is noticeably reduced.
- the guide surface in the guide zone I in comparison to the guide surface III, the larger nozzle density.
- disturbances in the guidance of the web or sheet material can be avoided, resulting from upstream facilities, such as a transfer area.
- the nozzles aligned in this way with their blowing openings always blow in between (nozzle-free) areas (the closed guide surface) of two upstream nozzles with blowing air flows emerging from the blowing openings.
- the air flow is preferred a downstream nozzle directed centrally into the space of two adjacent upstream nozzles.
- a sheet-fed rotary printing press consists, for example, of several printing units 1 and a coating unit 8, which are arranged in series in the conveying direction 12 of the sheet material.
- the coating unit 8 is in the conveying direction 12, a boom 9 with rotating conveyor system 14, which transports the sheet material in the gripper closure on a delivery pile and deposits there, downstream.
- Each printing unit 1 consists of a plate cylinder 2, a blanket cylinder 3 and a sheet guiding cylinder 4.
- Each plate cylinder 2 is associated with an inking unit and possibly a dampening unit.
- the coating unit 8 has a metering system 7 which is in functional connection with a forme cylinder 6.
- the form cylinder 6 is in turn assigned a sheet guiding cylinder 4.
- the sheet guiding cylinders 4, 5 and the conveyor systems 14 have circumferentially arranged sheet holding systems, preferably gripper systems, for the sheet transport.
- a transfer cylinder or turning drum sheet guiding cylinders 5 and the conveyor systems 14 are a plurality of fixed, a continuous guide surface 13 forming sheet guiding 11 for contactless floating guidance of sheet material in a defined distance to the sheet guiding cylinder 5 and the conveyor systems 14 adjacent assigned.
- a single guide surface 13 in the conveying direction 12 by a first transfer area 10 and a second transfer area 10 for example, sheet holding systems of the sheet guiding cylinder 4.5, limited in assignment to a sheet guiding cylinder 5.
- a single guide surface 13 in the conveying direction 12 by a first transfer area 10 for example, a sheet holding system of the sheet guiding cylinder 4 and a sheet holding system of the conveyor system 14, and arranged in the boom 9 sheet braking device limited.
- Fig. 2 is a device for floating guiding of
- sheet material shown which is to be explained in more detail on a sheet guiding cylinder 5, especially a transfer cylinder, each with a forward and downstream sheet guiding cylinder 4, especially a printing cylinder.
- the transfer region 10 of two sheet holding systems is arranged in the respective tangent point.
- the sheet material is transferred from a sheet holding system to a second sheet holding system.
- a sheet outlet 17 is arranged downstream of the first transfer area 10, and in the conveying direction 12, the sheet outlet 17 is followed by a sheet exit 18 with a subsequent second transfer area 10.
- two sheet guiding devices 11, with respect to an axis of symmetry 22, are arranged in mirror image to one another in a modular manner (butt joint assembly) and jointly form the uniform guide surface 13.
- Each sheet guiding device 11 is formed as a box-shaped pneumatically acted first flow channel and has a portion of the guide surface 13 with nozzles 23 for the discharge of blowing air on the blow-suction or Venturi principle (aerodynamic paradox) on.

- Each sheet guiding device 11 is below the sheet guiding cylinder at a defined distance from the latter Circumference arranged to ensure a contactless floating bowing.
- the comb plate 16 mechanically or pneumatically supports the sheet guide in the sheet outlet 17th
- a second flow channel 20, which is in functional connection with the second pneumatic system 19, is arranged beneath the sheet guiding device 11 (first flow channel).
- the second pneumatic system 19 is arranged on the rear side of the second flow channel 20 and supplies the flow channel 20 with air via an opening, so that a flow of lower blowing pressure and high volume flow emerges at an outflow opening 21.
- the second flow channel 20 at least one, preferably a plurality of over the maximum format width reaching, outflow openings 21 for the blowing air, which are directed towards the transfer area 10 against the arc bottom in the sheet outlet 17.
- the arch entrance 18 is a mirror image of the symmetry axis 22 below the downstream transfer area 10 as well a second, separately controllable pneumatic system 19 arranged fixed to the frame, which is preferably formed by multiple fans and analogous to the sheet outlet 17 a Blas Kunststoffströmung with low blowing pressure and high flow against the Bottom of the sheet towards the transfer area 10 generated.
- a second flow channel 20 is arranged analogously to the sheet outlet 17 below the sheet guide 11 which is in functional connection with the second pneumatic system 19.
- the second Pneumatic system 19 is arranged at the rear side of the second flow channel 20 and supplies the flow channel 20 with air via an opening, so that at a discharge opening 21 there is a flow of low blowing pressure and high volume flow, which is directed essentially in the direction of the transfer region 10 and thus on the underside of the arc is leaving.
