- the groove is intended to receive a panel, such as a glazing, substantially perpendicular to the first branch.
- the glazing is inserted into a plastic groove, and is not in contact with the aluminum profile.
- the insulation of the opening obtained from this set of profiles is much greater than that presented by the openings of the prior art.
- the assembly of the first and second profiles is made very fast and very simple by simply snapping.
- the first section comprises a protruding wall extending substantially parallel to the first branch from the part free end of said first branch
- the second section comprises a holding wall extending substantially parallel to the bottom of the groove and away from said bottom, opposite the groove.
- a space is provided between the bottom of the groove and the holding wall, said space being adapted to cooperate with the projecting wall of the first section.
- the invention thus ensures a very good maintenance of the second section on the first section.
- the second section is made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) comprising glass fibers.
- PVC polyvinyl chloride
- the coefficient of expansion of this material is lower than that of traditional PVC, and is closer to that of aluminum, which improves the resistance of the window to temperature variations.
- this material is stiffer than traditional PVC.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a set of profiles for the production of an amount and / or a cross member of an opening adapted to be associated with a frame, an opening made from such a set of profiles, and an opening, such as a window, including such an opening.
The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing and assembling an opening from such a set of profiles.
- un premier profilé en aluminium comprenant, en section transversale, une première branche comportant des premiers moyens d'encliquetage vers sa partie extrême libre et une deuxième branche, sensiblement perpendiculaire à la première branche, apte à coopérer avec le dormant ;
- a first aluminum profile comprising, in cross section, a first branch comprising first latching means towards its free end portion and a second branch, substantially perpendicular to the first branch, adapted to cooperate with the frame;
- a second plastic section, comprising second complementary latching means of the first latching means of the first section.
Such a set of profiles is known from documents FR 2 802 968 and FR 2 802 969 and DE-A-3049605 on which the preamble of
These documents describe a window, or a French window, comprising an opening whose uprights and / or sleepers are made from at least a first aluminum profile and a second plastic profile, such as previously described. A third section, plastic, forming bead, can also be provided.
The first section has substantially the shape of a T in cross section, and therefore comprises, in addition to the first and second branches mentioned above, a third branch extending perpendicularly to the first branch, in the extension of the second branch .
The second section, or, in another embodiment, the assembly consisting of the second and third sections, has substantially the shape an L in cross section, comprising a first and a second segments. The first segment of the L carries the second latching means towards its free end portion.
The second latching means are arranged so that the first segment of the L can be associated with the first section substantially in the extension of the first branch.
When the first and second profiles are assembled, a gap-shaped space is formed between the third branch of the first profile and the second segment of the second profile. The groove thus formed is able to receive a panel, such as a glazing unit.
Thus, the glazing of the opening is inserted between the aluminum profile, very bad insulation, and the plastic profile. Therefore, the insulation of the window, between the inside and the outside, is not optimal, both from the thermal point of view and from the acoustic point of view. This imperfect insulation generates an additional cost for the user of such windows, especially in terms of heating or air conditioning, and does not provide all the desired comfort.
In addition, the first and second profiles, because of the use of aluminum and a traditional plastic such as PVC, do not have the same coefficients of expansion. As a result, constraints can arise in the opening, which can be detrimental to the quality and life of the window.
Moreover, the mounting of the window described in documents FR 2 802 968 and FR 2 802 969 has a certain number of drawbacks.
On the one hand, the assembly of the first and second sections is made by crimping. This technique is quite long and difficult to implement, and requires a relatively heavy manufacturing facility.
On the other hand, the assembly of an amount and an adjacent cross to realize the window is done by means of traditional brackets of the aluminum joinery. These brackets are inserted in the profiles and simply fixed by screws.
This method of attachment does not ensure optimal maintenance and tightening of the uprights and sleepers between them, the quality of the window may be altered.
The object of the invention is to solve these problems.
For this purpose, and according to a first aspect, the invention relates to a set of profiles as previously described, wherein the second section has in cross section the general shape of a U and comprises a wall forming a bottom, and first and second wings delimiting a groove. The first wing of said second section carries, on its outer face to the groove, the second latching means and is intended to be associated with the first section substantially in the extension of the first branch so that the bottom of the groove extends. substantially parallel to the first branch of the first section and that the opening of the groove is directed opposite the second branch of the first profile. The groove is intended to receive a panel, such as a glazing, substantially perpendicular to the first branch.
Thus, the glazing is inserted into a plastic groove, and is not in contact with the aluminum profile. The insulation of the opening obtained from this set of profiles is much greater than that presented by the openings of the prior art.
In addition, the assembly of the first and second profiles is made very fast and very simple by simply snapping.
According to one possible embodiment, the first section comprises a protruding wall extending substantially parallel to the first branch from the part free end of said first branch, and the second section comprises a holding wall extending substantially parallel to the bottom of the groove and away from said bottom, opposite the groove. Thus, a space is provided between the bottom of the groove and the holding wall, said space being adapted to cooperate with the projecting wall of the first section.
The invention thus ensures a very good maintenance of the second section on the first section.
According to other features, the second section is made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) comprising glass fibers. The coefficient of expansion of this material is lower than that of traditional PVC, and is closer to that of aluminum, which improves the resistance of the window to temperature variations. In addition, this material is stiffer than traditional PVC.
According to a second aspect, the invention relates to an aluminum profile - respectively plastic - arranged to cooperate with a plastic section - respectively aluminum - to form a set of profiles as mentioned above.
According to a third aspect, the invention relates to an opening comprising two uprights and two cross members associated transversely two by two towards their ends, and a panel, such as a glazing, carried by and in the frame formed by the uprights. and the sleepers, said opening being adapted to be associated with a frame, at least one amount or a cross member of said opening being made from the set of aforementioned sections.
According to a fourth aspect, the invention relates to a method of manufacturing and assembling an opening from a set of profiles as previously described. The first and second profiles, made separately by extrusion or extrusion, are assembled by snapping. The amounts and the crosspieces of the opening are cut in the set of sections thus assembled, according to a plane forming an angle close to 45 ° with the axis of said set of profiles. Rigid, square-shaped members are provided in the appropriate uprights or rails, while the panel is engaged in the groove of the second section of the appropriate sleepers or posts. Then, the brackets are inserted into the cross or uprights carrying the panel, in the second branch of the first section, so as to form a frame.
The method of manufacture and assembly may comprise an additional step in which an adjacent post and cross member are brought closer to each other by means of eccentric pins cooperating with holes made in the square and on the one hand. secondly in the first section constituting said amount and said cross. This gives a tight fitting, particularly satisfactory.
Finally, according to a fifth aspect, the invention relates to an opening, such as in particular window, French window, door, or the like, comprising at least one opening as mentioned above, and a frame adapted to be associated with said opening.
