Profilé dormant à réception de bardage (B1 ; B2 ; B3 ; B4) d'une menuiserie destinée à être posée dans une ouverture d'une paroi extérieure d'une construction, ledit profilé dormant comportant : un corps de dormant (2) comportant une première partie (3) destinée à venir en appui contre une zone de bordure de ladite ouverture et une deuxième partie (4) dépassant vers l'extérieur en position de montage, où d'un côté du corps (2) : - une aile de pose (6) est raccordée d'un côté audit corps de dormant (2) pour venir s'appliquer contre la face externe de ladite paroi extérieure ; - la deuxième partie (4) du corps de dormant (2) est, le long de son bord libre, repliée pour former une aile extérieure (8), l'aile de pose (6), la deuxième partie (4) et l'aile extérieure (8) formant un espace de réception (10) de bardage (B1 : B2 ; B3 ; B4), et un ouvrant ou remplissage venant en appui pour fermer la menuiserie contre l'autre côté du corps (2) par l'intermédiaire d'un organe de liaison, caractérisé par le fait que l'aile extérieure (8) porte le long de son bord libre, une bande, déformable (13), apte à venir s'appliquer contre le bardage (B1 ; B2 ; B3 ; B4) par une région de celle-ci variable suivant l'épaisseur du bardage (B1 ; B2 ; B3 ; B4) permettant l'adaptation de bardages (B1 ; B2 ; B3 ; B4) de différentes épaisseurs.
