Definitions
- the invention relates to a detergent concentrate, the Use for cleaning and / or disinfecting medical Instruments and / or apparatus and corresponding cleaning processes.
- Surgical instruments and other medical devices are usually used in the hospital using alkaline Detergent cleaned by machine and then chemically or thermally disinfected.
- alkaline Detergent cleaned by machine and then chemically or thermally disinfected.
- Such strongly alkaline Agents can be aggressive to sensitive surfaces Act.
- Surgical instruments contaminated with blood often immediately after use, for example in an aldehyde-containing Disinfectant solution stored and remain in it initially until they are cleaned in the dishwasher become.
- the blood is coagulated by the disinfectant and the protein components contained in the blood denatured the aldehydic disinfectant.
- Such especially stubborn blood residues are often just through remove cleaning agents containing alkaline active chlorine.
- the oxidizing active chlorine component causes the decomposition of the denatured protein components.
- Other ingredients too of disinfectants such as iodine can be difficult form removing residues.
- the alkaline, active chlorine-containing cleaners have the disadvantages that they contain hazardous substances that require labeling, that special precautions when handling them are necessary to protect the operating personnel and that they represent an undesirable environmental impact in wastewater.
- EP-A-1 021 519 discloses an enzyme-free detergent concentrate for cleaning surgical instruments. As a disadvantage the enzymatic cleaner is called there that the enzyme activity can wear off after long storage.
- the invention has for its object a cleaning agent concentrate to create a good cleaning effect against mixed impurities occurring in the hospital area such as coagulated blood and disinfectant residues shows and the build-up of residual impurities such as protein or lime deposits on the cleaned instruments and the dishwasher used counteracts itself.
- the invention further relates to the use of such Concentrate for cleaning and / or disinfecting medical and / or surgical instruments and / or apparatus.
- the invention is based on the surprising finding that the combination of alkanolamine, complexing agent and enzyme storage-stable detergent concentrate results in the frame machine-dried, preheated or with, for example, aldehydic disinfectants denatured blood residues from surgical instruments can remove properly. Even disinfectants Frequently resulting iodine residues or their reaction products with blood components are removed.
- a special The advantage of the invention is that the structure of protein and / or alkaline earth salts or mixtures thereof on instruments and the interior of the dishwasher avoided becomes; Such deposits build up when using cleaning agent concentrates the state of the art frequently many rinse cycles and cannot or only afterwards difficult to remove.
- the cleaner concentrate according to the invention surprisingly avoids such deposit formation or removes existing deposits from cleaning processes the state of the art again.
- the enzymes contained in the concentrate according to the invention can in particular be amylases or proteases.
- proteolytic Enzymes are preferred.
- the amount of this proteolytic Enzyme is preferably between 0.005 and 0.1 Anson units per gram of concentrate.
- the alkanolamine content is preferably between 10 and 40% by weight, further 10 and 20% by weight, more preferably 10 and 15% by weight.
- Another preferred lower limit for the alkanolamine content is 11% by weight, the preferred ones Accordingly, ranges are 11 to 40, 11 to 20, and 11 up to 15% by weight.
- the alkanolamines used preferably have the following structure: wherein R 1 represents a hydroxyalkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms and wherein R 2 and R 3 independently of one another represent the hydroxyalkyl group mentioned or hydrogen.
- Mono-, di- and / or triethanolamine are particularly preferred.
- the complexing agent content is preferably between 3 and 15% by weight, more preferably between 3 and 10% by weight, further preferably between 4 and 8% by weight, more preferably between 5 and 7% by weight.
- the complexing agents are used for water softening and can the cleaning effect by complexing alkaline earth ions improve over lime soaps.
- the complexing agents can it is homopolymers, copolymers or terpolymers based on Acrylic acid or its alkali salts are also phosphonic acids or their alkali salts, such as, for example, 1-hydroxyethane-1,1-diphosphonic acid, Aminotrismethylenephosphonic acid, ethylenediaminotetrakismethylenephosphonic acid, phosphonobutane; Tartaric acid, citric acid and gluconic acid; further Nitrilotriacetic acid or ethylenediaminotetraacetic acid or their salts.
- the use of chelating agents is preferred, in particular aminopolycarboxylic acids and their salts.
- the concentrate according to the invention can be nitrilotriacetic acid and / or a salt of this acid, particularly preferably its Trisodium salt.
- This addition of NTA surprisingly has the effect particularly good lime soap removal even with low pH values in the range 6 to 9.
- the addition of NTA is also advantageous if the concentrate with a high mineral content (hard) water to a ready-to-use solution should be applied.
- the detergent concentrate in ready-to-use diluted aqueous solution a pH of 9 to 11, preferably 9.5 to 10.5 on.
- Another embodiment of the invention is neutral to slightly alkaline and has a ready-to-use dilution aqueous solution has a pH of 6 to 9, preferably 7 to 9 on.
- a 0.5-100% aqueous solution of the detergent concentrate Roger that. If within the scope of the present application pH values of a dilute solution of the detergent concentrate are measured, is fully desalted as a solvent Water (demineralized water) used. If the concentrate with Common tap water prepared for a ready-to-use solution depending on the nature of this water slightly different pH values result.
- the pH is adjusted to the range mentioned preferably by adding acids and / or more suitable Buffer systems.
- Citric acid is special prefers.
- the acids are preferred to the concentrate in an amount of 0.5 to 15% by weight, more preferably 2 up to 10 wt .-% added. Some of these are organic Acids such as citric acid are simultaneous Complexing agents in the sense of the invention.
- the corrosive effect of complexing agents such as NTA on anodized aluminum surfaces and the like can be reduced or completely avoided by adding at least one mono- and / or diester of phosphoric acid with aliphatic alcohols of chain length C 1 to C 22 and / or aliphatic diols and / or aliphatic polyols of chain length C 2 to C 22 .
- a diester of phosphoric acid with butanol on the one hand and ethylene glycol on the other hand is particularly preferred.
- This ester is commercially available under the name Hordaphos® MDGB. According to the invention, a good cleaning action is obtained even when using hard water and a gentle action on exloxed aluminum surfaces.
